Oh my goodness I needed this! A couple weeks ago I bought a cover girl green primer and it was fragranced, immediately burned my skin so bad! Don’t most people with redness have sensitive skin? So why would any company make a redness correcting primer with fragrance 😩.

What I want to know is how these “clean” beauty brands still have fragrance in them? They’re free of all these supposedly harmful ingredients but then add scented oils which are… hello… perfume. Someone please tell me how that’s clean?

I'm always intrigued by how gentle you are in applying your makeup. It''s such a contrast to some of the influencers who are in a hurry and kind of yelling at me. Your quiet voice and the way you apply makeup is relaxing and deliberate and focused - a kind of meditation. That's how I find the process of putting on makeup, I completely disappear into it. For red face problems - I've been spraying the Hylamide SubQ Mist on my face when I get out of the shower or after I wash my face and then use the Hylamide Sensitive Fix as a primer. Over time it has worked wonders, especially on my cheeks. Also, I wondered if the first color you used from the Kaja Bento Box is similar to the second color in Elf's Bite Size Shadow in Rose Water. It looks very similar.

I'm a redhead with rosacea so I know your struggle! I now focus more on skincare to get rid of the redness and that's REALLY helped. My favorites: NIOD'S Modulating Glucosides (almost instant results), Procure Rosacare (Amazon-love this stuff), and any product with B5 (Panthenol) or licorice. I feel like I am missing out on some real benefits. I’m glad you have found some products that work for you. Great tricks. So many things that can be good for the skin can be irritating to some. I can’t use vitamin c, niacinamide or any sunscreen with iron oxide which is often in tinted sunscreens. I develop a chemical dermatitis (red, flaky irritated and dry and itchy). My dermatologist has given me a steroid cream to repair the skin barrier which worked great. Vaseline helps also as it is very emollient. The green does help. I have light to medium olive skin and I use a concealer for light spot correcting and it contains lot of green anyway, so I don’t usually need the plain green corrector.

@@ShelbeyWilson I suggest an LED light face mask, it works for so many people to reduce or eliminate redness and you can usually find them with 7 color options on craigslist. Highly recommend.

Shelbey, if I were to pick one , the nars or kosas, which one for my mature normal leaning dry skin? Thanks!

It could just be that I'm cool toned, but I prefer the Nars Light Reflecting in Yukon. The Kosas was always too yellow for me, and personally I found it to be heavier than the Nars. I really try to use 1.5 pumps which is the one difficult thing about Nars. The pump is difficult to control. BTW, I'm 54 so definitely in the mature skin category.

@@khadams210 I agree. I’m your age and Nars works much better for my dry skin. Kosas felt drying on me. Also as I recall it had an off-putting scent? I’m going to try Shelbey’s tip to sheer out the Nars a bit since I’m more of a lighter coverage girl. Luminous Silk has its place for me as well but these days I need a bit more coverage on my redness. Coincidentally I just used the WA Petal today with the Nars. Shelbey must be in my head.

I am very fair skinned red head, in my youth, with roceaca. 2 years ago my derm put me on Diferin. What a game changer. My dry scaley, bumps gone. No more bumpy red chin, cheeks.etc. I thought it would dry my skin out but it did the opposite. I am now on Tretinoin for my skin issue and it is even better. Melasma is going away.
Have you been tested for red dye allergies? My roceasa would come and go do to my period as well.
I love the Nars foundation. It’s the only one I use now. I use very little. For me it is shear to med coverage. Also try LaRoche posay cicoplast balm.

Hi! Can you tell me, or anyone, which bronzing drops you used to deepen your foundation? I’m on the hunt 😊
