Your ass had to hustle back so they don’t get an easy put back. That made you hustle and develop elite defensive. I remember when I went to queens to play and that had that walk the ball back. I crushed them because they were not use to playing as hard on every shot even when you missed. Their defense was a joke and they couldn’t understand how I was able to get my own rebound over and over again lol.
