(this will only seem boring, hang in with me) … on January 24, 1916, in the matter of Brushaber v. Union Pacific Railroad (240 U.S. 1, page 16-17) the Supreme Court ruled " … taxation on income was in its nature an excise" - yawwwwwn - what that means is that "taxation on income" (Income Tax) is an Excise Tax (Internal Revenue Code, Subtitle D and Subtitle E) … (again, hang in here with me) … "Excise Tax" (chapters 51, 52, and 53 of Subtitle E) is a USER TAX (e.g., tax on cigarettes, tax on gasoline usage for your car) … Income Tax IS NOT a Direct Tax (meaning on people or property) - think about it, why isn't there a Property Tax on your home? … a “Taxpayer” (think: “ATF”) are the Corporations (Subtitle E) who manufacture cigarettes, NOT their employees (e.g., R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.), distill alcohol (e.g., Jack Daniels) or distribute firearms (NOT fireworks) … that's who a "Taxpayer" IS … your W-4 Form trapped you.
the guest from the Internal Revenue Service (@ 23:18), when attempting to discuss "Direct Tax" (which is a real thing), referred to the 16th Amendment (although he referred to it as "Article 16 of the Constitution"), to support the "Income Tax," his logic fails because the 16th Amendment has TWO "without" clauses (i.e., without apportionment among the several States, without regard to any census or enumeration) meaning the Income Tax IS NOT a Direct Tax on people or property but, as the Supreme Court clearly stated, "taxation on income was in its nature an EXCISE" … Government officials (such as IRS employees) justify any way possible to twist the truth to collect an Income Tax while the public is at their mercy because they don't know …

when Irwin Schiff says (13:27) "I'm not saying you should pay [income tax] or shouldn't … it's voluntary, pay as much as you want" what he means (or is trying to say) is that IF you are a Taxpayer you're REQUIRED to file a Return. and when the Supreme Court ruled that "taxation on income was in its nature an excise" the tax is an excise tax which is governed by the Rule of Uniformity - an Indirect Tax - (meaning the collection of tax - IS UNLIMITED) versus the Rule of Apportionment - a Direct Tax - (meaning the collection of tax IS LIMITED based on "apportionment" or the number of people - Census or Enumeration … if YOU are the Taxpayer - Indirect Tax, as an Excise - feel free to pay as much tax as you want to.

I used to work with someone who believed all this anti-tax, he ended up getting audited and fined. Not saying I like The IRS but crackpots pretty much get what they deserve in the end.

If somebody posted a video of Pooh dripping down a wall, we would both say that it's terrible. And we will both comment that. But according to yourself, us commenting that poo dripping down a wall is terrible. Is somehow weighing in favor of the claim that the show is not terrible somehow. Such backward logic. The idea that's simply because something is generating derision that it is somehow of any value. That's why you guys love Trump! Holy moly I just figured it out. What a breakthrough!!

19:27 Not true -- the Electoral College overrode the popular vote on three different occasions in the 1880s, and it's happened since as well.
I knew a guy who had a massive $750,000 bill from the IRS that was ballooned over a 20 year period from interest and other penalties. They never came after him because he made a RELIGIOUS argument against paying his taxes.

Internal Revenue Service, while their message seems correct (i.e., Internal Revenue Code §61 defines "wages" as "compensation for service") is deceiving the public … I took the Government to Federal Court over this issue (Abdo v. United States Government, Internal Revenue Service, 176 F. Supp. 2d 495 (M.D.N.C. 2001) … wages (§1402(d) that points to chapter 21- §3121 - of the Code) HAS EXCLUSIONS that reduce the amount subject to tax but I.R.S. fools the public INCLUDING Tax Professionals to adopt/accept "compensation for services" (i.e., commission income) as "wages" TO DISGUISE all available exclusions, pushing reported income closer to Gross Income.
"voluntary compliance" begins when a person acts like a “Taxpayer,” such as filing an Income Tax Return (I know you filed so that you could get your fucking tax refund, but you got trapped … you'll understand why in a moment), filing a W-4 Form - request for Income Tax TO BE WITHHELD - another act that a "Taxpayer" would do … W-4 Forms are the trap RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING, it's paperwork (built on logic that people don't normally do - claiming “0” or “1” or “2” or “10” - that number pins you to a column on a spreadsheet for an amount of money you'll pay in (which is more than you owe - hence your tax refund) … welcome to the trap, you're a Taxpayer (NOT a Wage-Earner, Home-Owner, American Citizen, but a TAXPAYER) … next is, who is the Taxpayer ?
I ran a Tax Services company for 22 years (I'm NOT here to affirm or deny Irwin Schiff's - God, rest his soul - claims/allegations) … the problem begins with the term “Taxpayer,” defined - for Income Tax - in section 1313(b) of the Internal Revenue Code and states “… "taxpayer" means any person subject to a tax under the applicable revenue law” - what APPLICABLE revenue law is a person who works any job in American SUBJECT TO (if a person assumes they're a “Taxpayer” - which is their choice - then file a Tax Return BASED ON YOUR INCOME AS A TAXPAYER … next, I'll address this issue of “voluntary compliance” above …
an Income Tax Return IS REQUIRED … IF … you are a Taxpayer (defined in §1313(b) of the Internal Revenue Code) … all this other crap is an exercise of a waste of time … if you're a Taxpayer, file your Tax Return and pay your tax, PERIOD … end of discussion … BUT … challenge this issue IF YOU ARE a Taxpayer.
