Unexplored is our brand-new series, aimed to inspire any angler to pick up the rods and head out on an adventure. Featuring anglers who have seldom set foot in the limelight, showing everyone what can be done when angling is still just a hobby, all be it a very dedicated one.
The adventure side of fishing is something we all fall in love with at an early age, the mystery element of it all is a fascinating prospect to the young mind, but as we get older, this element often drifts away. Wanting to rekindle this and relight the fire and passion for his angling, Ant Perry set about doing so by venturing further afield for his fishing. Targeting the intricate network of canals as well as the odd lake on the way through Belgium, Ant found just what he was looking for and over the last 7 years has found himself making regular trips across the channel.
Preferring to fish areas with little prior knowledge, we join Ant on a typical road trip through Belgium, as he shows us some of his favourite spots as well as somewhere he’d never fished before too. The excitement is there for all to see, and it’s obvious that although Ant has a full-time job and like many angling is his escape, this type of fishing is where he thrives!
Having got the taste for adventure again, Ant managed to replicate the feeling closer to home too, having secured a ticket for The Snaggy Pit. With both UK and European mainland fishing at his disposal that lights the fire for more, it’s no wonder he has never been more passionate about his fishing as he is right now!
