HOW TO: Solar Spirit Lights

- Halloween Trump Card, Spirit Lights! Here is how to make them:
Get yourself a few glass jars... or just glasses they work as well. Then head over to the hardware store and pick up some solar powered garden lamps. They are CHEAP! They only cost about 1-2 bucks! Incredible!
If you have some halloween hair dye lying around, great! If not, go grab a $1.50 bottle and cover the inside of the with it.
When done attach the top of the garden lamp to the jar and you now have glowing spirit light which will be charged by the power of the sun.

it would be way cooler if you did it with glow in the dark paint so it would last all night, and it would have a cooler effect.
you could have switched out the normal led for a ultraviolet black light one then put some water mixed with highlighter fluid in it to give a brighter and unnatural looking glow
Turned out great! Thanks for the great idea!!
COOL! Definitely making some of these for music fests this summer!

Wouldn't the reflection work better if you used the reflector cone in the bottom of most solar yard lights?
Awesome!

Very cool idea. Thanks! Other than removing the solar panel/LED portion, what other "modifications" did you need to make to the light panel?

Nice idea! :D ima use it :D
Does anyone know if the hair color will eventually melt off the walls from all the heat if you expose this thing to the sun everyday? Anyone got any better ideas for what i can spraypaint the jars with?
These are so cute! ^3^
Haha awesome vid!
brilliant!
DUDE THIS STUFF IS AWESOME HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH IT
You should make a video on how to make a really good homemade bong.
Now this is my style..Thumbs WAY up from me sir!
Thats pretty cool, I think I,ll make one just for my rooms lamp
It,ll give my room a cool color scheme at night
lol i love the commentary
suggestion: since you are using Ball jars anyway, you can glue the light assembly to the lid rim rather than to the glass. You then screw it on when done. This allows you to open your jar later or open the light assembly if you ever want to.
So does the hair color last, or do we have to pull these apart and do them all over again in a couple of months?
where do u buy the material i dont have it
they can also be supersized christmas lights for december! save it for then after halloween!
