Jealous Rage Leads To A Family Of Six Savagely Slain - The Story of The Spanish Harlem Massacre

In May of 1993, a woman by the name of Maria Rodriguez tried everything she could to be free of her ex boyfriends rage. She was finally ready to leave, but her life, and that of everyone living in her home, including her three children would be taken before she would ever get the chance. Rest In Peace to Maria Rodriguez, her children Billy, Jennifer and Linda. My deepest condolences go out to her loved ones. You aren't forgotten.
The fact that the man has a parole date is beyond bothersome. Justice has failed. He will have the opportunity to do this to others. My heart goes out to the family and those lost in this heartbreaking/traumatic situation.
That's exactly what drove me to make this video. I'm contacted quite often by people who have to see these monsters who've literally gotten away with m*rder. They live in their neighborhoods and live a normal life like nothing ever happened. Drawing attention to situations like this is CRITICAL when it comes these people possibly being released. With no attention, there is a good chance he will be at a yankee game in a few years like nothing ever happened yet again. The internet has power to change that. Nobody here wants that man free, EVER. I may not be a lawyer or work with judges, but I can certainly draw attention to this in a way they never will. People have voices, time to start using them.
Thank you for educating us because the school system failed us.
I don't know why Maria's ex boyfriend didn't call the cops when he saw the dead bodies instead of trying to face that psycho.
her ex boyfriend was in pr riot in the apt the one who found the bodies before the psycho got home was the aunts husband who was also living in the home@@candycane5635
Yeah. This guy is probably one of the most evil people I've heard of. He can sleep and go to work after murdering innocent kids (especially the baby 😢) like he just didn't commit the most heinous crime.... and this guy has the possibility to get out?
The audacity to kill an entire family and to then just causally go to a yankee game? He is the definition of evil.
Not only that but return and go to sleep there like nothing happens and next day go to work and come back and kill another human SMFH I'm sick to my stomach right now

Don’t tell them you’re leaving. Just disappear. Ghost them.
Absolutely 🎯💯
I totally agree.
That’s what my grandma did. Middle of the night with her two kids and clothes in trash bags. Told friends she was moving to one place and went 1000 miles the other way. She saved her family
they can still find you I know many women that went to a shelter somehow their abusers found them
Definitely!!!!!!! Take yo shit and go farther than the farthest, silence is key this made me cry so hard I’m not sure if this was my hardest cry but it sure felt like it 🙏🏾
We didn't deserve the first 10 minutes. That was extra and it was beautiful thank you.
I think that we definitely deserved it. 😮
It's marvelous. I learn a bit about NYC every time.
I knew east Harlem was Italian before kind of like north Newark was Italian with people like Frankie valli and sopranos from there and now north Newark is almost 100% hispanic
That's exactly why I love this channel!
@@DevilOnlyKnitsLaceSame here 👍🏼
Leaving is the most dangerous time for anyone in a domestic abuse situation. When the abuser thinks or feels they have lost control over the situation they are more likely to kill the victim.
People do it everyday unfortunately.. her mistake was telling him she was leaving instead of just leaving
I waited until my ex was sent to jail for something else and moved as far as I could but still be able to see my family.
@@Ruth78620 fear kept me with mine for far far too long I am so thankful everyday I made it out alive. Hope you are doing well. It still amazes me how many people have went thru or are still going thru domestic violence. I'm not a fool I know it happens a lot hell my mom was abused by my dad for years. Fortunately for us my dad actually changed about 15-20 years before he passed and was very remorseful for how he treated my mom. I feel connected somehow to others who have went thru abuse just by having that one thing in common. I hope u are happy and in a healthy relationship now.
Yup. That's true.
@kes78 Thank God you got out.
I remember this day like it was yesterday. Maria and her family lived a few blocks down from my dad and his family. She was known as a very sweet young lady who was family oriented. Her and her family’s passing shook the whole El Barrio. Oddly enough, Maria and her family are buried in the same aisle as my dad and grandpa in St Raymond’s Cemetery. This definitely hits close to home. Impeccable job, once again, José.
They didnt pass they were killed may they all rest in peace

I was at their graves recently, attending a friends funeral service, I walked past their grave and seen toys, and all the names with the same date. I looked up the names and dates and read this sad story online. Thank you for making this. No one should ever forget them- and as the look of their grave, no one’s forgotten them, even now in 2023 😢
Thank you! Thank you for sharing this message to let the rest of us know they have NEVER been forgotten but at least one person. ❤❤Thank you so much
One monster, six victims...36 years to life. As if the tragedy of six lives lost forever isn't heartbreaking enough, the justice system gives this evil monster 36 years to life instead of life w/o the possibility of parole? What's the hell is wrong with this picture? 😠😡🤬
It’s a lot wrong that man should never see any type of light and you killed a helpless baby wtf could the baby do to anyone including his evil demonic ass but no worries GOD is dealing with that monster I hope everyday that he is alive he sees every face of the the lives he stole every second of the day I hope your mind is flooded with the images and voices of those you chose to play GOD over everyday until your maker returns for you I hope it’s a living hell people like you should never be forgiven
They literally gave him 6 years for each person. Hopefully he will not get paroled. This is outrageous!!
My exact thoughts 🤔 6years for each victim is a spit in the face! That demon should've gotten the death penalty or at least life w/o parole! These poor victims didn't get justice but vengeance is the Lord's he will soon have his day! Rip 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🙏🏽
@@jersey_queen9356 When you put it in that perspective that's F*CKED UP! The crime itself is most definitely F*CKED UP. The sentence just made it 10 times worse. That's disgusting.

This started out so beautifully- learning the history of Spanish Harlem was so interesting. But what happened to this poor family has me sick. Those sweet babies pictures broke my heart. Billy, especially, hurt, because he just sounds like such an amazing little boy who deserved to grow up. Rest in peace.
I remember this,I was 13 yrs old and grew up only 6 blocks away! Very sad, you never tell an abuser that your leaving you just go. She was young and uninformed about domestic violence. I bet that this man was 100% NARCISSISTIC, WITHOUT A DOUBT.
That's exactly why I did this video. People don't understand the amounts of comments I receive from your women trying to escape their possessive and abusive exes. Others aren't privy to all the red flags and can believe it's love when it isn't. This is a cautionary tale and can help young women get out before its too late.
@@EvilIntentions agree 100%, I'm a survivor 💪
2nd degree murder?
That's sickening. 3 kids lives, wasted. 2 grandparents. 1 partner....
Wasn't an accident. He kept taking naps. Went to a baseball game. Went to work.
His sentence should've been 35 years per body.
Bill was my classmate and sat next to me in class. I'm so happy their story was covered. This was the most gruesome nightmare .
I also went to P.S. 109 Billy was my friend him and his sister we would take the bus home
Thank you for sharing the history of Spanish Harlem and what life was like for boricuas in New York. My Mom's family is Puerto Rican from the Bronx. My Grandpa came to the US in the 40s and experienced vicious racism. As a little boy, he was attacked at a public pool. He was forced underwater until his eardrum burst, leaving him deaf. This kept him out of the Navy, which was his dream! Hate kills dreams! Hate destroys families. RIP my grandfather Michaelangelo Leon and to this beautiful family🕊
💔
💔
What a sick and deranged individual he was. This is heartbreaking 😢😭
Devastating
My heart goes out to this young lady and her family I was a little kid in 1993 and hearing this now it brought me to tears no one deserves this it’s sad at this time I had a childhood friend who’s mother went through the same thing unfortunately her mom lost her life as well and it’s so heartbreaking how can you be so selfish of a person that you take a way a mother from her children all because you don’t know how to deal with or accept rejection
My heart goes out to them as well. I underatand how hard it can be to listen to these details. The only way to get justice these days is to be loud about it. This many can be free in a few years I'd what sources have listed is correct. I'd like to make sure I keep their names alive so that he is NEVERRRRRR free. The details in the story were very difficult, but I'd imagine that sekng this.man get his freedom would be much worse.

Literally killing an 18 month old baby with a tennis racket is another level of evil. Then he gets a possibility of parole? Unbelievable. Ramon was a straight DEMON.

This is the story of my best friend bill. His mother boyfriend used to take us to McDonald's.

Oh my Lord, this story literally bought tears to my eyes. I suffered years of domestic violence and know what it’s like to try escape and live free. That putrid, evil, worthless killer is nothing but a true mistake of nature. He deserves the death penalty. I hope he gets a taste of his own medicine by the other inmates. He will always be a danger to women and children. I know he will rot in hell for eternity. May these victims rest in peace with our Lord God.🩵🩵🩵
Well said! I couldn't have said it any better. Rip to all victims of Domestic Violence. I'm so sick of these predators getting a slap on the wrist
Hi Jose, I'm so happy you posted. 🙂 Now, why isn't this individual under the prison... He took those innocent babies lives for no reason at all...not taking anything away from the adults who's lives were lost. It hurt even more when it's children... It's just horrible 🥲
For the life of me I have never been able to understand why whenever a Murderer or just Evil people come walking out of the police station with their head down…I wouldn’t give them a Bulletproof Vest…Jennifer, Billy and Baby Linda had Nothing to protect their little bodies from that monster😢😢 My Deepest Condolences to the Family ❤
System is on crack but if you defend yourself in the street against a piece of garbage they wanna lock you up and tops the key. Your the bad guy man democrats can kiss my ass
How can this man be given a chance at parole after killing so many people? That is not justice. He should spend the rest of his life in max security knowing he will die there. Now the family has to relive this nightmare every time he comes up for parole. So cruel.
I agree.
I was only 8 years old. But remember this like it was yesterday. This hit so closed to home, as we lived in the neighborhood. I remember how traumatized my mom was.
Did you such an amazing job of covering these cases.. Unlike other channelsyoi give an in depth look into these cases. Combining social, economic, and cultural factors, all of which make me feel and understand the tragedy in these cases rather than just focusing on the demise of the victims.. they're more than just victims and cases, they are people who had promising lives and a story to tell...YOU ARE TELLING THEIR STORY🙏🏿🙏🏿
I will never understand why people stay in abusive relationships, especially when children are involved
Me neither
@@gabrielleabraham5773you just saw why. Leaving is the most dangerous time.
It's ok to be alone no need for relationships with 3 young children by different men
Of course you wouldn’t. Nice victim blaming, especially since she DID try to leave 🙄
Her mistake was letting him come back. Women stop taking these dusty, unstable men back. They got one time to show you who they are.
Facts
If the precious baby death was because she was overcome by smoke, that means that she was alive slowly dying in pain for those two days, then suffocated. This story hit hard!! S.I.P to All
My god this broke my entire heart…I’m from Philly and I love this channel but thank you for your providing the audience with the background on East Harlem! Learning more about NY and the neighborhoods with each of your videos!
I’m from Brooklyn, but one of my friends lived in Spanish Harlem,so I spent a lot of time there, and this video brought back so many memories, both good and bad, this one was extremely devastating, there’s no way that this savage should ever see the light of day, that sentence is an insult
The Judge can take him home since he wants to give this killer such a light sentence! So when he is released in 30 years, send him home with the Judge who didnt give him Life in prison. He killed 6 innocent people & they give him 6 years per person?! Wtf our judicial system is disgusting.
This is an excellent history lesson. You taught me things about my hood that I didn’t know. I grew up on the same block but never heard about this tragedy.
Six people slaughtered and no one hears. That evil heartless Ramon is cold as ice. Murdering all these people then continue living in the home as if nothing ever happened with their bodies all around him. That sentencing was a slap to all six of those victims. It's a terrible joke. Sweet Billy looked just liked his mom.
This was well done. Any murder documentary would gladly have a good writer like you. I'm Canadian and had no idea about the history of Spanish Harlem. Also you showed absolute respect for the deceased family. I'm a subscriber.
You did an amazing job telling this story, I can only imagine how these stories take a toll on you mentally they be so messed up to say the least, thank you for your work.
I’m mad dude hasn’t been eliminated in prison, there’s no way he should live to see the parole board. I hate to say it but Maria takes some of the blame for exposing her kids to that level of violence on a regular basis and putting them in harms way. Once he hit her in front of her kids the relationship should of been over. RIP to all the lives lost.
100% if you are alone and decide to stay in an abusive relationship, then that is your choice. But putting your children in that kind of danger, is also disgusting behavior. You had those kids, they are your responsibility to keep them safe. Also, the court system is so fucked. This POS absolutely should have been executed in prison. RIP to the innocent victims 😢💔. Horrible story. Also, WTAF neighbors. No one called police?! This had to be loud. This "no snitching culture" is a huge part of the problem. If they had been called, some of them could have been saved.
I love your videos... thank you for taking the time to go deep into the lives of the victims to remind the world that they were human beings and very loved despite their tragedy.....

Such a sad story.😔
I'm Mexican American from the south side of Chicago.
My ex boyfriend didn't beat me but when I left my ex boyfriend for his excessive cheating, I left our apartment without him knowing.
I packed up all my things when he was "with her" and left and moved back to my neighborhood and never looked back!
People told me my ex boyfriend was looking for me after that.
He eventually found out where I lived and moved down the block "with her" and would pass by my apartment and would see me with my new boyfriend and he would shout out my name over and over and laugh.
Thank God my new boyfriend has no clue who he was. I lied and told him I didn't know who he was because I was so scared.
After that, my ex boyfriend even sneaked in at my birthday yard party uninvited while I was with my new boyfriend and he had this evil look in his eye.
He would also come to my apartment drunk looking for me calling my name.
Thank God he moved far away "with her" before he did anything crazy and I haven't seen him in over 20 years!
Smart moves you made! I’m very happy that you made it out safely and hopefully you’ll never see him ever again.
