I think the reason it's not nominated is because there's a lot of reuse melody. The series had the best chance at winning back in 2018 but it lost to Red Dead Redemption 2. I haven't played the other but I know a good game music when I play one and Octopath Traveler is one of them.
Critical Clash never fails to get me amped for a major battle. Crazy how the perfect banger can elevate moments from the game!
Octopath Traveler II is hands down the best OST in 2023
Critical Clash 2 is absolute fire, those strings and brasses go absolutely crazy.
Tempest on the Battlefield is incredible too
