I only have 2 Peterson pipes, loved looking at your collection. Couldn't agree with you more when you werr talking about the best pipe out there. I'd already had in my mind that the best one out there is the pipe that you enjoy. I have my favorites that I rotate on a daily basis. Using 7 pipes I run a cleaner through them, then put it up. Then every Monday I clean them with Everclear.
Very nice collection! I agree completely on that philosophy. The pipe that you can use and truly enjoy is definitely the best pipe. Sublime observation Sir. Cheers!
Enjoyed your video. I got my first Peterson for Christmas 2023. I opted for a P-Lip. Smoking it right now as I type, loaded with Early Morning Pipe (a beautiful blend). What I've learned about the P-Lip is that it does exactly what it is supposed to - help prevent tongue bite. However, I tend to clench my pipes without holding them in my hand much of the time. I've found that this isn't the best for a P-Lip pipe as it rotates the draft hole in the bit up toward the roof of the mouth, so that now, you get "roof-bite" :D. That's something folks might want to consider. For someone who doesn't clench, they might really like and benefit from the P-Lip. I have to be mindful to hold my P-Lip pipe in my hand more and not clench as much. I will also say, I have a pretty keen palette and taste more subtle things and taste more intensely than most my friends. I can really parse out a tobacco. Peterson's Deluxe System provides the most flavorful smoke I've ever had. It does what it says it does if you have proper pipe technique. But, my first pipe in my collection tends to be the one I gravitate to the most, a Nording Bent Apple or Egg shape. Something about the draw in that pipe and the way the bit clenches comfortably, combined with the light weight of the pipe is just a magical, smooth experience every time for me. I'd like to get another Peterson in Fishtail to compare one day.
I bought one of the Peterson Sherlock Holmes pipes not knowing anything about P-lips. I lit up and after smoking the bowl set it to rest. The next day I had blisters in the roof of my mouth that didn't go away for a week. I just wasn't and experience P-lip smoker. So I found a place on line that will replace that stem with a non-P-lip stem. Their business is heavily in demand for what they do. My pipe is sitting in their workshop waiting in line for action. They let me know they had it and that as soon as they finished it they would inform me. I hope it is a good stem replacement because I like that pipe. Thanks for the post. I am new here.
Work on sipping your pipe , slowing down and relaxing as you smoke . Tungbite in a standard Langton tip is mostly caused from drawing too hard and fast on the pipe . ( I do it from time to time myself) even a fishtail will bight if you don’t work out a mellow rhythm and draw . Hope this helps some ✝🪗🍺☦
I have four Peterson's, and I love them all. Two of them are a P-lip. The P-lip is my favorite. I have a basket pipe that has a P-lip as well. I like the fish tails as well, but the p-lips are my favorite. There is something about the design that makes it so cozy to clench. I have a few Savinelli's I really enjoy too. One of my best pipes is a $35 bent Savinelli basket, unfinished, pipes.....so smooth...just excellent.
Nice collection of Peterson’s. A 314 was the very first pipe I bought back in 1984 and still smoke it today. A few more Pete’s added since then. I’ve always been happy with them. The P lip I find good with hotter burning Virginia’s. A slower cadence improves the P lip I think. Nice video.👍
Nice video! Glad you are making videos! I guess you got used to the P-lip. "Brothers of the Smoke Ring" - that is pretty cool@ I will tell you about my biggest mistake/regret in my pipe smoking life. My first wife did not like smoking of any kind. I knew I could not smoke and thought I needed to get rid of my pipes. I did not have any expensive pipes. However I did have a sm. Peterson. It was a P-lip and it had a really sm. bowl. Out it went. It is the provenance that counts in the story. It had been my g gandfather's. He died in 1039. So the pipe wss at least from the '30s if not older. He was first generation Irish - American. At the time of his death he was a sitting US Congressman. Yes I regret that. Happy puffing!
That's an awesome journey you took us on through the rabbit hole of Peterson pipes. I can't wait to visit them in Dublin next week and start a journey of my own!
Nice Peterson Pipes here! I've got a Peterson Christmas 2023 pipe for Christmas and it's a really great pipe! I also have a 307 Standard System..it smokes like a freight train! 🍂🔥💨🤟🏻 Happy new year and best wishes from Germany, Markus 🙋🏼♂️
Thanks for sharing my friend. I don't know Peterson pipes, so I don't know them. I do have Savinelli and Falcon pipes and a couple of other pipes. Happy new year my friend.
As a pipe enthusiast, I'm deeply drawn to the charm of pipes. A pipe is not just a smoking tool; it's a symbol of art and culture. Whether it's the exquisite hand-carved designs or the carefully chosen materials, each pipe has its own unique character and story. Smoking a pipe is a slow, reflective experience that allows for relaxation. When paired with the "Hermit Crab" pipe filter, it can filter out impurities while preserving the pure flavor of the tobacco, making each puff smoother and more enjoyable. For both newcomers and seasoned smokers, exploring the world of pipes, especially with the "Hermit Crab" filter, is a journey worth taking.
I like Peterson Pipes also, especially the standard system series. But my favorite pipe of choice is a Stanwell, pre-2008, before they moved the factory to Italy. Great smoking pipes and beautiful shapes and craftmanship.
Lee Van Cleef used a Peterson in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly which technically isn’t period correct… Peterson was started in 1879…. After the Civil war was done here. In the movie , the Civil war was still being fought .
Only problem I've ever had with Peterson is their stems on their Billiards. They are easily broken where they insert when taking them apart for cleaning. These pipes are too expensive to have an issue like that. Been a smoker for 35 years and the only stem breaks I've ever had were Petersons.
I tried my first Petersons pipe but I didn’t realize that it didn’t have a filter and I was getting bits and pieces of tobacco in my mouth. I’m new to smoking pipes, is that common for non filter pipes?

@@samuelstambaugh5181 Thank you. I don't plan on buying another but if one ever shows up again I will take that advice to heart.

I agree with you one hundred percent my friend. The best pipe is your favorite one. In my case, I like Patterson the most. all the best
Beautiful collection Brother 🤘🏼
beautiful collection
You definitely can't go wrong with a Peterson. I have several myself. Thank you for sharing
Nice collection. I have a Peterson that belonged to my grandpa which I use and love, but as a Missouri boy I have a lot of love for my corn cob pipes.
Nothing ring with a Cobb!
Nice pipes, I have two Peterson pipes and plan on getting more.
Thanks for sharing my friend. I don't know Peterson pipes, so I don't know them. I do have Savinelli and Falcon pipes and a couple of other pipes. Happy new year my friend.
I like that thought about a pipe being a man's jewelry. A classy accessory. I have several Peterson pipes on my wish list.
Great discussion! Thanks for sharing.
Excellent video!
You have an addiction, to which I too have! Love my pipes.

Yes..and my favourite Stanwell shape is the 11. A masterpiece of a pipe !
Stanwell make good pipes too,i like them.😊
I personally love Petersons. I like the way the stem feels, the quality and just the look. Savinelli's I like their shapes but I hate their stems
Nice set of Petes there.
Lee Van Cleef used a Peterson in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly which technically isn’t period correct… Peterson was started in 1879…. After the Civil war was done here. In the movie , the Civil war was still being fought .
It was acually a WDC Weliington pipe not a Peterson.
More ytpc awesomeness! 😊😊
Hey brother just found you channel and gave you a sub. Really enjoyed your videos.

What revolver is that in the thumbnail? Great pipe in the thumbnail too.
It’s a .38colt long Belgian Bulldog , pipe is a Peterson Sherlock Holmes Handsome
@@samuelstambaugh5181 I would love to see a video on that revolver!
It belongs to a friend , and it would most likely be a video of me blowing up my hand !🫣@@gew1898
@@samuelstambaugh5181 You must have a very interesting friend.
Yes sir. Get down with the sickness.
Like the video? What’s the exact bent billiard model and tip you ordered?
Handsome with a p lip
I have a Savinelli so my next pipe is going to be a Peterson. Currently saving my nickels and dimes.
The Peterson that represented Lee Van Cleef pipe. What Peterson model is it?
XL315 system standard heritage P lip
I concur
LOW audio. brands are subjective . liked your vid thanks.
Nice Petes
I tried my first Petersons pipe but I didn’t realize that it didn’t have a filter and I was getting bits and pieces of tobacco in my mouth. I’m new to smoking pipes, is that common for non filter pipes?
Yes , not super common but from time to time !
A great brand but it's a shadow of what it once was.
Isant everything now days
Вот это кулаки! Вы ими деревья валите?😂😂😂
