What a wonderful craft room! I love the center storage and high table. I’m glad you are happy with your new home with a shorter commute. More time for crafting.😊 You have fun projects that you are working on and future joys. Happy Stitching! - Valerie
I’m so excited for you finding a home you love. I enjoyed seeing all your beautiful projects. The light house album is such a cute idea! Your craft room looks so functional and I’m green with envy. 🤣 It was so good to see you. Take care.
What a cool project with the lighthouses!! I especially appreciate it as a fellow Michigander😍 The fabric for finishing Autumn Rules is PERFECT! Thank you for the craft room tour. I love the idea of the tool bench turned to cutting table! 💚Michele
Thank you Michele! So glad you could stop by and see what I've been working on. I am loving that tool bench (which is good because I'm pretty sure it's not going anywhere, LOL) ~Katrina
Congrats on the move! It's so much work moving, as you said. Here's hoping the other house sells quickly! We've finally hit the spot where I can start moving back into my rooms after the paint and carpet remodel. Love your stitching! Love the Christmas ornaments! 💜💜💜
Hooray!! A WIP parade. Congratulations on the new house! I'm glad I didn't know you were moving because I would have been totally stressed out about it. lol We don't have internet at our house. If we can't do it on our phones, then we just can't do it. Any time I tell someone that we don't have it, they look at me like I have two heads. Everything is looking good. Love the Give Thanks WIP. That one should go on your short list to get finished. The new craft room looks great. You'll enjoy it.
Thanks Taryn ... yeah, my husband would not understand how you can live that way, LOL. I was a little taken aback when he said the new house had to have a fiber connection because he wasn't going backwards. I was like "high speed wireless isn't good enough?" and he said NO ... so I'm really glad we found something we could both be happy with.
Thanks for stopping by ... I love the Grand Haven area. Haven't been there in a few years, I think I should plan a camping trip over that way. I always love seeing the dancing fountain!
Your other place sounds perfect for us. We want a barn. That's one of the things we intend to add if it doesn't come with whatever new property we finally buy. Barn/detached garage. Same difference, right? I love Irony is the opposite of wrinkly. But also, I dislike laundry and have considered becoming a nudist just to avoid doing it. That lasted about 12 seconds. I dislike being nude. I love threadworx!!!! Oh, I started Sumatran Lace recently. Love the craft room!!! ~J
I really wish the old place would hurry up and sell so we can move forward with our plans. Your comments always make me chuckle ... Yeah, i don't think I'd like to become a nudist either (it would also be quite cold here in MI, LOL) Ohhhhh ... now I want to start Sumatran Lace even more so we'll have a WIP in common!
Hi Katrina! So glad to see you and hear about your move. I know you are glad for a shorter commute! I love all your lighthouses! Every time I see a picture of a lighthouse or a figurine I think about your cross stitch project of the lighthouses! Thank you for sharing your craft room, such a nice space to have your things in and spend time doing projects! Take care friend.🍁
I am Bay City but work in Saginaw, and would love to be part of a stitchy meetup. When I heard you mention Saginaw, I was Wait, what!?! I was at A Stitch ‘n time yesterday! We stitch similar things. Love your video!
Hi Connie! From what I understand, that was the first meet-up, but they are planning on having it every 3rd Saturday of the month. Maybe we'll meet sometime at one of them. It's an hour drive for me, but I am hoping to go again, but I know I can't go every month. I love A Stitch 'n Time, but it can also be a bit overwhelming ... so much stitchy goodness in there.
Congrats on your move, Katrina! Glad to see you again and hear about what you’ve been up to the past few months. You’ve been busy! Loved the craft room tour at the end, you seem very good at organizing! I struggle with figuring out organization that works for me so it helps me to see what others are doing. Thanks for the update and WIP parade and I’ll look for your next update in a month or two! -Leah
Thanks Leah Noel! I actually enjoy organizing stuff. Maybe that's what I should have pursued as a career, LOL I am not very creative sometimes though, so I am with you, it helps to see what others are doing, even if I take those ideas and modify them to fit my space. I really am hoping to get back to an every other month recording schedule 🤞🤞
So great to see you again Katrina and getting an update on your WIPs. So glad you are happy with the new house and all unpacked. It is always a pain in the neck to get unpacked and figure out where everything goes or goes out the door! 😂 I love your new craft room and I have to ask where you got that cool tool box with the extension counter? It looks like something I could definitely use! Happy stitching my friend. 😁🪡🪡
Hi Jacque, so glad you could stop by and see what I've been up to! I don't mind the unpacking/organizing part (the packing part stinks ...) and was really glad I had plenty of BTO so I was able to take almost a full 2 weeks off to putter around and get things settled. I'm loving my new room also ... the tool box came from Home Depot. Home Depot and Lowe's both have different variations of them (Menards has a couple, but none I seriously looked at). Home Depot seemed to be the only place that had the version with the drop-leaf top, and the drop-leaf only seems to be available in that size (which is good, I might have considered getting one size bigger and I'd have been in trouble, one size bigger would not have fit in that room). If you ever do decide to purchase, beware -- it's HEAVY (I think it weighs almost 300lbs). I originally was going to purchase it and have it delivered to the new house, but about a week before closing I noticed it was on sale, so I ended up purchasing it, and it was delivered to the old house and we had to move it. Moving and then maneuvering it into that room -- well let's just say I probably owe my husband, son and FIL a nice steak dinner or something, LOL Looking forward to your next update! 🙂
Hi Katrina! I can't believe I somehow missed you walking into Panera but so glad you came! Love the Autumn piece and your finishing idea sounds great. I know moving is a hassle but sounds like you guys found an awesome location. Love your craft room organization, especially the tool box. I like my house but I don't have an extra bedroom for stitchy stuff, but luckily I have a lot of closet space, and no man to share it with. Lol. See you next meet up!
Katrina!!! It’s been way too long since I’ve watched your videos and I apologize for that. I’m so glad you finally got to move. I could not imagine that much commuting. I’m about 5 minutes from my school. Loved seeing your WIPs. I haven’t worked on full coverage since the HAED debacle regarding the new colors. It’s made me scared of them. Which is pathetic. This is the day is so beautiful! I love those colors ❤ Your scrapbook idea is so cool! How do you mount the stitching? I really like Autumn Rules! Need to look it up. With not having watched Flosstube in years, I have missed so many popular nice designs. Oh my gosh, Winter Wienerland is so cute!!! And Starbarks. So cleaver. Also love that Winter Quaker. I don’t own any Primrose Cottage but need to! I don’t have that 2023 Shannon Christine but I do have the 2024 one that I haven’t started yet. Let me know when you start the 2023 one and maybe we can SAL it together? Let me know. No pressure. You know I have a billion projects. I love the speckling on the shawl you’re making! Who is the dyer? It’s so consistent! What is the 25 in 25? Because this sounds like something I need to do If you don’t mind my asking, how much was your cart? I need to replace my craft table and I love the look and design of your cart. Thanks for sharing a tour of your craft room :)
Hi Kate! I really want to work on my full coverage/HAEDs, but feel like I really need to get some of these smaller pieces out of the way (esp. the lighthouses) so they aren't hanging over my head! I am using plain old ordinary double-sided tape to mount the stitching into the scrapbook ... I'm praying it will hold. I iron a piece of Pellon "stabilizer" to each one before I tape it in there. I loved stitching the Autumn Rules piece and am really hoping to fully finish it this weekend and get it hung on the wall. Yesterday I was watching someone and they showed a Christmas Rules piece by Primrose Cottage ... I might have to get that one .... later. I do like their designs. 🙂 ohhhhh ... that would be fun to do a SAL with the Shannon Christine pieces. I'll keep that in mind! I will have to look up the dyer on the yarn, I'll try to do that when I get home from work. 25 in 25: this year I put together a 24 in 24 list ... a list of 24 books, many that had been languishing on my TBR for way too many years, that I wanted to be sure to get read this year. I need to get my rear in gear, I still have 10 on there to get read. I'm thinking I'll do it again next year, although I don't know how many years I can realistically keep up-ing that number, LOL This is the workbench I bought (www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Tool-Storage-46-in-W-Standard-Duty-Gloss-White-Mobile-Workbench-Cabinet-with-Solid-Top-Full-Length-Extension-Table-HOTC4609BJ5M/317060709) -- not cheap, BUT it was cheaper than buying base cabinets and countertop -- I also got it on sale, about $100 less than that. It is VERY heavy, but I LOVE it!! So glad you could stop by for a visit ... as always, eagerly awaiting your next video!!

@@KatesCraftingCorner yes … it is super heavy. I can’t imagine how many brawny guys you’d have to have to heft that up stairs, and yeah, I’d be worried about the floor being strong enough to hold it.
