It's an age old debate. Do Christians need to keep the Sabbath or is that only for Jewish people? Is Sunday the new Sabbath? What does the Bible say?

SDA Protestant pastors don't want you to know this:
      1. The Seventh Day Adventist Protestant denomination was not even thought of by a "man" in Battle Creek, MI until 1863AD, so how can there remotely be any claim back to Jesus Christ or outrageously "Genesis"??? The truth is the SDA Protestant denomination is just another "man made" division of 35,000 and growing divisions stemming from a 1500's "man" Martin Luther.
      en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Seventh-day_Adventist_Church
      2. SDA's don't want you to understand in the Book of Daniel it was referencing the Antiochus persecution of the Jews that is thoroughly corroborated in history and the Book of Maccabees. (Dan. 7:25/1 Maccabees 1:41-57, Daniel 9:27/1 Maccabees 1:20-22, Daniel 11:21-45/all of which Antiochus did historically, Daniel 12:6-7/Antiochus persecution lasted 1,335 days)
      3. SDA's don't want you to understand in the Book of Revelation the "Beast" (Roman Empire) and the "Harlot" (Jews) have already teamed up to not only kill our Lord (John 19:15), but all the early Church Saints. And yes, the "Beast" (Roman Empire) did in fact "devour" the "Harlot" (Revelation 17:16) with utter destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD as Jesus Christ accurately predicted in Matthew 24:34 or within one "generation" (40 years) of His prophecy.
      4. SDA's don't want you to understand the old covenant Jews never ever separated the 10 Commandments from all 613 Commandments:
      www.jewfaq.org/m/613.htm
Per Jewish law and the Word of GOD
Galatians 5:3-4 ***"I testify again to every man who receives circumcision that he is bound to keep the whole law. You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace."***
      5. SDA don't want you to understand we get "born again" (John 3:5) through the NEW ADAM OF OBEDIENCE Jesus Christ (Romans 5:12-21, 6:3-13, 7:6, 8:2, 10:4, Galatians 2:19-20, 3:19-25, 4:19-31, 5:18) to live in the "Spirit of the Law" being the NEW COVENANT COMMANDMENT of "LOVE" (John 13:34, 15:12, 15:17, Romans 7:6, 8:2) or "Law of Christ" (1 Corinthians 9:21, Galatians 6:2) that fulfills ALL the old covenant laws (Romans 13:8, 10, Galatians 5:14) and we actually become part of the NEW CREATION (2 Corinthians 5:17, Hebrews 8:13, Galatians 6:15).
      6. SDA'S don't want you to know about GOD'S promise to "end" all the old Jewish covenant "Harlot Sabbaths" per Hosea 2:11, Lamentations 2:6, 2:9, Luke 16:16, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 3:19-25, Hebrews 8:13.
And, what day all the Leviticus Chapter 23 "forever" feasts point to - being "the day after Sabbath" as the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19) fulfills all these old covenant "shadow" feasts (Hebrews 10:1) .
      7. SDA'S don't want you to know about the NEW COVENANT PRIESTHOOD or Levi covenant promise (Jeremiah 33:14-22, Malachi 2:4-7, 3:3) where GOD said He would take in "some" Gentile "priests" fulfilling Isaiah 66:18-21 prophecy - necessitating a "change" in the law to allow "some" Gentile priests:
Hebrews 7:12 "For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well."
      8. SDA's don't want you to know the power of being baptized through the NEW ADAM (Romans 5:12-21) Jesus Christ and how we are no longer "under" old covenant worship laws (Romans 6:14-15, 7:6, 7:10-11, 8:2, 10:4, 1 Corinthians 9:20-21, 2 Corinthians 3:3-11, 5:17, Galatians 3:19-25, 4:21-31, Hebrews 7:12, 8:13) and instead in a state of "GRACE" as long as we remain Holy.
      9. SDA's don't want you to know that you can actually "FALL FROM GRACE" when you deliberately sin (Hebrews 10:26-27, 29).
How you will need the "power" the ONE MEDIATOR Jesus Christ gave to His ONE and ONLY established Church being the ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH per John 20:23 and Matthew 16:18 to be reconciled with GOD again - in order to be back in a state of "GRACE" or "SAVED" through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
      10. SDA's don't want you to understand there is a NEW COMMAND in the NEW COVENANT (John 13:34, 15:12, 15:17) of "GRACE" (Romans 6:14-15, Galatians 5:18).
What does LOVE do??? (Romans 13:8, 10, Galatians 5:14). Ever wonder why the Ten Commandments were written on "two" tablets of stone??? 1. LOVE of GOD fulfills the first three commandments 2. LOVE of NEIGHBOR fulfills the remaining seven commandments. LOVE FULFILLS THE LAW and elevates the old covenant laws to perfection and serve as a reminder of what will happen if we are unloving and "FALL FROM GRACE" (Hebrews 10:29).
      11. SDA's want you to believe "breaking bread" is just another Jewish meal instead of the transformation of the old covenant "forever" GOD commanded Passover (Exodus 12:14) into the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19). How we must eat the "Lamb of GOD" for "death to truly Passover" (John 6:4, 54-58).
1 Corinthians 10:16-17. All Catholics "participate in" the ONE SACRIFICE of Jesus Christ the "Lamb of God" and in consuming His ONE BODY (John 6:55) in the "Marriage Supper of the Lamb" we truly "BECOME HIS ONE BODY", "the Church" a "Temple" holding the fulfilled forever liturgically commanded "Bread of the Presence" (Levicticus 24:5-9, Matthew 24:20):
      www.therealpresence.org/eucharst/father/a5.html
May GOD open your eyes to these Biblical and historical truths that the ONE and ONLY established Church of Jesus Christ is and forever will be the ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH (Matthew 16:18).

**GOD wants to be worshipped HIS WAY no longer in an old covenant Jewish way and definately not in 35,000 and growing Protestant "man made" Golden Calf ways.***
      BIBLICAL “FOREVER” COMMANDS OF WORSHIP
Does your Church meet the “forever” historical link all the way back to Judaism when Jesus Christ died on the cross, and from that point on until this very day celebrate the fulfillment of these “forever” liturgical worship commands of GOD in their “perfected” NEW COVENANT FORM?
      1. Passover Feast (Exodus 12:14, 24) Jesus during the “Last Supper” transformed the “forever” GOD commanded Passover by replacing the lamb with Himself in all the Gospel accounts. (Jesus is described as the “Lamb of GOD” in John 1:29, 1 Peter 1:19, and in 1 Corinthians 5:7 “Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us”) In the OT, everyone celebrating the Passover Feast was commanded by GOD to eat the meat of the lamb for death to “Passover”. Could a Hebrew or later practicing Jew only “symbolically” eat the lamb and obey GOD??? Jesus was being liturgically consistent with the original “forever” OT Passover commands to “eat the meat of the lamb” culminating in His “hard” teaching in John 6:53-54: “Truly, Truly, I say to you, UNLESS you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, YOU DO NOT HAVE LIFE IN YOU. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood HAS ETERNAL LIFE”. NEWPASSOVER(CCC#611,13391340) www.salvationhistory.com/studies/lesson/the_paschal_mystery_how_jesus_celebrated_fulfilled_the_passover
      2. Day of Atonement (Leviticus 16:30-33) CC has the altar and gives out the atoning blood provided by the “eternal” High Priest Jesus fulfilling Leviticus 17:11 “For the LIFE OF THE FLESH IS IN THE BLOOD, and I HAVE GIVEN IT FOR YOU UPON THE ALTAR TO MAKE ATONEMENT FOR YOUR SOULS; for it is THE BLOOD THAT MAKES ATONEMENT, by REASON OF THE LIFE” (CCC 616,623) www.salvationhistory.com/studies/lesson/jesus_and_the_day_of_atonement
      3. Tabernacle Feast (Leviticus 23:41-42) CC has the Tabernacle and fulfills this feast within the Mass. (CCC #1183,1090) www.salvationhistory.com/studies/lesson/tabernacles_old_testament_feast_and_eucharistic_fulfillment
      4. Unleavened Bread Feast (Exodus 12:17) CC has “7 days” a week unleavened bread (CCC#1334) www.salvationhistory.com/studies/lesson/the_mystery_of_the_feast_of_unleavened_bread
      5. Sanctuary Lamp (Exodus 27:20-21) CC has this burning constantly before the Tabernacle.
      6. Tabernacle Candles (Leviticus 24:2-4) CC has special candles placed next to the Tabernacle as commanded (CCC #1154, 1189)
      7. Tabernacle Bread of the Presence (Leviticus 24:5-9, Exodus 25:30) Jesus Christ becomes the true fulfilled “Bread of the Presence” during the Mass consecration. (CCC #1378)
      8. Leviticus Priesthood (Exodus 29:7-9, Exodus 40:15, 1 Chronicles 23:13, *Numbers 25:12-13, *Jeremiah 33:14-22, *Isaiah 66:21, Malachi 2:4-7, Malachi 3:3) Jesus fulfills the Levi Covenant promise by ordaining and reconciling the 12 apostles (tribes) for priesthood in the Upper Room to “do this in remembrance of me” (CCC #611, 1337). Proof? John 13:1-20 Jesus prior to His passion washes and “purifies” the Apostles to prepare them for priestly altar work (fulfilling Malachi 3:3 and the “forever” priest washing in Exodus 30:21). Like OT “Forever” Feasts, a Leviticus form of priesthood has to preside at the altar of sacrifice, be washed, and ultimately has to abstain or be celibate to even touch the “Bread of the Presence” (CCC # 1541-2) Jesus is the “pure offering” presented by the priesthood through “daily” Mass across the world fulfilling Malachi 1:11 prophesy.
      9. Priest Washing (Exodus 30:21) CC Priests complete a washing before consecration (CCC #1337)
      10. Priestly Share (Numbers 18:22-23) CC Priests are the first partakers of the Holy Eucharist, and receive offerings to the Church (CCC #2043)
      11. Animal Sacrifice (Leviticus 7:36-38; Deuteronomy 12:26-28, Exodus 29:42) Jesus is the described fulfillment “Lamb of GOD” (John 1:29 and 1 Corinthians 5:7) (CCC #608, 613)
      12. Grain Offering (Leviticus 6:9-11; 23:13-14) CC has bread and wine offering from parishioners brought up to the priests and the altar. (CCC #1334, 1350)
      13. Incense Burning (Exodus 30:8) CC Mass celebrate with incense on various occasions. (CCC #1154)
      14. Sabbath - Mark 2:28, Matthew 12:8, Luke 6:5 “For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath”. The day our Risen Lord showed us what to do in Luke 24:13-35 and “how He was made known to them in the breaking of the bread”. The risen Jesus obeys His Heavenly Father's "perpetual" celebration command being on "the day after Sabbath" per Leviticus 23:11-14, Pentecost 15-21, and verse 39 Tabernacle Feast being the “First day” and “Eighth Day” which is one in the same SUNDAY or “First Day of the Week”. CC follows our Risen Lord’s lead with “breaking of bread” or celebrating the “forever” NEW COVENANT PASSOVER on Sundays. CC even fulfills Jesus’s “Our Father” prayer “give us this day our daily bread” (Jesus compared Himself to OT manna in John 6:31-35) by providing the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER “daily”.
The Hebrew word “olam” or English translations “forever, everlasting, or perpetual” was clearly understood by the Jewish people as they still are “forever” obeying GOD’s liturgical commands and celebrating a form of the original Passover, Unleavened Bread, Day of Atonement, and Tabernacle Feasts to this very day.
JESUS CHRIST IS THE NEW ADAM (Romans 5:12-21) making us part of the NEW CREATION ( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17, GALATIANS 6:15) to enter into the NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH of worship (Isaiah 66:18-23).NEW ADAM + NEW CREATION + NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH = NEW SABBATH (Pentecost is "forever" GOD commanded on what "day" in Leviticus 23:15 with a day of rest in verse 21??? Hebrews 4:7-9??? "HE AGAIN SETS A CERTAIN DAY ” AND “ GOD WOULD NOT SPEAK LATER OF ANOTHER DAY " ).
So, if the Church was "born" on Pentecost through the "same day" the NEW ADAM was resurrected on, then what "day" would we get "reborn" (John 3:5) on to "LIVE in the "Spirit of the law" (Romans 8:2) being LOVE (John 13:34) of the NEW COVENANT???

      Sure.
JESUS CHRIST AS THE NEW MOSES
One cannot even remotely understand the NEW COVENANT without properly understanding the old covenant, i.e. all the other various covenants (Adam, Noah, Abraham, Mosaic, David, Levi), and all the covenant promises being “fulfilled” by Jesus Christ.
Are you aware Jesus was prophesized to be a NEW MOSES? Deuteronomy 18:18.
Leading a NEW EXODUS like Moses through “water (Baptism) and Spirit (Laying of Hands)” John 3:5 fulfilling Ezekiel 36:25-27 prophecy being “reborn” no longer liturgically bound by the old “written” covenant law (Baptism is per Romans 6:3-13 and explained in Romans 7:6)???
Establishing a NEW ISRAEL by choosing “12 Apostles” to represent the “12 Tribes” and gathering them all into the “NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH” where “ALL MANKIND” can come to worship Him (both Jew and Gentile alike) fulfilling Isaiah 66:22-23 prophecy???
Through Jesus Christ the NEW ADAM (Romans 5:12-18) we become part of the NEW CREATION (2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15) as “adopted” sons and daughters of GOD (Galatians 4:4-7)???
How like Moses Jesus went up on a mountain and gave us NEW LAW in the NEW COVENANT that “fulfill” (Matthew 5:17, Romans 13:8, 10, Galatians 5:14), elevate and “perfect” the old covenant laws (Matthew 5:1-12 and especially John 13:34, 15:12, 15:17, 1 Corinthians 9:21, Galatians 6:2)???
Aware that Jesus Christ transformed the Exodus 12:14 “forever” GOD commanded passover in the upper Room in the “Last Supper” into the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19-20) replacing the lamb in all the Synoptic Gospel accounts (Matthew 26:26-28, Mark 14:22-24, Luke 22:19-20) with Himself by becoming the “Lamb of GOD” (John 1:29, 1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1 :19) for “Death to Passover” (John 6:54)???
Giving us a NEW SABBATH as the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER "fulfills" all the Leviticus 23 "forever" GOD commanded Feasts that point to what "day" in Leviticus 23:11,15 and verse 21 "on the same day" with a “day of rest”, and verse 39??? Further, see “AGAIN HE SET A CERTAIN DAY” and “another day” per Hebrews 4:7-9 with what conclusion in verse 9???
Aware that Jesus gave us a NEW PRIESTHOOD as He fulfilled His Father’s “forever” WORD (Exodus 29:7-9, Exodus 40:15, 1 Chronicles 23:13), covenant promise to Levi (Numbers 25:12-13, Malachi 2:4-7), and NEW COVENANT PROMISE (Jeremiah 33:14-22) to take in some “Gentile” priests (Isaiah 66:21) so it will no longer be based on tribal lineage??? Are you aware an old covenant Jew could not go directly to GOD to receive His forgiveness for his personal sins??? Leviticus 5:5-6 and Numbers 5:5-9. The same is true in the NEW COVENANT as the ONE MEDIATOR gave what “power” to His Church in Matthew 16:19, 18:18 and specifically stated to newly certain ordained “men” in John 20:21-23???
Aware Jesus Christ gave His very self to us as the NEW MANNA in the Holy Eucharist (John 6:31-35) to sustain us until we reach the NEW PROMISED LAND (Heaven)???
Doubts about the “real presence” of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist??? If the old covenant is a mere “shadow” of the revelation in Jesus Christ (Hebrews 10:1), then what do you believe the “forever” liturgically GOD commanded “Bread of the Presence” (Exodus 25:30, Leviticus 24:5-9) becomes in the NEW COVENANT???

This one keeps getting deleted by SDA false teachers and followers. I wonder why??? Just in case there was any confusion over the NEW MOSES post.
The Catholic Church "SUPPORTS ALL COMMANDMENTS"!!! AGAIN, THE CATHOLIC CHURCH SUPPORTS ALL COMMANDMENTS OF GOD!!!
***There are two stages (old covenant laws and NEW COVENANT COMMANDMENT) or two steps to GOD’S REVEALED LAWS.****
The 10 Commandments are the "forever" immutable and immovable first step of GOD'S LAW. It will "forever" be convicting the WORLD of the need for the "sacrifice" of Jesus Christ to be "forgiven" or "released" through Baptism (Romans 6:3-13) into "NEW LIFE OF THE SPIRIT" (Romans 7:6, 8:2) to live in the "Spirit of the Law" which is LOVE (John 13:34) of the "second step" of revealed Law towards Heaven.
NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH (Isaiah 66:18-23), NEW CREATION (2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15), NEW ADAM (Romans 5:12-21, 1 Corinthians 15:22, 15:45), NEW STAGE, NEW STEP, NEW COMMANDMENT IN THE NEW COVENANT IS LOVE (John 13:34, 15:12, 15:17) = NEW SABBATH (Hebrews 4:7-9).
Additionally, the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19) “fulfills” all of the “forever” Leviticus Chapter 23 Feasts that are commanded on what “day” per Leviticus 23:11-14, 15-21, and verse 39 with a commanded “day of rest”??? All the Feast dates you say??? Moot point as the Catholic Church celebrates the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER “daily” as Jesus Christ compared Himself to the old covenant “manna” that came down “daily” per John 6:31-35.
Now back to the Laws, as a NEW COVENANT CHRISTIAN (Catholic) not only can I still break the old laws of the immovable and immutable first step or stage of law, but the second step or second stage of revealed LAW refusing to LOVE as Jesus Christ commands (John 13:34).
***I can commit sins of "commission" by "morally" breaking the old covenant laws (10 Commandments) and sins of "omission" not LOVING AS CHRIST DID.****
What "fulfilled" means is I am no longer "liturgically" bound to worship by the old covenant (Hebrews 8:13) through Jesus Christ's "sacrifice", but still "morally" REQUIRED TO FOLLOW THE 10 COMMANDMENTS AS IT IS THE FIRST STAGE OF GOD'S LAWS THAT ARE "FOREVER" IMMUTABLE AND IMMOVABLE LAWS.
Do you understand??? I am to "die" to my old "fleshly" sinful self to be "born again" and "LIVE IN THE SPIRIT". John 3:3-6. Verse 6 "THAT WHICH IS BORN OF THE FLESH IS FLESH, THAT WHICH IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT IS SPIRIT".
If I don't choose to "LIVE IN THE SPIRIT" of the Law of the second step up, then what does Romans 8:13 say about that specifically or Hebrews 10:26 what happens to Jesus Christ's "sacrifice" if I “deliberately sin”???
Welcome to Matthew 5:17 paraphrase "I DID NOT COME TO ABOLISH, BUT FULFILL" which means to elevate and "perfect" the old laws or first stage of revealed law. Sin???
ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS WILL BREAK YOURSELF AGAINST THE 10 COMMANDMENTS IF YOU FALL BACKWARDS INTO SIN AND HIT THAT “FIRST STEP” OF REVEALED LAW AND “MUCH WORSE” PER HEBREWS 10:29.
Ultimately, in the NEW COVEANNT we have a NEW ADAM (Jesus Christ), NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH (Catholic Church where “all mankind” both Jew and Gentile alike can worship Him), NEW CREATION, NEW LAW = NEW SABBATH!!!

Jesus and the Father are one (united in nature, purpose and character under the Godhead):
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Luke 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
John 10:36-38 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? (37) If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. (38) But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
John 12:49-50 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. (50) And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
John 14:6-7 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (7) If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
John 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
Jesus kept all His Father's Commandments. He never spoke a word that was not from the Father and always did the things that pleased him. He did as we should do, that we should fully depend on Him to keep the commandments just as He fully depended on His Father to keep the commandments. We keep them out of love:
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
1 John 5:1-4 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. (2) By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. (3) For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (4) For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
2 John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
We are to walk as Jesus walked:
(1 John 2:3) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
(1 John 2:4) He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
(1 John 2:5) But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
(1 John 2:6) He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
At the same time, there are references to the remnant people of God at the end of time keeping them:
(Revelation 12:17) And the dragon (devil) was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
(Revelation 14:12) Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
The Faith of Jesus and the commandments of God are especially connected to one another.
Remember that Jesus is the same today yesterday and forever:
(Hebrews 13:7) Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
(Hebrews 13:8) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
(Malachi 3:6) For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
(1 John 1:5) This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
James 1:13-17 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: (14) But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. (15) Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. (16) Do not err, my beloved brethren. (17) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
It would be strangely contradictory if Jesus could decide to disobey his own ten commandments that He wrote with His finger. Jesus is the I AM of the old testament:
Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
John 8:57-58 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? (58) Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. (and proceeded to attempt to stone Him for saying He was God)
Even in the genesis account of Eden, they have not seen the Father at any time:
(John 6:46) Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
Jesus is the one who instigated the writing of the ten commandments on mount Sinai. It is how we have the English expression, 'it is written (or set) in stone.' Which means that it is not to change at any time. These are commandments of Love.

Adventists and Judaizers are lawless transgressors of the new covenant law and here is definite proof:
Romans 7:6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by.
Hebrews 7: 12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.
=> New Covenant believers have died to the Mosaic law and are under a new law now.
Let´s find out about this new law.
Colossians 2:16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering
=> In the new covenant it is not about outward things like diet or special days, but about love and holiness. Thus, under the new covenant, SDAs and Judaizers are counted as lawless, transgressors of the law and disobedient.

@Mike Flanagan What are you even talking about? seriously? The only thing i agree on is i have no clue of what you speak of. Adventists believe in Jesus Christ, you're making it sound like we don't and are stuck on the old testament. We read the bible as we would any other book in existence from start to finish, which includes the new covenant. So i really don't understand how you interpreted 7th day Adventist believe they're without sin or we congratulate ourselves pridefully. I keep the 7th day holy for the same reason i don't commit murder, because it is a law from God and he stated in Luke 16:17 ESV - "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void." So we do believe in Jesus and we do believe the ONLY way to be saved is through God's grace through Jesus Christ, not by avoiding sin.

      @ErikTheCooky 3 роки тому +5

It seems like you're missing the tie. We do believe we are sinner. We do believe not following the law is death! BUT you're missing the point where we believe Jesus died on the cross to gift us God's grace to escape what we deserve, which is death.

@Mike Flanagan Our profit is Jesus, I follow the law because as humans we just make up our own law which we can mistake for good. If you do not want to follow God's law i can't force you. I do walk with the Holy Spirit which keeps me away from sin. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance" Yeah i agree, you can't have those things without the law. You can't kill someone have have peace, or use God's name in vain and have faith.

theresa flynn In christian concern and love, I need to ask, why are you so gullible in believing the Roman Catholic Church changed the sabbath to sunday? Why why why!? Why would you believe any thing that comes from Roman Catholicism as a truth. Just because they make a 'truth' claim doesn't make it 'truth'. The RCC are 100% false in claiming they changed the sabbath to sunday. Sunday was used by christians before the RCC was even officially a organization. Search the truth in this matter.
Even early 2nd century writings of christians state that the sabbath was the seventh day while the Lord's Day is sunday, with the resurrection being the motive for it's (1st day of the week) use. It's soooo easy today to find this information. These 2nd century documentation refutes the Roman Catholic Church in this matter. Don't believe them!

They changed no law. There is no law that says what day you must worship. In fact, you mean you can't or won't worship on any day but Saturday? Man you must be quite angry on the other days. And Islam? They worship on Friday. They consider saturday to be the first day of the week...or do you just despise catholics? The pope never ruled the world. In fact, the pope has zero influence in the world. India, china, all muslim countries...could give a rat's behind about the pope. But we fall over a man like he's special. 80% of the world could care less....and china has banned the pope. Yes... BANNED the pope. Why are adventists so ripe for decpetion? Oh yeah. They were deceived in 1843-1844 THREE TIMES! They have a lousy track track record. At one time, the adventist church did not believe in the Trinity. So? Does that make the adventist church today evil? Judge no one so you yourself will not be judged. The adventist church has a TON of baggage. the-undercover-adventist.blogspot.com/2016/08/will-adventists-ever-publish-sabbath.html

I liked the debate between Doug Batchelor and Steve Gregg. Both were very passionate in their beliefs and presentations. I will continue to seek out what is required of me from the Lord, through prayer. As for now, I will rest from working on the Sabbath, and worship Jesus on Sunday as this is familiar to me. I come from a Southern Baptist tradition, however, I see that the Sabbath is on Saturday, not Sunday. I do work alternating weekends as an hospital employee and have no choice but to work on Friday nights/Saturday mornings at least twice a month. Otherwise, I don't do house work or yard work on the Sabbath. I listen to Doug Batchelor on Sunday mornings followed by David Jeremiah, then I attend different churches for fellowship. So, whether or not I am judged least or great in the kingdom of God, I am glad I belong to Jesus. I will do my best to keep his commandments out of love and not salvation (works), for it is my belief that I am saved by his Grace alone. My faith will always be in Jesus. Still a work in progress as their is much for me to yet learn.

No where in the word of God says to keep sunday holy, it was established as the mark of the papal authority as they claim themselves. It will be the mark of the beast power when established and enforced by law. Look up the sunday blue laws and see for yourself. The sabbath was made holy, not the first day. Dont let traditions of man take your crown, be faithful to God only. You have been given the light on this subject, make a stand for God because sunday is satans counterfiet sabbath and if you found counterfiet money in your wallet and recognized it you would toss it in the trash. Satan wants people to keep sunday because they then break GODS commandment and the bible says if you break one , you have broken them all. Sitting on the fence is like the bible verse saying God wants us iether hot or cold otherwise he will spew us out of his mouth. I hope you make the right choice and out of love for God, obey him.

      9). Covetousness (10th commandment) condemned 9 times

What about the commandment thou shall not kill'? Jeremiah 1:5 God said I knew you when I formed you in the womb and sanctified thee . God created those babies and SDA doctors and nurses murder them for money . Proverbs 6:16, 17 God hates hands that shed innocent blood . My favorite thing about Doug is he never enters a conversation trying to prove himself. He gives the facts in a calm and dignified matter. No bible thumping or painting the opposition in a bad light. This alone can encourage trust in his position, but he brings the Bible to the forefront and any intellectually honest human being can see, that no where in the Bible is Sunday a holy day. No where. The only day that God called His own is the 7th day.
Sunday worshippers will fight tooth and nail to preserve Sunday worship, but why wont they fight hard to keep the biblical Sabbath? It's because it would require them to abandon their traditions and for some, that is a huge sacrifice.
I pray that everyone will be willing to sacrifice their own way to follow God's way.

Although the apostle Paul may have observed the Sabbath, he would have been against Doug Baxter for teaching it as a requirement under the New Covenant. He would debate against Doug Baxter just as he did with individuals like him in the first century who were trying to oblige Christians to keep the Law. Galatians Chapters 3 to 5 is a CLEAR instruction against teaching keeping the Law to be justified. Any who attempt to be justified by the Law, Paul teaches, is fallen from grace and Christ is of none effect. They reject the grace of Christ and instead attempt to be justified by the Law which condemns them, because none keep it perfectly (as ONLY Christ did).
"For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 *Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.* 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. 7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? 8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you." --Galatians 5
*"If ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law."* -- Galatians 5
Those teaching justification under the Law are CLEARLY NOT being led by the Spirit to do so. The apostle Paul DID NOT teach justification by the Law. He taught justification by FAITH.
A person my keep anything taught under the Law. God's Law is good. But to teach God's Mosiac Law to be justified by God as if God requires it for Christians in Christ.. is WRONG and FALSE.

@@ivanmarkpadilla4810 The man in Matthew 19 who had kept the Law was not justified by it, and he realized that he was still lacking something. So he asked Jesus what was he still lacking? Jesus revealed that the man was not justified by the Law and was lacking FAITH in God which would have enabled him to sell all he had and give to the poor. Think about it. God (the Word) Jesus Christ gave the man a command to sell all he had and give to the poor so that he would have treasure in heaven. But the man went away sorrowful apparently unwilling to obey that command. *So, I stress, although he kept the Law, he was unjustified before God.*
Why? Because the Law is not of faith, as the apostle Paul explains in Galatians 3:12. So, a person can keep the Mosiac Law (albeit imperfectly) and still lack faith in God, which is what justifies a person. *Faith along with works of faith is what justifies a person before God; not the Mosiac Law.(James 2:18-26)*
"But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 *You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder! 20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works;* 23 and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”-and he was called a friend of God. 24 *You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.* 25 And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? 26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead."

I find it interesting that Steve says he keeps the Sabbath seven days a week (every day) and yet he disagrees with keeping the Sabbath once a week, on the Seventh day, because the Law has been abolished. So it's legalism to worship God on the day He asked to be a special day, but okay to do it 7 days a week? He's doing what he claims shouldn't be done, 7 days a week! And if he's keeping the Sabbath all week, when does he work? Very inconsistent.

They did not enter into that spiritual rest , they didn't believe in Jesus or had faith and God swore that they won't enter in. Isaiah 28:10-13 prophecies of Jesus being the rest that was to come. He also prophesied that 'from' one sabbath to another, we will worship him, not 'on' one sabbath to another , that means all the days in between, When God commands us to keep the sabbath holy. He is referring to resting in him. Matthew 11:28-30. It's not about gathering for worship on a specific day. Out-of-doors With the Children-The parents may take their children outdoors to view God in nature. They can be pointed to the blooming flowers and the opening buds, the lofty trees and beautiful spires of grass, and taught that God made all these in six days and rested on the seventh day and hallowed it. Thus the parents may bind up their lessons of instruction to their children, so that when these children look upon the things of nature, they will call to mind the great Creator of them all. Their thoughts will be carried up to nature's God-back to the creation of our world, when the foundation of the Sabbath was laid, and all the sons of God shouted for joy. Such are the lessons to be impressed on the minds of our children. CG 533.3
We are not to teach our children that they must not be happy on the Sabbath, that it is wrong to walk out-of-doors. Oh, no. Christ led His disciples out by the lakeside on the Sabbath day and taught them. His sermons on the Sabbath were not always preached within enclosed walls.21

The Greek word translated Sabbath-rest is Sabbatismos and it refers to a physical keeping of the Sabbath. So that if a person accepts salvation thus entering into God’s salvation rest, they will ALSO rest from their works just as God did from his. And how did God rest as an example to us?

The End of the Sabbath Law
      - What law of commandments separated Jews from Gentiles? The Law of Moses! One of those commandments was to observe the Sabbath. (Ephesians 2:11-15)
Today we are dead to the Law of Moses. That is the same law that said, 'You shall not covet' and also said, 'Remember the Sabbath day; to keep it holy.' The entire Law of Moses was nailed to the cross. (Romans 7:4-7)
      - The only reason that we are not to covet today is because the Law of Christ commands us! (Romans 13:9, Hebrews 10:1, 9)
      - Those who appeal to the old law make make themselves a debtor to do the whole old law. (Galatians 5:2-3)

If you touch that ark you die you had to be a levite. Yahshua was a king and priest and the ten commandments live through him. John 14:15. Luke 4:16 NKJV. So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. My point is this, if Jesus kept the Sabbath as His custom I too should do the same.

Gregg shared how John records that Jesus broke the Sabbath. What we need to recognize though is that Jesus never broke the spirit of the Law. He lived and moved in Rest, doing only what He heard and saw the Father doing. Total trust: and I believe He was refreshed with the Father in the morning hours. This was His daily bread and He abided in the Father. That was His rest. He was demonstrating the fulfillment of the law: how to abide in the peace of the Father.

livingisresting But remember, there is a DOING that Christ demonstrated in obedience to God's commandments. He did NOT exclude the physical fulfilment for the spiritual, but let the spiritual drive his physical performance of righteousness. For instance, he was baptized, LITERALLY, to "fulfill all righteousness". He did NOT just confess conversion, but modelled for us our need to actually DO, and not be hearers only. FAITH works, as demonstrated by Paul and by Jesus. He actually went to the synagogue on Sabbath, and kept it, not according to the Pharisees, but according to God. He was without sin, as he never ever actually committed sin. He NEVER transgressed, he never acted outside the will of God, never ommitted any duty and spiritualized away ACTUAL compliance. Tit2v11 says WE can too, under grace.

There are many people including ex Adventist ministers and pastors who depart from the truth. They try to make their own interpretations of the word of God. Without them knowing, they try to take the place of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit reveals to us to the wonderful truths of the Bible and He uses true consecrated men to spread the truths. It breaks my heart to see how our lost brothers and sisters believe they know more than God. We should not attack these poor souls but pray for them. I believe many of them never pursued vocation but profession. Many with un consecrated hearts had trouble understanding the simple words of God. Remember the devil's job is to confuse the truth. By doing so he can slowly separate you from the truth. I implore everyone to study and pray that the Holy Spirit can eliminate the weaknesses in your heart and mind. @@John-eh4yk The Sabbath is no longer binding. The fact is, every one of the Ten Commandments is a part of the law of Christ except the fourth commandment, Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy (Ex. 20:8). The word sabbath comes from a root word meaning to cease, desist. The idea is not that of relaxation or refreshment, but of cessation from activity. It was a word used in regard to the observation of the seventh day of the week (our Saturday) which God enjoined upon Israel. It was based upon the fact that after the sixth day of creation, God rested on the seventh (Ex. 31:16,17). This day of rest had special significance to the Hebrews since for over four hundred years they had been in Egyptian bondage, during which time they never had a day of rest.

      The Sabbath Misconception
There's a lot of propaganda regarding the sabbath. Ellen White supposedly found a hidden truth about the sabbath. Well she was wrong. The sabbath is not the heart of the moral law or the seal of God because "Love is THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW (Romans 13:10)."
It is not a New Testament moral law. It was a ceremonial shadow pointing to Christ who made the atonement for sin and we are complete and rest in him, see Numbers 28:9,10; Colossians 2:10,16,17;Hebrews chapters 3 and 4. It is a REST OF FAITH, not a day of the week to keep. There's liberty in Christ concerning days, so there's no Saturn day or Sunday keeping commandment. For these reasons Jesus did not command sabbath keeping. It is NOT A COMMANDMENT OF CHRIST. It has nothing to do with the gospel or the gentiles. By meeting on the first day of the week, believers commemorate the resurrection and have done so since the first century. Therefore the Sunday law mark of the beast is an erroneous notion invented by Ellen White.

How do you keep the sabbath that it say; you can not got out and kindle fire on the Sabbath?
The Sabbath that it is the Ten Commandments is the covenant of the blood of animals to cover the sins of Israelites,by doing it that makes them holy. While the new covenant is the blood of Jesus that takes away the sins of the world. The Sabbath in Ten Commandments is the Passover and the feast of unleavened bread. That’s the only Sabbath that given to Israelites before they get into the promised land. And also, when Israelites celebrates the Sabbath, they will go to go to Israel, otherwise God will not send them rain.
Jesus did not commanded to keep the Sabbath but instead He commanded us we “MUST BE BORN AGAIN IN SPIRIT.” It is a “MUST.”
You are going to keep the Ten Commandments, great! But how about the other sins that mention in new testaments? How about our thoughts? Jesus said; when you look to a woman with lust, you are committing adultery in your heart. And also when you hate someone, you committing murder.
If you think you are holy by going to church on Saturday, then set aside the blood of Jesus that justify your sins. And ask yourself, why Jesus need to die for you and paid for the penalty that you deserved.

TESTIMONY OF HELL (Religious But Lost)
According to someone's testimony, they saw prophetess Ellen White [ a founder of Seventh Day Adventism] in hell. Jesus said she is in this place for inventing heresies. She prophesied lies and still had connections with the Satanists [Freemasons] who helped her ministry grow. She also taught her members to keep the Sabbath stepping on my grace. Whoever wants to live in the law will have to never sinned. Whoever chooses to live in the law will have to save himself from it without committing any sin like Me. All the sects that reject my grace stare down the contract of the New Covenant. Whoever lives in the contract of the Old Covenant will be cursed and go to hell.
Jesus said, this woman Ellen White lied saying, there is no hell. She taught people hell does not exist, but when she died she landed in hell. Now she is in it, and I saw how the demons tormented that woman. The more souls went down to hell because of her teaching, the more she was tormented. From the foundation of her sect until now, millions of souls are now going to hell. Jesus said, testify most of its souls may come to salvation and ascend into heaven.

      THE TRUTH ABOUT THE SABBATH
The Sabbath Day begins at sundown on Friday and ends at sundown on Saturday. Therefore, the Lord Jesus Christ rose on THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK.
Question: "Do Christians have to observe the Sabbath day?"
Answer: It is often claimed that “God instituted the Sabbath in Eden” because of the connection between the Sabbath and creation in Exodus 20:11. Although God’s rest on the seventh day (Genesis 2:3) did foreshadow a future Sabbath law, there is no biblical record of the Sabbath before the children of Israel left the land of Egypt. Nowhere in Scripture is there any hint that Sabbath-keeping was practiced from Adam to Moses.
The Word of God makes it quite clear that Sabbath observance was a special sign between God and Israel: “The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant. It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested” (Exodus 31:16-17).
In Deuteronomy 5, Moses restates the Ten Commandments to the next generation of Israelites. Here, after commanding Sabbath observance in verses 12-14, Moses gives the reason the Sabbath was given to the nation Israel: “Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day” (Deuteronomy 5:15).
God’s intent for giving the Sabbath to Israel was not that they would remember creation, but that they would remember their Egyptian slavery and the Lord’s deliverance. Note the requirements for Sabbath-keeping: A person placed under that Sabbath law could not leave his home on the Sabbath (Exodus 16:29), he could not build a fire (Exodus 35:3), and he could not cause anyone else to work (Deuteronomy 5:14). A person breaking the Sabbath law was to be put to death (Exodus 31:15; Numbers 15:32-35).
An examination of New Testament passages shows us four important points: 1) Whenever Christ appears in His resurrected form and the day is mentioned, it is always the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1, 9, 10; Mark 16:9; Luke 24:1, 13, 15; John 20:19, 26). 2) The only times the Sabbath is mentioned from Acts through Revelation, the occasion is Jewish evangelism, and the setting is usually a synagogue (Acts chapters 13-18). Paul wrote, “To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews” (1 Corinthians 9:20). Paul did not go to the synagogue to fellowship with and edify the saints, but to convict and save the lost. 3) After Paul states, “From now on I will go to the Gentiles” (Acts 18:6), the Sabbath is never again mentioned. And 4) Instead of suggesting adherence to the Sabbath day, the remainder of the New Testament implies the opposite (including the one exception to point 3, above, found in Colossians 2:16).
Looking more closely at point 4 above will reveal that there is no obligation for the New Testament believer to keep the Sabbath,

@@iscezbal8 Jesus, Lord of the sabbath and Mediator of the New Testament, chose not to give the 4th commandment because it was ceremonial, not a moral law, and pointed to him (Colossians 2:16,17). In the next verse Paul advises Christians about judgmental sabbath keepers.
It's a ritual with lambs as noted in Numbers 28:9,10.
It is an abrogated Hebrew ritual law that pointed to Christ and has nothing to do with the gospel and the gentiles. The commandments of God are the commandments of Christ of which the sabbath is EXCLUDED.
The sabbath is a dead work now. Trying to keep it is living under the Old COVENANT and staring down the New stepping on the grace of Christ.
Sabbath keepers willed Jesus to be murdered. They murdered Stephen and stoned Paul. Adding to this significance, according to Andrew SDA whistleblower, adventist hospitals have performed thousands of abortions, murdering preborn children. The sabbath keepers are still murdering to this day. What a shame. This sabbarian institution has blood on its hands. Pastor and author Billy Crone says SDA is an insidious cult. He said don't walk away, run away. Ellen White has more false doctrines like soul sleeping, no hell annihilation, investigative judgment, Sunday law mark of the beast, etc.

7th day Adventists leadership teaching claim that going to church on Sunday will eventually lead to a "Sunday law" of which the Anti-christ or Beast system will force everybody to go to church on Sunday. I believe this is erroneous. There is nothing in the book of Revelation that suggests this. What it does say is that everyone on earth at that time during the tribulation period spoken of in the book of Daniel and in the book of Revelation is that people will have to receive a Mark in there hand or forehead in order to buy or sell, of which is the mark of the Beast. If the person refuses the mark, they can not buy anything or sell anything, and will be imprisoned and executed.

The only Christian church that are too judgemental on other christian denomination is Seventh Day Adventist.
Most of the Adventist members strongly believe that those who worship on Sunday will go to hell. I can't locate any particular scriptures that says those who worship on Sunday will go to hell.
Observing physical Sabbath is More important or restraining the holiness of moral is important?
Why does ministers of Gospel who worship on Sunday are mightly used by God and Holy Spirit to cast down demons and heal sickness in Jesus name. Some one use Mathew 7:21 and can argue on that .
They are keeping the Sunday as the Holy day of worship but doing the great miracles.
Are they used by God or other spirit?
The bible clearly state the important of being a Christian, who follow Christ is all about the purity of heart in the new testament. In the gospel of Jesus you would realized that Jesus was teaching more about having the purity of hearts than observing the physical days, diet, and other ceremonials law.
The point here is, weather you are worshipping on the Saturday or Sunday is not the the point, the point is you keeping the holiness in the heart and mind this is where the moral issues are.
To conclude, John 3:3 , again This is a new testament, Nicodemus was the teacher of law, that means he knows all the holiday days, festival, rituals etc.. but he missed the big points, he concerned more on physical stuff than observing the holiness of heart and mind.Jesus said, Born again and you will see the kingdom of God. Let's Born again in our hearts and minds rather than concern or physical laws, that's where Jesus concern is.

    • @sirlearn
      @sirlearn 4 роки тому +4

Okay.....first, the shabbat is not optional neither is it done away with. Not one jot of the Torah will pass away....However you must understand that the Torah was a prophetic shadow picture of good things to come. The Torah or instructions that was given to Mosheh had a higher definition or revelation in the New covenant. They had a fulfillment in the Life of Yahusha. Yahusha is the embodiment of the whole Torah. Yisharel kept the shabbat and all other instructions to depict a higher revelation of what YAHUAH would do in the New covenant.
For instance..... In the old testament anger was not something that was likened unto murder but Yahusha lifted up the standard in Matthew 5:21,22.
Also fornication and adultery were also lifted up to looking and lusting after a woman in Matthew 5:28.
In Matthew 19...a rich man came to Yahusha to know how he could be saved....listen to what Yahusha told him to observe for eternal salvation....note that he had not died yet and so was still in the old testament.... But listen...
      Matthew 19:16-21
[16]And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
[17]And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
[18]He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
[19]Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[20]The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
[21]Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
      Yahusha instructed him to keep the commandments or the Torah.....and the man asked which one specifically.... The simple answer would have been all the commandments but Yahusha listed the specific ones that deals with the salvation of an individual;
1.Thou shalt do no murder, 2.Thou shalt not commit adultery,
      3. Thou shalt not steal,
      4. Thou shalt not bear false witness,
      5. Honour thy father and thy mother: and
      6. Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
      The first six instructions Yahusha listed referred to how we deal with ourselves as humans or what it means to love your neighbour as yourself and it summarizes commandment 5 to 10.... the young man replied that he had been doing all that from childhood and so was waiting to hear that he could enter the kingdom until Yahusha said this;
If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
Hahaha, sell all you have...sell your riches, sell your very heart desire, sell your little idol, sell the very thing that sustains you, sell that which you put your trust in, sell your very life, forsake your life, and come and follow me.
This was a very hard thing to do.
It will only take a man who loves YAHUAH with his whole heart, a man who has not made his riches his idol, a man who revere the name of the Lord, a man who loves the Lord to sell all that he has to follow after Yahusha......this statement of Yahusha is the fulfilment of Torah 1-4.
This is why Yahusha said to the people that all the law and the prophets hangs on two commandments , see
      Matthew 22:36-39
[36]Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
[37]Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[38]This is the first and great commandment.
[39]And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Love YAHUAH with everything you have, and with your heart, your soul and mind and love your neighbour as yourself.
Shabbath was never dealt away with but it had a greater revelation and essence in the new covenant . Yisharel kept the seventh day Shabbat as they were commanded but they did not believe in the Lord so none of the people who came out of Mizraim( Egypt) entered into the rest or Shabbat of YAHUAH. Only Joshua Ben Nun and Caleb Ben Juphuneh got to the promised land which was a prophetic shadow picture of the true Shabbat.
And they were able to get there not because they were more diligent in observing the Torah than the others but because they trusted in YAHUAH when the gave faithful reports about the Canaanites that they could conquer them. They did not murmur against YAHUAH neither did they trust in their own strength. In short, their hearts were right with YAHUAH. Once you understand that shabbat is the rest of YAHUAH for HIS people , the picture becomes clearer.
The new testament writer of the book of Hebrew reveals an interesting truth about Shabbat....
      Hebrews 4:1-11
[1]Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
[2]For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
[3]For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
[4]For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
[5]And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
[6]Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
[7]Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
[8]For if Jesus(Joshua) had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
[9]There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
[10]For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
[11]Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Yisharel couldn't enter into the rest or shabbat of YAHUAH because they did not trust or belief HIM. But the true Rest or shabbat is experienced if we enter into the rest of YAHUAH.... This is where we seize from our own works and follow after the commandments of Yahusha.
He told us to love the Lord thus to the point where we give all we have to follow after HIM. To love HIM and to refrain from all idols and honor HIM. To declare HIS ways to the unlearn and trust him even as Joshua and Caleb trusted him. To seize from our own works not just on the seventh day but all the days and hours of the day because in Yahusha we enter into the rest or Shabbat of YAHUAH. We seize from the works of the flesh..like adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Matthew 12:1-13
[1]At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
[2]But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
      [3]But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
[4]How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
[5]Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
[6]But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
[7]But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
[8]For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
[9]And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:
[10]And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
[11]And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
[12]How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
[13]Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
Yahusha broke corn, and replied them that David did what was unlawful on the shabbat but was justified....The priests also did what was unlawful on the shabbat but were guiltless and HE the son of man, greater than the temple has healed and plugged the ears of corn and yet he is justified ....at this the Pharisees were confused because of what they understood about the Shabbat.... Yahusha added this, "It is lawful to do good on the shabbat"- note that he didn't talk about how hard word that good will require, just do good and your are guiltless.....You can cook for people, preach the gospel, baptize people, help people, and many more just do good , in other words walk in the spirit....demonstrate the fruit of the spirit and you will fulfil the Shabbat.
Hallelujah.....YAHUAH did not leave us there but there is also the final revelation of Shabbat in the future which is the eternal rest with YAHUAH which first starts from the final millennium reign with YAHUSHA on earth.
So my brother, Shabbat graduates in revelation and it will forever be observed but the Qodeshiym's (saints) of YAHUAH but its observation is not the same.
This is why I early on said, You can keep Shabbat as kept by Yisharel...that may help your own conscience or moreover give you ample time to reflect on the ways of YAHUAH but don't make a doctrine out of this and enforce it on all others.
      Thank you.

Thanking GOD always for using these people as He allows us to gain His wisdom trough them. There is too much to agree with both and for me yes the laws do not bring us to salvation but believing in JESUS should lead me to obey the laws specially on keeping the sabbath. I still have flaws though on keeping it but I am asking GOD to teach me and if not force me to delight on it as HIS laws is not for HIS gain but ours. Thank you LORD for the wisdom. May we hear more of these.

Robt Clayton, the Bible didn't say "Adam and Eve followed the Sabbath.", because you're supposed to think, "Oh hey, it's God's law, makes sense that since there was no sin, no transgressions that they followed the law of God." Keep in mind that nobody had broke the rules til the day of the Forbidden Tree's fruit was consumed. The Sabbath was made for man. And specifically on the seventh day.

You sure -- 99% of the promises are spoke and written to Jews-- NOT TO GENTILES. including the NEW covenant! Read it-- it is made NOT to gentiles...Is he THE way, THE truth, and THE life, or do GENTILES get a discounted path to follow? Is it SIN to keep SABBATH, or any other Command, by grace, to follow and please God, Robert? What scripture shows us that God's law is null and void in ANY way, and that we should SUBSTITUTE a Mithraic, heathen, pagan 🌅day, supposedly in honor of Christ? When did Christ's holiness, that he himself in Eden placed in the Sabbath dissipate and end? When will we worship God in the NEW EARTH? Just anytime?

The SDA Church DOES NOT interpret the "rest" in Hebrews 4:9 as the 7th day Sabbath rest that is mentioned in the Ten Commandments. Here's the commentary on Heb 4:9 taken from The Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary Vol 7 published by Review and Herald Publishing Association:
"9. There remaineth therefore. See on v. 6. Verse 9 states the conclusion, already alluded to in v. 6. drawn from the line of argument begun in v. 3 to prove the assertions of vs. 1, 3. This line of argument may be set forth briefly as follows:
      1. As originally made to ancient Israel God’s promised “rest” included: (a) permanent settlement in the land of Canaan, (b) a transformation of character that would make the nation a fit representative of the principles of God’s kingdom, and (c) the role of being God’s chosen instrument for the salvation of the world (see Vol. IV, pp. 26-30; see on ch. 3:11).
      2. The generation to whom the promise of “rest” was originally made failed to enter the land of Canaan because of unbelief (see on ch. 3:19).
      3. Joshua did led the next generation into the land that had been promised (see on ch.3:11), but because they were spiritually stiff-necked he could not lead them into the spiritual “rest” God intended them to find there (see on ch. 4:7, 8).
      4. The same promise had been repeated in the days of David (v. 7). This was evidence that Israel had not, at that time, entered into the spiritual “rest,” and also that their failure to do so in the days of Moses and Joshua had not invalidated the original promise.
      5. The ultimate accomplishment of God’s purposes is certain, despite the failure of successive generations (see on vs. 3, 4).
      6. The writer’s earnest plea to God’s people of apostolic times to “enter into that rest” (vs. 11, 16) is further evidence that the invitation remained valid and that God’s people, as a group, had not truly entered into that “rest” even in apostolic times.
      7. Accordingly, the promise of, and invitation to enter into, God’s spiritual “rest” remains valid (vs. 6, 9), and Christians should “labour therefore to enter into that rest” (v. 11).
It should be noted that the “rest” that remained in Christian times was the spiritual “rest” originally promised to literal Israel (see on v. 3). Obviously, what remains must have been there to begin with.
Rest. Gr. sabbatismos, “a resting [from previous activity],” “a cessation [from previous activity],” later “a Sabbathkeeping,” from the verb sabbatizos÷, “to rest,” “to cease,” “to keep Sabbath.” Sabbatismos appears elsewhere neither in the Bible nor in ancient literature until the 2d and 3d centuries, with the possible exception of a single occurrence in Plutarch Moralia 166A. Consequently, some have concluded that the writer of Hebrews coined the word as he wrote this passage (see Moulton and Milligan, Vocabulary of the Greek New Testament).
Sabbatismos and sabbatizoµ are Greek renderings of the Hebrew noun shabbath and its related verb shabath, respectively, and the meaning of the latter may be expected to cast light on the meaning of the former. Shabbath occurs 101 times in the OT, where it generally means “Sabbath,”-the seventh day of the week-or “week,” a period of seven days marked off by successive Sabbaths. It is also used of the sabbatical year (Lev. 25:6; 26:34, 43; 2 Chron. 36:21). The verb shabath occurs 70 times, 7 times with reference to the Sabbath rest and 63 times with reference to other kinds of rest. For instances of the latter usage see Gen. 8:22; Joshua 5:12; Neh. 6:3; Lam. 5:14; Isa. 14:4; 24:8; 33:8. The root meaning of the verb shabath is “to cease,” “to rest.” The word sometimes denotes the weekly Sabbath rest. But the noun shabbath, derived from shabath, commonly denotes the weekly Sabbath rest, and also the space of time marked off by successive Sabbaths, the week (L
ev. 23:15), and the sabbatical years (ch. 26:35; etc.). It may be noted also that shabbathon, which is simply shabbath with the ending Ðon, is used of the Day of Atonement (Lev. 16:31; 23:32), of the sabbatical year (Lev. 25:4, 5), of the Feast of Trumpets (Lev. 23:24), and of the first and last days of the Feast of Tabernacles (Lev.23:39)-as well as of the seventh-day Sabbath.
Sabbatizoµ is used seven times in the LXX, once of the literal seventh-day Sabbath (Ex.16:30), once of other sabbaths (Lev. 23:32), and five times of the land’s resting in the sabbatical year (Lev. 26:34, 35; 2 Chron. 36:21). In the LXX of Ex. 16:30; Lev. 23:32;26:34, 35 sabbatizoµ is from the Hebrew shabath. Accordingly, the fundamental idea expressed by sabbatizo in the LXX is that of resting or ceasing from labor or other activity. Hence usage of the related Greek and Hebrew words implies that the noun sabbatismos may denote either the literal Sabbath “rest” or simply “rest” or “cessation” in a more general sense. Thus, a linguistic study of the word sabbatismos in Heb. 4:9 leaves it uncertain whether the weekly Sabbath “rest” is here referred to, or simply “rest” or “cessation” in a general sense. Context alone can decide the matter.
The writer of Hebrews appears to use katapusis and sabbatismos more or less synonymously:
      1. Because Joshua could not lead Israel into spiritual “rest” (katapausis, v. 8), a sabbatismos (v. 9) remains for Christians. Consistency seems to require that what remains be the same as what was there to begin with. Because Joshua did not lead literal Israel into spiritual “rest” would be no reason for the Christian to observe the Sabbath.
      2. From vs. 1, 6 it is clear that what remains for the people of God in NT times is a katapausis; in v. 9 it is said that a sabbatismos remains. To declare that what remains for “the people of God” is the weekly Sabbath, is to declare that what Joshua failed to lead Israel into was the weekly Sabbath.
      3. The fact that in the LXX, the Bible of the NT church, katapauoµ (Gen. 2:2, 3); Ex.20:11) and sabbatizoµ (Ex. 16:30; Lev. 23:32) are used interchangeably to denote the seventh-day Sabbath, would tend to preclude the suggestion that the writer of Hebrews intended to make a distinction between the noun forms of these words in Heb. 3; 4.
It may be noted, further, that the Jews of Paul’s time, whether Christian or non-Christian, were punctilious in their observance of the fourth commandment. Certainly, in writing to Jews, the author of Hebrews would not consider it necessary to prove to them that Sabbathkeeping “remaineth.” If the conclusion of the extended argument beginning with ch. 3:7 is that Sabbathkeeping remains for the people of God, it would seem that the writer of Hebrews is guilty of a non sequitur, for the conclusion does not follow logically from the argument. There would have been no point in so labored an effort to persuade the Jews to do what they were already doing-observing the seventh-day Sabbath. Furthermore, in apostolic times the seventh-day Sabbath was observed by all Christians, Jew and Gentile alike, and any argument to prove the validity of the Sabbath in those early Christian times would have been pointless. Furthermore, it may be observed that the section of the book of Hebrews consisting of chs. 3 and 4 opens with an invitation to “consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus” (ch. 3:1), and closes with an earnest plea to “come boldly” before Him in order to “obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (ch. 4:16). What relationship a protracted argument designed to prove that Sabbath observance remains as an obligation to the Christian church might have to the declared theme of chs. 3 and 4-the ministry of Christ as our great High Priest in the heavenly sanctuary-is obscure indeed.
“The rest here spoken of is the rest of grace” (EGW Supplementary Material on Heb. 4:9; cf. GC 253). It is “the true rest of faith” (MB 1).
We enter into God’s “rest” when we “consider” Jesus (ch. 3:1) and listen to His voice (chs. 3:7, 15; 4:7), when we exercise faith in Him (ch. 4:2, 3), when we cease from our own efforts to earn salvation (v. 10), when we “hold fast our profession” (v. 14), and when we draw near to the throne of grace (v. 16). Those who would enter into this experience must beware of “an evil heart of unbelief” (ch. 3:12), of hardening their hearts (chs. 3:8, 15; 4:7). They must strive to enter into God’s “rest” (ch. 4:11).
Those who enter into God’s “rest” will “hold fast” their “profession” (v. 14). They will “come boldly unto the throne of grace” to “obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (v. 16).
People of God. That is, Christians, who are now God’s chosen people as truly as the literal Israelites of old were in their day (Ex. 19:5, 6; 1 Peter 2:9, 10; see Vol. IV, pp. 35, 36)."

I am not dealing which church or any group knowing that Messianic can also be very wrong in doctrine. Unless the spirit of YAHUAH opens your heart you may declare others lawless in ignorance. Most of today's churches are lawless. I agree with that. The question is, the new testament explicitly restates all the other ten commandments again in the new testament except the shabbat. Why is the shabbat not explicitly stated in the new testament as something we should obey considering how important it was in the old? Why didn't Yahusha , his apostles or Shaul teach the shabbat in any of their sermons or writings? Because the writer of Hebrews explained what shabbat means and how Yahusha fulfilled it. Sabbath means rest....and it was kept as a rehearsal for the MASHAICH who will be a rest for all who shall believe in Him. Anyone who has entered into Yahusha's rest or Shabbat has seized from his own actions. In the future, the full revelation of the shabbat shall be revealed during the 7th millennium in which YAHUAH will bring a total rest for the earth and the Qodeshim (saints) of YAHUAH. So if you decide to honor it as Yisharel honored it in reference to how YAHUAH honoured in creation... Happy are you but don't judge others and oblige them to the same.
Read the book of Acts 14 and 15.... This is why I am saying that you can keep it in a legalistic way as Yisharel kept it but the Church keeps the shabbat by walking in the inspiration of the RUACH of YAHUAH.
I am not saying the shabbat is abolished but what I am saying is that the way of keeping the shabbat in YAHUSHA is different from how Yisharel was commanded to keep it. The reality of what was practiced for centuries is revealed in life in the RUACH.
We should not try to take the people back to the bondage of the Torah for which reason Yahusha died to save us. The Torah finds its true meaning in Yahusha and if you don't understand this, you will struggle with yourself many times for trying to do the same things Yisharel was commanded to do. Be led by the RUACH. Thank you

2Cor 3: 6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
7 ¶ But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

The Sabbath - Must Christians keep it today? The Sabbath law, which required rest from physical labor on the seventh day of the week, was a command that Jehovah gave only to the nation of Israel. But the law of Moses, including the Sabbath law, was abolished when Jesus died on the cross. Today we must teach men to observe all things that Jesus commanded His apostles, for Jesus possesses all religious authority (Matthew 28:18,20). The Sabbath law is not a part of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is God’s power unto salvation (Romans 1:16). Therefore the Sabbath is no longer binding on anyone living today.
