I'm a Board Certified Optician, I have more than 25 years experience. I have to saw WOW! You did a great job of informing your viewers of what to look for. I would add there are some restrictions when choosing glasses with stronger prescription.
Polarized lenses offer the best glare protection.
Further, key benefits of choosing lens (tint or) color: Grey tinted lenses offer truest color perception, so a white with look grey but most other colors appear the same only darker. The Brown and amber tinted lenses will give better depth of field. That is why a lot of hunters choose brown or amber lenses. The Green (G-15 by Ray Ban) lenses give clear crisp vision but do change the color of what you are looking at. It is a good choice for golfers, the ball shows up better and the greens are better the down side is that a white car can appear green.
The darkest lenses are mirrored.
All of these things can be discussed with your optician including lens coatings.

Im off topic but I saw your brands list you have on the real men website. I noticed that you seem to have zero recommendations from Uniqlo, even though they sell quite a few items on your list, for a low price, and in simple classic colors or fashions (well...sometimes).

I'm highly confused you said clubmaster are good for round face and heart shaped faces but yet on your website with chart for glasses. Clubmasters are basically browline glasses which says neither round nor heart shaped faced should wear. Any thoughts?

When you're "dressing up" should you try to match your glasses/shades with your leathers? i.e. Shoes/belt/watch. My sunglasses and specs are both tortoise shell, but my leathers are all black. Appreciate the videos!

Antonio, Have you ever heard of Randolph Engineering? In my opinion they make the best Aviators around. 100% built in the USA and have been standard issue to the U.S Air Force since 1982. Highly recommend!
I bought vintage sunglasses via eBay in recent years. I can highly recommend it, even if you're not able to try them on. A little bit of research about the measurements of these glasses, compared to your cheapos, and it will work in 90% of all cases.
They're way cheaper than brand new ones in most cases, and still you'll get the glasses you care for. Most of the time vintage sunglasses didn't have flashy brand logos, which is something I consider as a plus.

Hey Antonio, for the everyday life I got a all black Ray-Ban Aviator Classic, its just very relaxing having something thats simple, fits to most of my watches and other clothing, as well as my car. Occasionaly I might wear a diffrent set of aviators, with a golden frame and dark brown/reddish lenses. But those are worn not that often, since I usally dont wear my golden watches.
For beach time I got a pair of wayfarers with a black front, orange/red lenses with bordeux temples.

Yes, I agree. I personally own 2 pairs. One is brushed steel while other is gold plated. Bothe are 36mm lenses. Just keep in mind gold seems thicker and wider than steel while spectacle size is the same.

Man, I've been stuck on Oakleys for so long. Had a pair of M frames survive multiple deployments until the frames just stopped holding the lenses in. Got another pair that I use in my shop in place of safety glasses. Ran a pair of Bottlecaps until the frame wore out. Same with a set of Halfjackets. Thing I like about them are the impact resilience of the glasses, they're optically correct, any for most of the frames I've owned, I can go straight from dressing them up for a formal occasion and go straight to the range and shoot all A zone groupings.

I love sun glasses like the aviators but they never looked good on me. So I would just give them away. But since I found this channel two years ago I found that they come in different sizes. My head is big and round. So I had to purchase the bigger lenses and I like the way they look. So any glasses I buy I make sure the size are appropriate to my face shape. Damn this big head😏😏😏😏

Acouple of Oliver Peoples and Ray Bans are the only sunglasses I own. But if I had to own one pair of sunglasses for the rest of my life it would be a pair Clubmasters from Ray Ban. Timeless design.

Just make sure you start with a sunglass frame (not eyeglass frame) and you can put any lens in them. I recommend Transitions XTRActive or Transitions DriveWear if you can afford it.
I just want sunglasses for driving when I get the sun in my eyes or for work..
Make sure you get full-UV protection AND polarised. They really cut down on eye strain. I've had non-polarised and polarised.
I'd never go back to non-polarised!
They even work great on overcast days when there's UV coming thru the clouds without much visible sun.
Try Transitions DriveWear.. Hands down the best driving sunglass lens and they work in every driving condition, from green yellow, amber to dark red-brown depending on conditions, and they activate behind the windshield even when UV rays are blocked.

Sadly, the otherwise great stigma of Aviators gets completely ruined here in Romania, as I sometimes feel like they're worn only by noisy pricks, and they always distinguish themselves with their neon colored lenses... it makes me sick.
My favorites are the Folding, Leather, Wood or New Wayfarers from Ray-Ban with black, dark brown, dark green or dark grey lenses. I also like the Clubmasters.
