Totally agree with all you said. I did my first con as a painter last year, I'll be back there next month. I took a lot of paintings and I use water based spray paint so I can paint live. I almost sold out on the first day and the 2nd day maybe a 1/4 of the first. Hopefully this time is more successful. Thanks for the tips.
@@APSprayArts Its funny you say that, I haven’t taken a crack at painting live with the water based paints yet but it’s on my to do list. I saw a guy doing it years back at MegaCon. His work was ok, but he was def making some sales
Thank you for sharing. I started doing spray paint art about 18 months ago - people are telling me I could sell them, but I'm not sure I'm ready or that I even want to. This is helpful content. Keep it up.
Yea don’t rush it. One pitfall is how your joy around art and creating changes when you start looking at it as a business. It becomes work and you’re way more critical of yourself, at least in my experience lol
@@AshSchultzArt This is the main reason I haven't seriously considered selling anything. I'm having fun - I don't want my fun hobby to become a job I feel like I "have to" do.
