Would like to use the SwitchBot motion sensor to turn on hallway lights, as I don't have a two-way switch for it! Would also like to use the contact sensor on maindoor to turn on lights and fans upon reaching home! :))
@k_ithng I'll probably place the motion sensor under the foot of my bed, so it triggers the light to switch on if I need to get out of bed at night. For the contact sensor, attaching it inside the safe box to activate the cameras when the safe is open.
@slowrunner14 The contact sensor will be at the main door allowing me to ensure all lights are turn off when I’m heading out. Many times I found the kitchen or the bedroom lights are left turning on when returning from work. Next, motion sensor will be in the bedroom to trigger the aircon turning on when I head to the room and turning off when I headed out. Having the lights and aircon on when no one around will not only increase the bill and also not environmental friendly
@will1thing with my first child on the way, would really help simplifying things around the home with automation to focus and spend time taking care of the little one.

For the motion sensor, i will use in front of our stairs (stairs already guarded with fence) on second level between my kid room and my bedroom. He sometime wake up at night and come to our room. @rhyzhel 🇸🇬I would use the motion sensor near the kitchen when i go to the kitchen on those nights when I couldn’t sleep and to ‘ransack’ the fridge to have a quick fix for my growling tummy! :) As for the contact sensor, I would use it for my main door when back home. Who wouldn’t love a ‘welcome home’ greeting with all the curtains, the lights and the aircon turn on the moment u step in? Do it like a boss :D

I’ll connect the contact sensor to my door to help in notifying whenever someone leaves the room it will help to turn of electrical appliances, useful when sometimes going down tapau food forget off fan or ac or pc. I’ll use motion sensor to detect inactivity in the house, ie when I fall asleep and forgot to turn off the ac in the living room, fan or even the water heater. Happens many times 🤣
@domo_winson Switchbot contact sensor act as a geo fencing mechanism at my main door to turn off all my lights when i'm leaving home. Definitely helps when rushing to work in the early mornings. Switchbot motion sensor to provide full automation for lights and AC without the need for voice assistant like google nest mini in every single room. Automation to increase quality of life.

My kids just started sleeping in a separate room from us so the motion sensor will definitely be helpful for us if they walk out of their room dreamily and the light turns on automatically for their safety. As for the contact sensor, it works more for myself. The old brain of mine constantly leave lights and fans on when I leave the house so this contact sensor working in tandem with the motion sensor will be able to trigger the appliances to switch off if I’m not around.
@blackapplesportscards Given an opportunity, I would implement the contact censor at the MBR door, and motion censor in the living room. Purpose is to detect if there’s no motion for 45mins in the living room, high chance is that me and my partner would be resting in the MBR, and while the door of MBR is closed and contact sensor is aware, this will get the lights/aircon/fan/tv to be turned off in the living room. Hope I will get to implement this thru this giveaway! Cheers.
@Jjiaxx_ I would use the motion sensor to automate my hallway light so when my family member uses the common toilet, they won’t be finding doors and switches in the darkness.
I would like to use the motion sensor to automate the entryway lights when I enter my main door. This would be a better way to automatciall on my lights when I get home late at night; without having the need to manually press the switches. 🙌🏻
@mafia75 would use the contact sensor on my refrigerator so the i know when my kids open it… as for the motion sensor to turn on and off the light when the kids wake up to go toilet at night
@hendrykaede Thanks MADS for your video. I bought a bot combo set last time after saw your video and I am able to ask switchbot to provide me with Singapore fitting. I will use one of the Contact/Motion Sensor in the toilet to auto On/Off the light in the midnight as my daughter is not tall enough to switch it on manually. As I stay at first floor so I will place the Contact Sensor at the patio door for security and also for auto shut off everything if we go out. Thanks again! Stay Safe....

@ivykoh2 my fiancé kept saying that he should have called a contractor in to change the lights and switch to smart ones. And he is regretting that he did not do so before moving into our resale flat. But after watching this video, I can tell him, we don't need a contractor to do so. I will put the contact sensor at my bathroom door so that when I close the door, the heater will automatically be switched on and that my curtain will be drawn. Thinking about this makes me excited!

I already have the SwitchBot hub mini, thermometer, and bot that controls my home light and aircon. But I always need to unplug the power cable for the hub mini when I heading out, in order to avoid the aircon will operate automatically due to my temperature scene setting. So by having the motion sensor and SwitchBot contact sensor will be more helpful on my current automation and better control my home appliances in a more creative way.
@timothypoh With work from home being the new norm, I would love to use the motion sensor in my make shift office room, to switch on my ceiling fan using the switchbot bot, keeping myself cool during my work! The contact sensor can help turn on the light when I enter the room, helping me to get settle in for work quicker and faster! And to switch both the fan and the lights off when I knock off to conclude the day!

I'll definitely be using it to monitor if someone is in the room to turn off lights\AC (as i waste a lot of energy if they are left on) the contact sensor looks like the perfect addition for the kitchen window - so when the kitchen window is open the AC will be off, otherwise it'll turn on :)
would love to use the contact sensors to help turn on my storeroom lights whenever the door is open. My switch for my storeroom is hidden behind all the clutter and its always a scare having to reach in behind all the clutter just to turn on the light for my girls at home. having the switchbot press the switch everytime the contact sensors on the door are apart will help ease their fears! @warr15

With 2 elderlies living in the house, who are not doing so well physically, I've been looking into ways to bring in more smart ways to help them in their daily living and allow them to gain back some independence. This will also help ease the caregiving burden on the rest of us.
