For me, my personal tip is to rush all 5 tech tiers to get Straddle Carriers ASAP. Then select sustain life then rush infirmary. With infirmary, it will treat all gravely ill so you can ignore carehouse and prosthetic laws. Finally get overcrowding so you basically just need the infirmary running to handle everything. Then rush house with house redesign and just dedicate a day to gather enough resources to renovate the entire settlement. Be Careful to mind the temperature when doing the renovation to avoid frostbite. Trading steel for food is a waste of steel. Plan your cookhouse and use the steel to trade upgrades with Hot Spring, which will give you food anyway. Always ask for favours. There's no penalty to keeping favours low. Get food from hot spring, wood from Shipwreck and workers from Children's mine. Get 3 scouts. Then send them out to get all the survivors ASAP. You will need them for outpost building and Helping hands. I've tried 2 scouts before but 3 is much more efficient. You don't need the 100% boost. When you get the chance, research steam lorry. Once researched, dedicate a day to dig out all the steam cores with wooden supports. It will gets you 1 steam core per 2 hour. You will need approx 15 to 16 cores to fully upgrade all settlements.
These are actually amazing tips, thanks for the comment. I usually do overcrowding and infirmiry but I think getting them sorted as soon as possible is going to be be really useful. I never really do houses, I'm wondering if bunkhouses with sufficient heating is good enough as the temp doesnt really go that low (in normal anyway). I didn't know there wasn't a penaly for asking for favours, so Ill definitley be doing that on my next playthrough. I agree having all the survivors back is invaluble but not sure how much better it is to get them back quicker. I would rather have the time to reserachother things maybe? I have been gathering steam cores at the start of the game (until I have about 5 or 6) but unlocking the lorries and dedicating a day is much better, ill try that too! Thanks again!
Funnily enough I just got through this scenario (on normal) with only two bunkhouses that were out of the heatzone ._. (I personally never had the time to spare the steel.) You might not need to focus on houses at all. I never had a single case of frostbite Also, savescum to get the resources from Tesla Town. I love this game but a diceroll deciding whether or not my crew dies is bs.
You do not need to send scouts earlier than morning of 2nd day. You need to get to down location right after you want to search frostland for food settlement. Thus sending scouts on day 1 is a waste of wood. Also 5 workers will significantly (for a start) helps you to gather wood. About food - you definitely playing not on extreme, otherwise you will have hunger much earlier than day 2. Thus tips are not bad for a beginners. but not for person who wants to beat FP on a challenge modes.
Thanks! I am planning to start a play through series on Monday. I want to either do a hard difficulty play though or a play through where I fully upgrade all the settlements!
@@Logistical I would love to see all 3 settlement upgraded and all 3 safe routes set up. I only ever manage to get 2 (omitting childrens mine). I just cant seem to have enough time to gather the mats for all upgrades.
Awesome, I’ll defo work on that for the new series and I’ll do a hard play through after most likely! I have managed to get close to having all three but just ran out of steel, I think it is possible though, just need to be very efficient!
@@Logistical I bet. Perhaps it requires spamming emergency shift and asking for workers from allied settlements as they die off. Cant wait to see your take on it. Same goes for hard difficulty. Love the quality of your content bro. You deserve more subs! Edit: typos
Yeah that may be a way to do it, I was going to attempt to max out the army upgrades and stock pile some steam cores at the start of the game. Then just focus on steel for the rest and use wooden supports every single day. After that, dismantle some buildings when we don’t need them. Thanks for the kind words, I’m having a lot of fun with the channel, appreciate you watching :)
Jakmas Games do i build sawmills when there are no crates left? Also how do I discover natural terrace? Is it random since I've never done anything special when my people discover it.
You can build sawmills before the crates run out. if you don’t have many workers, I would favour the sawmill over the crates, but in the end, you want to have all the wood collected from everywhere. As for the natural terrace, certain locations are unlocked during the course of the game, so it may be that it will just become available in time. Hope this helps!
You guys are awesome! We just hit 250 subs and on our way to 500! If you enjoyed the video, why not subscribe? It's free!

Buy rushing the tech tiers... how many engineers buildings did you make?
I know you posted this a year ago but I just have to let you know that this absolutely saved my ass on this scenario so thank you!
Haha amazing!! Glad it helped!! Nice one!!

I find it hilarious how we all put the Admin building on the right and establish a medical district on the left, right next to research XD
more efficient if you can move bodies over to reserach areas quicker......

Yeah, these are just beginners tips! Didn’t claim to be on extreme! You are right about not sending the scouts on the first day though!
I got a wood issue where I can't find any more woods after day 20...
Hmmm, I havent played in a while, but maybe you can trade with another outpost?
The only reliable way to get wood is through an outpost. Every other source is finite. Good luck
Just played it today!! I lost but I’ll give it a go on these tips! Thank you
Good luck!!
Solid tips. Would love to see your playthrough as well.

Jakmas thank you for the tips. Grettings from Brazil!
Happy to help! Glad you found the tips helpful! Hello from London, England!
Really good tips on time.
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed the tips! Hope this has helped you a little!
When the temperature drops below 20ºC do I continue taking supplies from for example wood crates?
When it drops below -20 start using the gathering huts to get the wood crates and other resources!

I don't know if you remember me but thanks.
You were in the live stream right!!? And no worries!
Love the tips but your mic is overpowering a lot dude. Consider sitting away just a little bit from the mic so it doesn't blow out.
Yeah, I think my audio has improved since this video but I’ll defo keep in mind for future videos! Thanks!

Spooky!
