I disagree that MacDonald took on the role of Pastor for the income. When his church wanted to get rid of him, they reduced his salary by a large degree, and he stayed!
Yeah if he was such a lousy preacher then why was he invited to preach all over the place? My experience with christians (which I was as a child and young adult so I had much experience with them) is that macDonald was right about them. These so called Christians have betrayed Christ IMO.
Thank you for your comment. We asked Dr. Larsen if he had a response for you and he offered the following: "The argument of the lecture was that MacDonald was not suited to the role of the pastor of a congregation. His preaching is more prophetic than pastoral. You are right that he has a message that Christians need to hear." Best wishes.
@@carolinafine8050 I for my part was four years in an evangelical church, later went to a more calvinistic church and know therefore roughly a hundred christians more or less well. There were probably 2-3 christians who tried to follow Jesus teaching of love, the rest were ignorant, self-righteous and egoistic assholes. Sry, not sry. I'm still a follower of Jesus, but wouldn't call myself christian any longer. Christians vote republicans, don't give a shit about poor people and reduce Christianity to homophobia, abortion and an angry God who burns most people in hell for eternity.
