The opening is right to the point and heart felt, thank you. I had to put down my 11 1/2 year old rottie this past Friday..........One more walk would have be wonderful!
Crate Train, Crate Train, Crate Train! Even tho I work in a shelter Robert has provided many new and useful insights, tools, techniques and philosophies. The positive and diverse benefits of crate-ing are probably the most surprising to me in its effects on our dogs. Just do it ... it’s easy and so good for the dogs, they will love you for it.
Crates are for LAZY people who don't want to give their dogs guidance and discipline. People use crates to put away their dog for many, many hours, often the whole day! That is ABUSE!! Go and sit in a crate yourself all day and then come back to say how 'nice' it was.
My dogs crate is a safe place for my dog. He’s a border collie and puppies are like babies. He starts his day early, at 10:30 am we crate him for 1 hour for down time. And he is never forced to go in, but goes willingly. His crate is Not our babysitting box. Plus if anyone is taking the time to watch ROBERT’S videos is striving to-train their dog in the best and safest way for their fur baby.
I say thanks to Zed every night before we sleep. It is just me and Zed for Christmas, so nice and quiet. No scraps ever from me from the first day and never have dogs interested in my food. Great advice here as always Robert. No cooked bones either.
Great video! We just did a trip to Texas for Thanksgiving with our dog and puppy. Crated and leashed in the car! One recommendation I would give for the tags is if you are traveling out of state have the City and State that you are from on the tag as well. So if they go missing they know the dog is from out of town.
I adopted a 3.5 yr. old German Shepherd/Malinois mix a few days and I absolutely love your channel and podcast. Your insights prepared me tremendously in understanding dog behavior. I use your training techniques and I see that they really work! Thanks Robert.
Love this video!!! Robert Cabral you have a lot of really informative videos.. I wish I would have found you awhile back but all good me and Sarge are on track in his training.
... Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Robert (belated). Hope your Christmas-Haunika-Quonza Holiday is a good one (I didn't miss amy one, did I? 😉) ...
my vet says the dogs like cat poop cuz cats are oblgate carnivores so apparently their poo tastes reaslly good to dogs. :0 I had to build a table (which doubles as a folding table) and built walls around it with a little door for the cats. The one "wall" snaps off really easy for cleaning and then snaps back on. it helps the cats have privacy and helps contain the smell!! Plus any time we put new litter in the new puppy thinks its a sandbox and go crazy too! So we had to hide the box. Everyones happy now and no more poop eating!! :(
I have your collar for my To German Shepherd females I love it. Great idea about taking medical records. I have the bill on my phone I guess that probably would not be enough thanks for the input. As always wonderful video
Elevate the litter box. I instantly cured the cat poo issue by securing the box to a cat tree. My dogs always get a nibble off my plate but I graciously let them enjoy All their food. No nibbles for me.
@@RobertCabralDogs The thanks come from all of your viewers Robert. Enjoy the holidays and may the new year be healthy and prosperous for you, Janet, Goofy, Maya, Dawayne-inator - did I forget someone? ✌🖖
I would not give Sherman away for a billion dollars. I am serious. I would not give or sell any of my pets. I live in a home built in 1885, have one and one half extra lots fenced in and watching my pets enjoy it is a little bit of Heaven
I want one of these collars but am in the UK and having looked on their website they are only for the US. Do you know if they have plans to make one for the UK or if there is anyone that does that you could recommend? Many thanks
good points about pet sitting. Leave notes for your sitter!!! And better yet PORTION out your food. Man, did I learn this the heard way. had a friend look in om ny dogs. was supposed to be gone for 3 days max. I left out 3 days worth of food on the counter with detailed instructions. I came back after 1 day, and good thng I did. The dude fed the dogs the ENTIRE 3 days worth in one feeding!!! How dum are you dude?!?!?! Glad I came back, not too glad when I had to take them out to potty!! :( Ppl really should do this when letting others care for your fish!! theres another pet that always gets overfed when you're away.
Watch out for the fools setting off fireworks ! One of the stupidest things humans do to the environment, plus it costs a fortune (and terrifies the animals, not just the dogs.
I have a Westy then I got a GSD more for protection when I go out , I made sure the GSD is a female because The Westy is not friendly with other dogs but he is good on the dog park with other doge , at first he was very good when we brought the GSD home and she was in heat as soon that was over Westy will have nothing to do with Esta the GSD, I am very disappointed tried so many things he is very jealous when Esta comes to me I thought they will have a good time together because Esta tries so hard , I would never do this again , will keep them both because I love them both it’s just hard to find the middle ground where both are happy together is there anything I am missing??
After owning East european shepherd, german shepherd and a rottie, (combined 10 years) i am getting malinois this week, was researching the breed for over a year now. Have read few books about russian kinology and im feeling ready to have a dog again.. he is 3.5 months tho..
Make it ckear to guests NOT to handle the dog unless you allow it. It is YOUR dog and their 'hurt feelings' are a manipulation game to get to dow what they want. Do not allow it.... you are all the dog has and the guests will be gone very soon...
Hearing that your dogs still get excited and jump up and take food off plates makes me feel a lot better about my dog doing those things.
The opening is right to the point and heart felt, thank you. I had to put down my 11 1/2 year old rottie this past Friday..........One more walk would have be wonderful!
Tough loss. 😞
Great videos like always ..... Robert. Keep videos coming please!!!!!!
