Got this years ago off Ebay, $7.99, you sure can't find it for that cheap anymore. This is one of the best STG games on the SNES/SFC, Konami had greatly improved over an early effort, like Gradius III.
Axelay is available on the Wii U Virtual Console. Unfortunately, the Wii U and 3DS eShop is scheduled to close down in March 2023. Our only hope is for Konami to bring Axelay to Nintendo Switch Online service.

事実上の本番かつ最終周回 (EASYから数えて4周目) であるHard 2周目6面を、
2機喪失 (1:11:28からの凡ミスが無ければ1機) だけで切り抜けるとは素晴らしい。
自分も1992年の発売日から本作をプレイしてますが、1:10:10からの6面後半は
理論上は1被弾で突破可能であるものの、実際にはこの1～2機喪失に抑える
プレイが現実的ですよね・・・。
