Lobby animations are different tho, that one will take too much effort to connect to main story, so most of them are not canon. I really love it when the Devs make sure as much as their content is actually happening canonically, let's don't reduce their hardwork on connecting everything together.

In case of AG, heartlinks do reference main story, but it's never the other way around. You are free to think about them however you want, but there is no dating in the main story, this isn't Snowbreak. Although with the whole 'gender war' happening in CN internet and constant dramas, it makes me worry how devs will react, and I really hope they avoid going the Snowbreak route making everything canon. So far so good, but you never know, the CN internet can be crazy at times.
