SonicProjects OP-X PRO-3 blue and dark skin re-skinning packages demo and installation guide. The packages can be downloaded on the demo version site and for licensees also in the login area.
NOTE: The Mac VST3 package on the demo version site onyl works for the demo version.
Full version equivalent for the full version in the login area.
The Windows and Mac AU packages however apply to both demo version and licensed full version.
The available alternative skins are:
"Blue":
This is the original OP-X blue used by OP-X since 2006.
Note that the original Oberheim OB-X wasn't blue but grey!
The special blue was invited by SonicProjects.
"Dark":
This is a dark grey-blue for people who don't like bright interfaces.
The plugin must be installed already to apply a new skin.
The skin installer only exchanges the graphics.
A later version of the plugin itself may include the skin color options directly in the GUI-switcher and the color default to blue then.
Background track:
Reload 001 session using the Reload 001 sounds which both can be downloaded on the "New Sounds" site linked at the top left of the OP-X PRO-3 product site.

Are there plans to bring the keyboard back to the GUI?
I just bought the SoundForce SFC-OB controller, never even heard of this plugin till I bought this... still trying to get it up and running with SonicProjects OP-X Pro-II, not as easy for me as I would have hoped for!! Man it would be cool if you guys made this plugin work like Arturia's OP-X V does with it, using an XML file for two way communication, it's super reflexive and very intuitive, but OP-X Pro-3 is ovbiously better in every way in terms of sound quality. Anyways, keep up the good work this Dark Skin is really classic, will update soon !

The OP-X Pro 3 has three options - Original (Tan) / Blue / Dark (Grey) - So that option is available to re-skin it. Not sure if you looked / knew that.
@@checkitout611 Not the point. In description under the video, developer claims hardware OB-X is grey and not blue. That's not true. Some OB-X models are grey, but some have light blue hues like RetroSound YT channel OB-X, for example. In any case, if developer was so concerned about preserving original OB-X color for his plugin, why did he make OP-X PRO 3 plugin mustard yellow color and not grey or blue right from the beginning? He only offered two additional skins after his customers complained and protested this new yellow look.
@@luisbovleck5173 Gotcha ..... have no angle on this and was just was pointing it out in case you were looking for the grey skin and didn't see it. My guess is his main concern all along was the actual sound / emulation which is flat out fantastic. Who knows about the yellow choice. I'm glad he gave some options after the fact. I personally like the blue.
We were referring to people claiming the correct OB-X color is blue - but it's grey, no matter which revision. If it appears blueish in some UA-cam videos then this comes from the cam. Go visit a synth museum or someone who owns a one to assure yourself about it. OP-X PRO-3 is much more than just an OB-X emulatiion so it can be any color. But if people adore blue this is fine of course and it was fullfilled with this free re-skinning package.

You better invest in normal skins, graphics and knobbs behaviour. The current ones are terrible.
