Sophomore 5’9 199 lbs
Notre Dame RB Kyren Williams is one of the nastiest players in all of college football. He’s a shifty playmaker who is dangerous with the ball in his hands. He’s the perfect third down back for today’s NFL. He could be used the way the Kansas City Chiefs use 1st round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
As of right now, there really isn’t a place Williams is expected to be drafted, but he should be on the radar for most teams.

I was at the North Carolina game and it was so loud when he ran that and everyone was jumping he’s ecstatic and brings energy with every play he’s so talented and he’s the most underrated player from notre dame in years

@Invincxble no he's not lol there's a reason cam went in the 2nd and kyren went in the 5th . Stop it. If your basing cams 2 fumbles in the playoffs on Williams being etter than him than don't forget to add Williams fumbled 11 times since 2019 at the college level

Nice little Running Back. The Rams are a good team at running the ball hope he brings it. Hope he joins Dickerson, Faulk, Jackson and Gurley as great Rams Running Backs.

@SholtzzzZ and thats good for his Backs. Takes the load off of them. Marshall Faulk wasnt a work horse himself and he was a premiere running back. Coming off the back field to catch passes did him a huge favor.

You must have forgot how nasty Faulk was man. Faulk was 2 inches taller bout 20 lbs heavier and way more explosive
This kid is tremendous, but might I add, props to the ND O line, they just look unreal out here.
great player! amazing season this year like always even though ND line was young and injured first 6 games really struggled. Best things about Williams 1) hes a complete player can catch and also one of top pass blocking RBs in college ball. 2) attitude / tough as hell. He has a swagger too even in games where ND got blown out by better teams like Clemson and Alabama last year Williams was one of the few guys on ND that still looked the part and was making plays. As ND fan he is best RB we have had since Holtz was coaching. Thats pretty impressive, although it's been a while since ND had a star RB in NFL they've still had several other RBs make the pros such as Julius Jones, DJ Walker, Josh Adams, Theo Riddick, Jonas Gray, CJ Prosise etc and Williams a step above all of those guys imo.
Yeah, was difficult finding highlights of him vs any half decent team on these clips.
He averaged 3 yds per carry vs Stanford, Cincy, and Wisconsin.

this "PLAYMAKER" ran a 4.72 in the combine......weak !!!!!................let's see how Notre Dame fgans polace the blame on this one
i am been watching the top 10 rbs for this coming draft, for me he is the best overall. if he was playing in alabama or georgia, he would be the no.1 rb...
@@ronrichardson5966 official time was 4.65 and he shaved it down to 4.54 at his Pro Day workout. But speed hardly sums up the qualities of a good RB anyway and he excels in areas like pass catching, footwork, reading his blocks and making tacklers miss in open space. It would be foolish to look at his 40yard dash time in a vacuum and use that as a barometer for how good a RB he is

His ability to shift laterally is elite.
He's pretty damn good. I could see him racking up 500 yards through the air pretty easily on the Rams, possibly another 500-800 yards on the ground.
Not likely, he'll be lucky to be Theo Riddick or James White

He's decent. I would take a shot on him day 3 of the draft. He just doesn't have a lot of the tools that make great running backs. Really good contact balance that gets him extra yards. And decent top speed. But nothing im writing home about.

Honesttly his speed looks terrible to me and I think it will be exposed at the combine and in the pros. If he had speed I think he would be great hes just not that fast. Looks 4.6 or slower even.
Hes actually slow he tested terribly in all the speed tests during the combine
@@joshromero-burgan9860 ever since Ross hurt himself doin the 40, players are hesitant to try their hardest at the combine. It’s 2022, the combine really doesn’t mean anything. Cooper Kupp was considered slow. Look what happened there.

People act like the rams rbs are trash cause cam akers was hurt in the playoffs. Yall forget he’s a dawg. Yall also forget there backup was top 10 in yards while he started, led the team in ypc over the season and made clutch catches in the postseason on 3rd down
He doesnt have elite speed. But his vision, balance and way he sets up the defenders to miss tackles is really good. really strong receiving skills. Tought back for his size. Runs with alot more power then his size would suggest. I dont see him as a top RB on team but a change of pace/3rd down a 2 back system would allow him to be productive at the next level. to me he feels like James White from NE. who has been a staple 3rd down back their for years. He seems like the kind of RB Belichick would like. and the fact that NE likes value in draft picks, have White 30 yrs old coming off injury and a RB on a contract year I could see him being drafted there.
Notre Dame RB Kyren Williams is a player I’m surprised people aren’t talking about enough. He’s the perfect kind of playmaker we see in the NFL today. He isn’t expected to be drafted in the 1st round, but he’s someone who can make an immediate impact in his rookie year.

I don't think we see a 1st round RB this year, just the NFL finally catching up to the valuation of RBs, I think Breece and Kenneth Walker Go in the second, looking at the last draft with Michael Carter and Kenneth Gainwell going in the 4th and 6th. and RBs getting pushed out of the 1st and that kind of range for that type of back, I see can honestly Williams making it to the 4th round, Which is crazy I know... but if he is, with JD McKissic probably looking for 3.5 mil this offseason, Washington better have Antion Gibson take the card in with that 4.3 speed so he'll have some help.

That's the difference between game speed & the underwear Olympics. Some great players can perform both on the field & combine, others don't check off all the measurements but are straight gamers. Jon Ross & Darius Heyward-Bey looked like superstars at the combine, too bad you don't get paid to run straight line 40s.
Kyren has ridiculous vision, compact strength, great balance, great passcatcher, & I'd challenge someone to find a better back in the draft in blitz pickup. The right team will find him. Let him go to KC, GB, Rams, Seattle.....teams like that & he'll tear it up. He's not a superstar feature back at the next level, but he can be a very good, durable RB1 on the right team/system.
He has that true game speed.... he plays much faster than 4.7

Barry Sanders was 5'8 203 lbs...Williams is 5'9 199 lbs...his vision and cut back ability reminds me alot of Barry Sanders.
Barry Sanders was also a much much faster rb. In the athletic testing William's was the worst in every area in this draft sure he plays faster than his testing shows but alot of these runs wont be there at the next level

My Rams picked ANOTHER Running Back? Wow! So what happened to Sony Michel? Is he gonna re-sign or will he play somewhere else? I hope Williams plays strong for us. Maybe he is better than Cam Akers. We'll see!
If your going just off talent no hes not. Theres a reason came Akers went in the second and William's went in the 5th. William's has excellent hands and hes great in protection but hes almost 3 inches shorter than cam hes 25 lbs lighter ran much slower in every speed drill , hes not as strong . I don't think we sradted William's to take over for cam but more to back cam up especially with henderson being a free agent next year .
Michel, although I love what he did for us, was always just a fill-in while Cam was injured.
