Abhinava Dance Company’s mega production in Kannada “ VIJAYANAGARA VYJAYANTHI ” - Episode 1

The Vijayanagar Empire, which ruled South India from the 14th to the 16th century, was known for its cultural patronage and architectural splendor. The empire was a melting pot of various art forms, including dance, music, literature, and sculpture.
The production pays homage to this cultural legacy, presenting an exquisite portrayal of the empire's grandeur through the medium of dance.
This production features original content, music, creative visuals and choreography narrating the mythological and historical importance of the empire from the time it was built till it declined due to Bahamani Invasion.
The first episode features conversation between the mighty Maratha Chief Chathrapati Shivaji and the Priest at Virupaksha Temple showcasing the proclamation of the name “Vijayanagara” by Vyasarajaru who advises Harihara/ Hakka and his brother Bukka to establish the empire on the land found by them.
