Fantastic comparison video. I love my Optifuel stove in cooler temperatures with all allowable fuels. I don't mind the sound, it's a sort of alarm clock in the morning letting my partner know that her coffee and breakfast is on the way. Thanks for posting this!

VERY interesting and revealing video! Shocking that the canister is liquid mode lost power and froze up so quickly. Couldn't believe white gas caught up so quickly. I would consider opening the leeward side of the wind screen to help warm the canister, while monitoring it closely, of course. I think both would benefit using the reflector disc underneath, but likely not a significant amount. Also by a bit more room between the wind screen and the kettle. I have the Nova original version and love it. This one seems nearly identical. I'm a liquid fuel guy, so canister operation isn't a factor for me. This video reinforces my position on gas canisters. Nice work!

Sehr schönes Vergleichsvideo. Ich habe mir vor kurzem auch den Optimus Polaris gekauft. Da ich gerne mit Merstoffkochern hantieren und es Handwerklich mag. Bin bisher sehr zufrieden damit. Freue mich schon damit auf Radreise zu gehen.

Great demo and it mirrors my experience using this stove as well. White gas goes so much further and is hard to beat sub zero.

Thank you for this great video! Very useful information for all who choosing best equipment fo travelling. The only thing that was not covered in video is the fuel consumption. It will be very interesting to repeat this 1L boiling experiment at same weather conditions, but with comparison of fuel, consumed in both modes (LPG 4 seasons and liquid fuel). I think that results of this experiment will be very useful for plannig total fuel quantity needed for overall expedition.
