My favorite early Sun Ra. This was a budget release on RCA/Savoy back in the 80ies under the title "We Are In The Future". The original release by far has the better artwork. But loved the music from the first moment.
I’ve just received that Lou Reed album on black vinyl. As you say it’s a folk album, mostly sounding like Woody Guthrie or early Dylan. However, the last track , which is also acoustic and with John Cale sounds just like the V Underground.Fantastic stuff.
I just picked up that Reed album today. I am reading a biography on him currently and it talked about his writing those songs before the VU so I wanted to see what they sounded like before Cale got involved.

You’re right: Bruce Springsteen released two albums simultaneously in 1992 with Human Touch and Lucky Town! Very cool albums both. Best wishes and stay healthy!
Now then! I was a little disappointed when I heard those two Waits albums were being reissued, as it doesn't seem long ago they were released. I've already got the 2017 releases of Alice and Blood Money. What we really need are some of those earlier Island albums. I know it must be a licencing issue, but surely Rain Dogs and Bone Machine are due for a reissue?
Interesting, I have the original 2002 LP pressing of "Alice", and this was a single LP. Are there any bonus tracks on this reissue or is it the same material on 4 sides for better dynamics?
Mazzy tell me if I'm just crazy but I see this hard push by these companies to push out very expensive reissues as fast as possible knowing that things are going to get really bad and people will be forced to stop buying. Chad with his very expensive 6 UHQR's instead of just one at a time, Revolver box set for 200 bucks when we already have the mono 2014 version of it, MFSL one steps which are way over priced.
There are releases for all sorts of collectors and lots of variety. The ones I showed here are all under $30 and some are double albums with books. People should buy what works for them
"Misty Roses" by Blunstone is one of the most gorgeous songs I've ever heard.

All three Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra albums are classics especially their first one with "Summer Wine" and "Some Velvet Morning"

Definitely Bone Machine! How about Black Rider and Night on Earth. I don’t believe either were issued on vinyl. Nor Bone Machine

same songs on 3 sides for better sonics. It's a 48 minute record.
The original LP was already quite good, would be really interesting to check the difference.
