I can’t believe how much you do in a day. I also homeschooled two of my five boys. It was hard but so rewarding. You are such an awesome mama. You are giving your children an amazing gift, your time and a part of yourself. Your love for your kids shines through in every aspect of your life. I love your homeschool room too.

i appreciate your comments about home schooling the way it works for you as a veteran home school mom of 15 plus years having one graduate and my second will be this year down to my so who is in preschool over the years watching youtube i some times wondered if we had had a room or if we did more around the table instead of independent work what would of could of stuff and so i know when your new seeing others set ups or curriculums can be very intimidating. thats what i love most find what works for you and your kids and thats one of the best parts about having the freedom we have to home school them.

My daughter didn’t make it into the magnet school and our state now has a kindergarten cutoff so she won’t qualify to go to kindergarten at 4 years and 10 months in 2025 unless she takes an assessment. I’m not going to bother sending her to school if she already knows how to read by then.

I usually try to spend time with the little ones as much as possible before starting school, also working during naps is great or getting them involved with something like coloring or busy boxes that only get pulled out during school
How do I get my 6 year old to actually listen? We had a letter of the day today. G.. I sand a song, we said words with the letter G, and did the sound. Not 2 minutes after he said "idk" to asking what sound it made. I told him. We practiced. Next phonics word has it so I ask what sound and he goes "idk" 😅 this is a frequent thing
Don't go with an ink printer. Go with a laser printer. Laser printer last far far far far far longer than ink printers. An inkjet will print 200-350 page where a laser will print 2,000-3,000 (yes this is correct). My husband and I haven't replaced the laser cartridge for 8 years and we arent even 1/2 way through the cartridge. Now we don't print ever single day. It's more like once a month. Laser printers will never dry out like inkjet printers. Upfront the laser printer is more expensive, but in the long run it's less expensive because you aren't always buying cartilages *Edit if you go with a high yield laser printer it'll print 10,000-12,000 pages where a high yield injet printer will print 825-1,500 pages.

Your homeschool room is so cute. We did the kitchen table, dedicated rooms, couch, bed, wherever. My granddaughters just started their next year of homeschooling. Every homeschool looks different. There’s no right way to do it. You do what works best for your children.
