I have one of these that is not working properly. Power is always on, but none of the buttons work. I pulled the board and I could see the Y1 transistor at position QB1 got really hot and IC at position U2 looks cooked. Not sure if the IC or an equivalent is available to purchase. Any suggestions??
U2 is probably a microcontroller, can you see any lettering on it to identify it? QB1 switches the LED and I'd be surprised if that was faulty. What does U7 look like? It's the chip with 8 legs near QB1.
My son was running and my Bliss light fell over & now one of the buttons is stuck. what size Phillips screwdriver would I need to fit into the screws? I’m trying to fix it.
Hello sir, I have a smart star projector device. The color light and the laser are working, but the motor is not working. I tried from within the device’s application to turn it on, but it does not move, and the light and laser remain constant. Can you help solve this problem?
Love this video! I have the same product and my power button isn’t changing the function so my nebula doesn’t show up. I can see a dim blue light on inside the black box. Any suggestions?
@@SolderBrothers I know the button is clicking because the laser turns off when I press them. But no matter how many times I press the power button, the function won’t change. So no turning it off or on and no blue nebula. Thinking the connection to one of the LEDs is faulty. Also, the motherboard gets hot when plugged in. Thank you for answering so quickly! It’s not the end of the world if it’s a goner, just a fun project we might be able to solve.
@@chloecomunale7018 The board shouldn't get hot, that indicates a short circuit. Which component gets hot? If the laser can still be turned on/off then the microcontroller is probably okay. A dim LED could be another sign of a short circuit on the board. Does the motor still work? Can that be turned on/off?

Just wanted to say that I really enjoy watching your videos and your calming, methodical approach to troubleshooting. Please don't stop posting!
Thank you, I will do what ever comes across.

What’s the size and type of screwdriver you used

I also have this problem :(

Thank you. The buttons have a long post that actually pushes the little switch. These can slip off and not actually push the switch.
