hi good job done what I do to stop the liquid getting into lcd is use scotch tape around the sides so if it runs it will only go onto the tape not the lcd hope that helps keep up the good work love the videos
What you should have done was bore more holes in the pad that you use on your hot plate. You don't have enough suction because there are so few on it that line up with those on the machine. Put the pad on the machine (hot plate). Line up the pad so whatever holes on it line up with your machine, then take something and make holes to line up with the rest on the device. That way you'll get proper suction. Right now you're blocking most of the vacuum holes on the device.
I love the dollar tree plastic tubs you have, I have many of them too. I am gonna make some videos of drone repairs, but want my work area to be clean first. Or not! lol

But seriously repair service will always say "Oh you need a new LCD screen and digitizer replaced" anytime of day unless the customer is knowledgeable about the matter. But seriously how many out there knows what's what with their device? And please I know there's honest repair shop out there, but the chances is slim to none as you stated it's absolutely pointless from a business standpoint doing just glass replacement :D.

And the whole front assembly for 101$ for do it yourself on ebay Then if you dont mind waiting two weeks,Aliexpress has them for 71$. Its an exaggerated repair people are scared cause they think they have to solder when replacing the whole assembly but all you do is put the cable on and heat the 4 points and the solder underneath grabs and holds.
I just dont get you ... Why didnt you AT LEAST take the backlight of ? after that apply it with locca glue , after cure-ing it with uv , you clean the back of the lcd , re-apply the backlight ( if backlight damaged you can buy one cheep , but i think you know that its cheep ) you apply new or old backlight , and after that you wouldnt have these problems , if i where a costumer and i would see a repair like this i would be damn pissed !!!!!!
friend , that's true , nowadays more and more customers prefer OCA more than loca glue , OCA is much easier ,and not liquid .One more thing , not so good to put too much liquid on the lcd , will be easier to leak into the lcd , there is easier way to remove the glue . to remove the glue on the LCD, I recommend WD40, which will help you easily to remove those sticky matters.

The sensor is for the smart case you don't have to put it on if you don't want only used for turning on of with Smart Cover
the sleep/wake sensor is not only for the smart case, it needs to be solder because if you don't you are going to drain the battery so much faster.
The power button will not work properly without it.

how come you didnt glue the digitiser back to the lcd?
because I didn't want to risk getting glue in the back light.

I had no way of figuring out how to get the glue out of the back light. this has to be done with oca

this is a cheap and cheat way to repair this. you obviously know you need loca glue to bond the glass to screen
