The Buffalo City Metro Municipality in the Eastern Cape has assured visitors and residents that their safety is priority number one this Easter weekend.
The metro is holding several safety campaigns in East London and its surrounds.
It has also increased the number of lifeguards at the beaches in preparation for the planned influx of domestic tourists.
