Why is every Reid-centric episode is just our boy going through it?? 😭😭😭
A couple of years ago, there actually was an artist who made a frozen sculpture out of blood. It was her own blood though, collected over years.
Reid episodes are always sad, he deserves so many good things and i love how everyone is so protected of him, since he is like a baby of the group, i love how they take care of him and they show it with this episodes too. Btw i dont remember this episode i dont remember the conditions of this killer so i am not gonna talk about that but as artist, the concept of using blood might be interesting, though you dont need to hurt or kill anyone to do that, there are other ways to do it, though, once again i dont know etc the conditions of this killer so whatever.
Reid is lucky to have Penelope and JJ and everyone else. It kills me too brother..
Fun fact this and the next episode were the very first episodes that got me hooked to this show. I was on vacay with some friends and they were watching as I was making food.
It feels weird to say that I actually liked some of his pieces and that he shouldn't have gotten hung up on that specific gallery for acceptance. One wonders why he felt the need to kill to acquire the blood: there were so many other avenues that don't involve life imprisonment.
What i liked about this episode is the ending even though Reid lost his girlfriend and he felt like he's alone, He's never alone this season he's got Rossi, Blake, Garcia, Hotch, Morgan, and JJ!
"Dude, just go buy paint!" Made me laugh so hard, despite the horror. 😂
I love that Morgan was able to get Reid engaged in the case. It gave his mind something else to focus on. So sweet that JJ, Garcia, and Morgan helped Reid clean up his apartment. Often when someone experiences a loss, friends want to help but don't know what to do. It was a great scene, no dialogue needed except the final quote.

I may not have an a popular opinion of this episode. When I saw the promo for this episode. It seemed like such a fascinating idea, an artist who uses human blood as paint to paint his pictures. But getting the full episode on my binge a Season 8. I have to admit aside from the Reid aftermath part and pulling himself together. The Unsub didn't really do much for me. I feel like there's just something missing with this episode. I feels too short like it just comes and goes. I don't understand why the Unsub has to paint pictures with human blood. There's no real motive for it. All I got from him he drains his victims of his blood to paint and the reason for the blood is he's a haemophiliac. I'm still left not clear about what the message he's trying to send through the blood paintings. Hey world, if you didn't know I'm a haemophiliac? Even if you wanted argue wanting attention from others, I'm not really feeling it. To me, he's janitor at an art gallery, not an accountant or office worker and he has a fair amount of people that is aware of his presence. There's pass unsubs that the alone in this factor were more apparent , I'm really getting that same vibe with him. I'll say the Unsub wasn't as boring as the ones in Zoe Reprise or Hopeless. Reid conflict certainly helps with some investment in the episode but the unsub was kind of meh to me. Just my opinion.
