Strange. I bought the Anker Power Solar flex 3 port 24w model. I try charging any phone during peak sunlight and the charging sequence is constantly interrupted. Charge on charge off charge on charge off. Every other second it seems. The battery depletes faster when plugged in to the solar panel versus if it was just sitting on its own.
hello, I'm thinking of buying a portable solar charger, what do you think of the 21w anker model 513, I think the construction of the panel is made of PET plastic which over time can turn yellow allowing less light to pass through, while the 24w model seems be made of ETFE plastic which is more resistant and durable. Any recommendation?
I own a 4 solar panel charger & power pack attached to it. Go Power DuraPack 8 watt. Does this Anker 24 w solar charger comes with an attached power Bank?
That thing does pretty bad in the sun...like the material does not handle heat in the 100 degree zone. The black material absorbs heat and melts the plastic on the back. Just falls apart on a hot day. Whatever you do for the "new to solar people" never leave your phone in the anker pouch on the back. They are not intended for the phones or power banks, just the cables. Also for it's power output for its weight is pretty sub par too. Many solar panels weigh around 1lb to 1lb+ with power outputs at 5v 2.0 amps or more on a good sunny day. Overall the Anker 24w solar panel is fine but there are other options on Amazon that beat it in price. 24w is misleading and is just like any other 21w folding solar panel. You are essentially paying for the name, also to note the anker power banks that charge at a higher voltage like a quick charge power bank don't work well this solar panel that charges at 5v 2.4amps which is more traditional for basic "none anker" power banks. Most anker power banks have a strange charge protocol with high volts and averages > like this 20volts 1amp. So what happens is the solar panel controller trickle charges due to its safety features like over voltage protection or under voltage protection. To finish also, the panels get pretty hot and the efficiency lowers, so you have to use it on semi warm days for its max efficiency. Not in places like the Mojave Desert or Arizona.
This piece of junk will not even charge an iPhone 4 or any other device without flip-flopping on off on off everyone brags about Anker's last solar panels but these are junk 7:59

Great review
What's better this thing or BigBlue 28w panel?
Id go with the flexsolar 40w. It gives a lot more power.
👍👍👍
Waist of money not able to charge my phone only able to charge earbuds.
Make sure you have in direct sunlight for it to work.

Out of stock!
Will hopefully be back in stock soon.
Ordered one today!!! wondering if you know about an IP rating. Or if you could recommend any type of rubber dust covers for the UBS ports?
