Adding power makes a car fast, removing weight makes a car fun... Apparently the first gen 700kg lotus Elise is some of most fun you can have in a car, even though they have less than 200hp.
Colin Chapman motto “simplify, then add lightness”. So adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere. Consequently they need to be careful just adding batteries, battery density is key to limit weight. I have the Mini SE, awesome on U.K. A and definitely B roads.

I'd say the biggest problem are EVs which are racing fast for fraction of the price. For bragging rights cars like Model S Plaid or even GAC Hyper costs a tenth and are quicker

This thing will probably be in the sub 7 minute range and do it lap after lap after lap after lap. Got to love the reliability of that Nissan Motor

It really looks good indeed but in this era of EVs I'm afraid performance is pretty average. Check out the new GAC hyper which is a HyperCar at a fraction of the price and is quicker

Seen thecPraga in the Czech Republic as my misses is from there, its a mad looking car an one of the best engines around, and he's not lying as it sounds ungodly. This car could easily push 1200bhp if wanted. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but my word its amazing.
This car looks absolutely stunning but I really dig this clever interior design, not bothering with some mostly janky infotainment system like other brands and just sticking with your smartphone is a great solution many brands should consider.
I know the Praga R1 is a dope race vehicle, watched the whole series this year again. Shoutout to Jimmy Broadbent and Gordie Mutch on their win this year

700hp for ~900kg with almost a tonne of downforce on tap at track cornering speeds is Group C stuff, let alone hypercar stuff. Can't wait to see it do runs at Goodwood FOS and then never be seen or heard-about ever again.

Having road cars that look like protype racers, you have gordan murray to thank for that with the rocket and caparo t1. There's gtr v6 engines can make 3,500hp with everything on them.

Considering what Praga is and what they're best at, I'm pretty sure half the world is bummed they didn't make a LMH racer, and the other half is relieved in the way that only someone who experiences a near miss from a bullet is.
The reason car companies don't just forget touch screens and integrate people's smartphones is because in reality people want the screens in their cars to be vastly larger than their smartphones.
Go with a tablet then. Car touchscreens are sooo bad; colors, resolution, touch, response, the UI that's already outdated when the car is released. It's bad. Give me an iPad holder and an app and I will be kissing your feet
I was just thinking that at this price you would be near the price range of the GMA stuff (granted both the t50 and t33 are sold out afaik) and imo those should blow this out of the water, especially if you count everyday usability as a factor.

Just a little problem with using your phone. The law changed in the UK in that you are not allowed to touch any mobile device whilst a car is running. Nice though.

I'd always choose weight rather than grunt - I drove a V6 Clio back to back with my 5 Turbo back in the day - It was like driving a fast Elephant.....

The best part about using the VR38 is that power upgrades anywhere from a little bump to well over 2000hp are relatively affordable.
