All I can say is that it is good to be a Dodger fan in the Guggenheim era.
You never said a lie
This move came out of left field. I'd be really surprised if they traded Lux and gave the 2B job to Kim. This year he is the utility IF. next year Taylor and Rojas are gone so he's here to replace these two guys
Agreed!
CT3 is forsure gone, lux is still a possibility but I personally think he’s not traded
yep that makes sense. Hopefully they bring back kike this season though.
This year gives Kim breathing room where he can learn and not be pressured to play at a all star level, then next year he can have a bigger role when he takes over Taylor's role with a year under his belt
I seriously don't understand all the Lux hate. He is still young, just heading into his age 27 season, and is coming off a series of injuries that definitely stunted his progression. He has more than proven his ability to hit major league pitching, with some pop, in his single full, healthy season and the 2nd half of this last season, when he was finally healthy after almost 2 years of trying to get back. If the Dodgers see no use for him and decide to move him, I'm sure there will be plenty of interest from other teams. Personally, if he is going to be traded, I hope he will bring back a nice bullpen piece. Either way, I like our chances in 2025. #BigBlueWreckingCrew 💙
It’s unfortunate, but fans are just fortunate to have high expectations and expect a lot from the players.
I'm intrigued by this signing, but also wonder if it will impede moving Mookie to 2B at some point.
I don't think so, Kim plays SS, 2B (a little 3B) and OF (mainly the corners) so between him, Tommy and Rojas there's enough space to move Mookie
MLB reported Kim received 3 other higher $ offers and signed with our Dodgers because he’s been a Dodgers fan growing up and Roberts told media when we played in SK the scouts liked him
Maybe Helsley could be the next acquisition with Lux and other players going to STL?
I’m not a huge Lux guy but I wouldn’t give anything more than Lux for a RP. Having said that STL will want more than Lux so I would not make that trade
Not sure how to feel about this move. Like Jeff, I was happy with Lux's defense and had faith that with another year removed from knee surgery his offense would be more consistent. After all, he was great the 2nd half of this year. Is Kim really going to be that much better? I have my doubts.
Jung Ho Lee tore his ACL very early in the season last year.
I CALLED THIS!!!
U have to do it publicly or it does not count
Creating more roster depth with the possibility of using him as an up down 26th man makes this deal stupid good for an organization like the Dodgers
The team has so much depth. The only area I'm concerned about is 3B. It will be interesting to see what they do in 2026.
I saw a quick notification earlier we got him and got busy after. All day I’ve been thinking we got Ha Seong Kim from the Padres
LMAO what a let down. Sorry bruh
They have to trade or DFA someone cuz they are at 41 on the 40 with this signing, I believe.
Snack o el que sea ese no es problema
They DFA’d Diego Cartaya
didnt need 4 catchers on the 40 man roster. austin barnes is gone next season, but with rushing coming up it still wouldnt make sense to keep 4 catchers on the roster.
If we get Sasaki, I don’t think people realize how much we’re going to run the entire league
theyre gonna HAVE TO make a multi 40 man roster trade for prospects or non 40 man prospects just to make room.
They DFad Cataya for kim..they should've traded Cataya to get something back.
@@john.s7559 From the sounds of it, they can make a trade if he gets claimed, or if he doesn't get claimed, he'll go right back into the minors. At least that's what their latest article they wrote had said.
just a heads up, pronounced as "Heh" Sung Kim. "Meh" but with the "h" sound in the beginning
Yeah I got to make sure I don’t get stuck saying it wrong lol.
Tomatoes Tomátóz
@@bench-clearingbrawl7737 🙄
Oh, wow! They designated Cartaya for assignment. His back problems must be bad for them to risk losing their former #1 prospect. 😮
@Dodger Blue I’ve missed the last couple streams, when is the next one so I can plan in advance?
Sunday nights around 8, Tuesdays at 7 and Thursdays around 9 (roughly)
And then lives whenever a move happens
@@jeffspiegel thank you so much! I’m screenshotting this lol. Will try to make the next one!
@@jeffspiegel oh and then also I was wondering, is Austin Reaves your favorite player on the Lakers? (The shoutouts for my pfp make my day lol, I made it myself.)
Kim Do Yeong will be the next KBO star. Hye Seong Kim will be Ha Seong Kim at his best most likely unless he improves and adapts. Great defense though
Dodgers have the most advanced hitting training technology in baseball. Enough said.
Justin Turner
Max Muncy
Chris Taylor
J.D. Martinez
Jason Heyward
Revitalized their offensive skills with the Dodgers.
Imagine what they’re going to do to this Kim dude 💪🏽🔥
Does this reduce their international signing pool? So no Sasaki?
No it doesn’t since he’s an international free agent
Let's go Dodgers!!! Good pick up. Now Mookie can go to 2nd instead of SS
Kim is a second basement. Kim is going to second
Lux and a lot more. For Mason Miller
I think CT3 and Lux are gone. Just my opinion.
Good lux and ct3 are offensive black holes
I hope this HSK has learned from the others that can over. Who is the most successful to come over from the KBO. I can only think of Hyun Jin Ryu.
Why the fk is Austin Barnes still on the roster. Bring up Dalton
lol I’ve been saying this for a couple years. He is there for Kershaw. I love Kershaw but it’s time to let AB go
What happened to max , dodgers sign tanner Scott or trade bullpen pitching, anyone have updated roki news
Are they going all in on mook for the next couple years in RF?
so this is not the padres ha song kim right?
No sir
We can live without Lux and hate to say it but CT3 too but we need Kiktober
Do the freaking Dodgers have a 70 man roster? 😜
Joq Peterson was a has been 3 years ago!

In the context of the conversation, I think he accidentally let the cat out of the bag. He’s not as Rico Suave as Andrew Friedman is yet….
Gavin Lux has never won a gold glove at second base and probably won’t for the next few years, if ever.. why would you NOT have this guy start at second base? I don’t know, compare their stats..
Lux and maybe a Bobby Miller type to the Mariners for Luis Castillo? And then sign Roki Sasaki as the cherry on the cake?
I guess he can also develop in the minors for part of the year if necessary
Have you seen him play? He's probably better than Max, Betts, Lux on defense
Dodgers will probably give Lux another shot until the All-Star break or trade deadline and then decide his fate.
Lux, CT3, Outman, Barnes, Grove, Miller and Knack are all trade bait.
McDonald’s is not taking none of those guys
some one is getting traded in few days. most likely lux and red headed step child. Just saying
Dude 😂
He was offered 28mil from the Angels and turned them down for Dodgers. Don’t think he’s not legit bc he’s getting paid less
I was actually hoping this guy was on their radar instead of giving the padres Kim a big contract but no one was talking about it
Diego Cartaya DFAd
Lux haters unite
🗣Woo woo 👏🏼
No still champs?
Gavin Lux has no value. What team would be silly enough to trade for him?
Look at his numbers after all star break. Coming off an injury it was a slow start. Or look at his numbers for his one full season.
In September those numbers went back down 😭😭💀
Bye Bye Kiki.
Kiké is the reason for the 2020 and 2024 World Series championship.
