Hi from Azerbaijan, one of my favorite youtubers, I love watching your rust content even though I dont play rust it makes me escape from the daily stress. Thank you.
Close to my greatest challenge only 1500 hours but very old solo veteran of Rust. But a submarine, fishing, at sea, farm base, oil refinery, with turrets, and AA, and a mini on the roof, some loot bunkers under the sea and sorting, and with anti sub honeycombing all of it, and armoured pyramid shaped main just barely sticking out of the water. Expensive AF. So not done it yet fully.
Water catchers work fine, I did it my last wipe. Some tips: build them right before you log off so when you log in again you will have enough water to start farming, a water barrel inside the base can also be useful in the case someone destroys the catchers while trying to offline raid you so you can restart farming immediately. For a little farming base 3 catchers should be enough, i had 5 of them on my roof and that was overkilling, with 6 catchers you can run a pretty large farming base.

Just a recommendation but if you are going to use water catchers you'll probably need a minimum of 2 catchers per planter but 4 is better. You won't get a lot of water from them until you have a torrential downpour so it's a good idea to place them early so they either have time to fill or if you are lucky they can catch a storm.
I'm not sure about the water catchers idea on an ocean base with limited stability. If you want a decent number of planters it's going to be hard to get enough roof area when you also have to place solar panels. If it was me I'd go for planters on shelves at half height to almost double the number of planters per square and have a water purifier in the base which is filled with seawater by hand using a bucket.
i do farm bases all the time, now they have upgraded water catchers its a lot easier as long as you get some rain, and if you link them all together its a breeze.

Love Ocean bases on Modded servers. Makes collecting resources easier. Only problem is if a person is on Cargo, they can pass right passed the base, making it a target for the die hard PVPers

It'd be easier to put the water purifier in the ocean base and fill it up by hand with a bucket ratherthan run pipes from land. Just need to set it up so you can reach the input tank while standing on a floor at the right depth to fill the bucket and it's not that inefficient.

If your water catcher is higher than your storage and your sprinklers under that then you need no power gravity will play into it and it will rain in the base.

I'm assuming the shack was that baseowner's and his authorization from the shack was blocking you from placing the locks.
you know what i dont unserdtand is how rust is like an epock aftermath of a neuclear fallout and you cant make water with electrical capability to disolinate water where there is no drinkable water. they need to have a new element to the mineral chart and have the ability to forge copper or other elements needed fore more advance upgrades and cool epoch gears and gadgets gagets made from things youve found and gatherd and choped and picked etc.............

played on a 10x got bored had a compound a grid and a half away from coast. did a similar thing but because i was playing a 10x i just built some sort of a wall running to the coast and it had all the wires and pipes inside the wall was connected to the compound to the main tc

if you had foundation down on bottom of ocean 2x2 and not only 1x2 it was possible to upgrade your base to 2x2 even with one squar of pills
The lock didn’t go down because the hut outside it’s only way of not letting you out multiple locks down is by giving you that error so technically it thought you were trying to put an extra lock on the same door. I just made all of that up
