This tutorial is very helpful for my school art assignment. I really suck at drawing but i still took art class to give it a try. Everyone told me my jellyfish drawing was really beautiful and it boosted my confidence and i got a really high score too. The shading method in this video definitely made my drawing 10x better
@@Rblox.Movies it took me around three days to finish it because i was rlly busy with other things. I cant really say its that easy but all it needed are a lot of shadows readjusting and concentration. I hope your competition went well and if not theres always another time. Im sorry for replying so late as well
Hi everyone! Here's my drawing of a Jellyfish! I really hope this video is helpful. It turned out to be a really fun type of drawing to work on and I'd definitely recommend trying it out if you get a chance. Let me know what you think. And also let me know if you have any suggestions for future drawing videos. :) Thank you so much again for the amazing support! Hope you're all having an awesome day. -Chris
LethalChris Drawing amazing drawing! I am drawing this tomorrow could you do a how to draw video of old clock I think that would be a amazing drawing with your style
Thank you sooooo much for this. I always get so confused when it comes to the tentacles. Theyre so frilly and complex, i thought i had to figure out exactly where all the lines and sutures went and how they played into eachother. Now i see how much i was overthinking it instead of... going with the flow.. haha. Thank you so much, youre a very talented artist and its just amazing that youre taking the time to teach everyone these techniques. Thank you again, fr
this is amazing. Watching your process has been really helpful to watch regarding shading. Particularly with the three legs in the centre. Its transferable to a lot of other things like clothing and branches. Thanks!
I haven't even watched the video yet and I want to say, thank you! Great suggestion from whoever said sea animals. Looking forward to watching this video and I totally love your videos! One request I would have is if you could include a brief amount of realtime drawing because I'm always fascinated and often not able to replicate certain textures which makes me think that seeing you do it real time might be beneficial. You're so talented!
Hi Shiloh! Thank you so much for the support. This is great feedback and I really appreciate it. I'll be sure to consider it for future videos. :) Thanks so much again. Hope you're having a lovely day.
Yess thank you so much !! I had an idea I wanted ti draw out but I didn't know how to draw a beautiful jelly fish using a pencil and such, can't wait to get started !!
Wow!! That's incredible. It looks so hyper-realistic, Subscribed! I'm studying Architecture and there's not much free style drawing involved and I'm more arty than being restricted to straight lines. So I've been getting back into drawing again and I stumbled across this and I thought this was so inspiring!!
You're a shading god! I never get tired of your works! I personally love the smoke and feathered wings tutorial you made! I was wondering if you could do an anime body anatomy thingy? Like how do you draw anime bodies? 😍
This looks really cool!! I have a fascination with sea creatures and this will really help!! Your drawings are always amazing and this one is incredible!! Thank you for sharing your artwork!!
You are so talented! I would like to thank you for your Tutorials. Among others you where the reason I started my own youtube Drawing channel Its not verry succesfull but thats oke, I fell in love with drawing and I’m gratefull for that alone!
Thanks so much for the support and the suggestions, Gabrielle. :) I'll hopefully try to work on some technique videos this year. That's an awesome drawing idea, too!
Darlin'est Chris ~ as you know, I've been a fan for quite some time. I'm especially fond of your pencil drawing tutorials, as this is my favorite medium. I wanted to take a moment to share a revelation with you: when I first started watching, I wasn't particularly thrilled with the "speed drawing" aspect. I wanted to see you work in "real time" so as to facilitate my own "beginner's eye". Now, though, after my own (ongoing) evolution, I must tell you that I'm very happy that you don't do these in real time. BECAUSE, I think it would bore me AND because now I prefer to HEAR your instruction whilst I watch. Sometimes I re-watch several times. Other times, just once and then on to my pencils. Isn't it wonderful how, even when we don't realize it, we are actually progressing? You, fine Sir, are a MASTER artist and teacher. I hope you will continue to avail us with your splendid work/tutelage. You make an enormous difference in my world. Thank you, again, for your heart.
Have you ever drawn an elephant, Chris? I'd love to see you do a tutorial on one sometime! (Or possibly a rhinoceros or hippopotamus? Anything like that. :D )
@@LethalChris1 PLEASE HELP How can I draw as well as you from memory. I tried tondraw a jellyfish without looking at any images bit what I came up with doesn't compare to this. It's very discouraging and depressing. Thanks for sharing and really hope to hear from you.
huh... the jellyfish turned out really nice, good work! I was surprised you chose this kind of jellyfish, for me they always are just the " photo jellyfish ". All the ones I ever saw irl are more bulky and their tentacles look almost like cauliflower, so different from your drawing.
Hi Chris, Just wondered what you do with your finished artworks, would love to know how you store them and present them, I thoroughly enjoy your tutorials, always amazing, Thanks !!!
What a great drawing! Love the shading and the finished results are wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing, I will be trying this out! Quick question though, how long did this take you? These time lapse videos are so deceiving! :D
I love the jellyfish! I don't know how you get such dark areas, I would love to see that slowed down at some point - I'm trying with an Alvin Draftmatic HB .7mm and my darkest lines/shading still look gray to me, but your darkest areas look black. Would love a more 'technique' focused video so I can see what I'm doing wrong, I think it's me and not my equipment! :)
I have the same issue, the darks aren't dark enough ever for me! I might try to get a 10b pencil. The darkest I have is an 8, let me know if you find one that works!
I'm also going the samething, but with Koi fish. I'm making a piece for the youtube channel Rachel & Jun (jvlogger). I'm doing exactly the same method referencing different different Koi positions and then putting them together to have their scale designs make a pattern. That jelly fish turned out really nice.
it so inspiring to watch you work Chris could listen to your voice all day long and I was wondering you could do a mythical Underwater creather perhaps a mermaid just as an idea hope you having great day 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi Chris . I love your work so much you are awesome . I used it to help me draw a jellyfish for a zine we are making that gets distributed to the homeless community who have been temporarily housed in hostels during the coronavirus pandemic . would it be ok to link to your youtube video ? I know that it would be totally absorbing for people and make them temporarily forget the scariness of the situation xxx best wishes Ali x

If you think about it drawing us just making curved and strait lines.... Your really good at making lines.
And I would love to see you draw a big old creepy Victorian house with a wraparound porch and wrought iron embellishments - that would be amazing!
