I saw this band at this time. A totally mind blowing experience. There was no Jazz Rock/Fusion at this time. They were a totally groundbreaking band.....and extremely loud too!! Ha! Ha! I have never been the same since Lifetime.
Lucky you. I have heard lots of Lifetime tapes and to me this short segment is the beat of them all. I have heard from many sources that they were LOUD. It funny because on one of the albums I believe it says "play it loudly" or something like that😂
@@StephenBuckingham I saw them at a lunchtime gig in a small London Theater which was packed. I was right at the front of the stage next to the P.A. I was right next to Mclaughlin's feet about 15 feet from Tony Williams. I was really loud. I was stunned by it. I had never seen a drummer like Tony. This was a whole new thing. Amazing.
