That's understandable, but I don't get him arguing that only blacks can get mistreated at a grocery store. FYI: I loved him to death as a tight end for the Denver Broncos, have argued religiously w/ many at gyms about him being the greatest TE of all-time. The latter's neither here nor there, but just saying that I didn't grow up being anti-Shannon Sharpe.
So when is the "RIGHT" time to protest? This is the same person who would had been against John Carlos and Tommie Smith in their public protest at the 1968 Olympics.

I get what Dabo is trying to do but it is still BS at the end of the day. What holds him back from what he probably really want to say is because he has Black Players that he needs to continue to have a successful program and he don't want to piss them or their parents off. Instead of using the TROOPS like people are trying to use against Kaepernick, Dabo is using the rest of the "TEAM" to trying and discourage other Black Athletes from Protesting

Yeah this coach has got an interest in bringing on players that are predominantly going to be black but in any case, he still can experess his opinion in the manner that he did. This show has been pretty impressive so far but even more so with regards to Shannon. He really complements Skip and adds a nice aspect to the show that Stephen A never did. Still like First Take but this show seems more grown up.

But when and where is the right time to protest? From what I'm hearing and seeing is, never. Since we have some progress and success, that should be enough? Basically shut our mouths because master is treating us real good.
As was stated at the end of this segment, we just want equality across the board, as so we deserve it since this country was built on our shoulders and backs.
This country was meant to be Europe #2. We just built it. Ask yourself why does the media always keep up with the royals in Britain, since the American whites won the revolutionary war you would think that was the end of the European connection. All those declarations, constitution, and amendments weren't written with blacks in mind.

People don't do it in public setting like bars during games. The reason why is because the whole ceremony associated with the flag isn't about honoring a flag, its a show of commercialized patriotism for the NFL to garner positive PR.
players in the NFL didn't stand or even be present for the star spangled banner before 2009 . they used to never be on the field during that ceremony!!! the NFL was paid by the government to add patriotism in there games to recruit kids in America to the military. so what's respect for the flag if your paid to stand?

For the record, they took a 30 second clip of what he said. He wasn't trying to say "everything is okay", in fact he said the exact opposite. He was just saying that there is a lot of good in this country. Dabo was also saying that he believed the kneeling for the anthem created more division. He said multiple times there are serious issues that need to be addressed. He just believes that the division in our country is only getting bigger, and in the past year since his comments it only has gotten more divisive. Shannon is completely wrong on this one. Dabo says we have a black president, interracial marriages, interracial churches and all of those other things NOT to say that everything is fine. In fact immediately after that he says there are still tons of problems and we need to call them out where we see them. All he was saying with those points was how much Martin Luther King Jr helped change this world. And that his way of doing things by Loving Jesus and loving people actually helped and did a lot of good. You can't say what he said and take it out of context.
There wasn't this sort of outrage when Ammon Bundy and his buddies took over a federal building in Oregon with assault rifles.
But silently protesting is somehow worse. How is this not racist?

Although I disagree with Dabo's opinion, I dont think he is a racist. I think he is expressing his opinion because his thought process is unrealistic according to inequalities that exist in todays society.
I like Shannon Sharpes approach and commentary as it relates to todays issues for people of color as it relates to sports and everyday living situations. I get a sense of understanding, education, capassion, urgency, sincerity, confidence, obligation, and fearlessness to speak the truth from Shannon. He provides clarity for many and a opportunity for most to look at basic equality from the other persons perspective. I really like Undisputed. Much respect Shannon

I look at it this way I dont agree with the way Colin went about it but it did get this all started. Police should be held accountable for their actions but then again a lot of these instances would not have gotten out of control if the person would just do as the police officer instructed them to do. Times that I have had run ins with the police I listened to them and took my punishment. But there still is a lot of racism in America and all races are guilty. I am a white male and have black friends and there are 2 times when I was out with my friends we were harassed by police officers which would not happen if they were white. It is really sad how color still affects people. I do not like Pete Carrol at all but the way they stood arm and arm is a great start after Colin got this all going. Police have a very difficult job but they need to hold themselves to a higher standard.

Shannon says that if Dabo was concerned with certain issues, he should have a press conference because this is about black rights. However, when it comes to other social issues like Women getting higher pay or equal rights, he doesnt have a word even on social media since i started to follow him about it, and it has been a big deal since the USWNT has tried to make it big news.
