I wanted to review both the Gucci Marmont camera bag vs. flap bag since they're quite similar and in case you're also making the same debate! I was definitely debating between these two when I was first thinking of purchasing (spoiler one of them belongs to my mom so it's not both mine haha).

Hi Lisa, love your such in-depth review of the two bags! Indeed, i was hesitating so much on which bag to get while i was at the shop. One other reason is that it is more difficult to lock the flap bag if it is not fully filled.

the LYXBAG would be super cute during the fall with a nude or tan or even tonal outfit! i’m thinking a tan wool coat with that bag!!
Thanks for the comparison video. I was about to buy the mini flap in leather but do not like how the top creases and flattens. So the camera bag it is. Btw, the USD prices you posted and linked for mytheresa are set with the destination to Macau. The total price is actually the retail price of $1290 so basically you save the state taxes if buying through them.

I change my bag frequently sometimes twice in a day. And i like all sizes from a mini to a large size. Because all sizes serve there purpose.

@@getawei I ended up buying a lower end for my daily. I just couldn’t decide on a bag that I could love forever and it was starting to stress me out. I think I will actually save up to get the one I really want, the Gucci top handle with double G! I know I will use that one for life! 💕

Yes, camera bag is SMALL and the mini camera bag is TINY!!! It seems smaller (to me) than the mini flap! (cuz this is the mini flap)
Totally agree that buying a lower end bag for a daily bag is a great idea. I got the boy as my first bag and it’s a special occasion bag generally. Although with lock down, my bags never saw light so I brought it to the grocery store LOL. On the daily, I carry a long champ Lệ pilage. Nice to see that I’m not the only female that over analyzes their purchases. Xx

I just discovered mytheresa and their marmont bags are much cheaper than the ones in the actual gucci us site. Any idea why? I just bought the small camera bag and im loving it but costed me much more expensive buying it from the actual gucci store.

Mine didn't when we bought it but we checked diligently when we bought! if it's super mild i sometimes justify it by saying i probably would have made that myself eventually but i'm not sure if that's a good mentality LOL

I was between the Small and the Mini and was a little concerned if I had chosen the right one, and now I know that I had definitely made the right choice ❤️. And about the flat bag, I'm glad that you showed us about the open part. I would be very sad of loosing something because of that, as it is not a cheap option.
Also, I prefer leather because of the quality of the material. After 2 years of usage, it still looks that is a new bag? Is it in perfect condition? Thank you!
I mean, I was between the Small Camera Bag and the Mini Camera Bag! But I chose the largest to fit more stuff. But the Mini was perfect to my small body... it was a tough choice 😢

i love small camera bag, i have it in black as well, and great everyday bag for me, love that fits a lot too` , i also had Flap in red leather but realized that flap style doesnt really go with me.. but velvet of gucci is so special, i also i have marmont red velvet camera bag and it is so beautiful yes, you can see some use due to the material but it is so beautiful!

OMG i remember my marc by marc jacobs bag!! I used it for 6 years before getting my first 2 designer bags! MJ was the bomb!! I love the black pebbled leather with aged gold hardware :’)

I own the camera bag and all you have to do to fix the zipper is get some wax paper from the grocery store and just rub it gently along the zippier a few times and the zipper becomes smooth:) It doesn't hurt the bag at all! There is a video on youtube of how you fix a sticky zipper and she does this on a Louis Vuitton bag. xoxo Jen
