I met Gene Simmons in a parking lot out side the music studio where they were rehearsing for the first return 'KISS with Make-Up tour' Me, my buddy, Gene and Peter just hanging out. We played "Name that classic Horror Movie" with Gene - one of his favorite horror trivia games. During that game, Gene turned to me, waved his hands over my face, rolled his eyes up into his skull, and theatrically pronounced will all the horror tonnage his incredible pipes could howl: "Svengali - Svengali!" I just about passed out.
I love this song and it's at that part -- 2:24 that really strikes a deep chord in me. I can't explain it but when ever I hear that part it's like something deep inside me awakens back to those days of real music. Rock - metal - disco it was all good. I used to get picked on a lot as a kid growing up back then so it was music that really got me through some really tough times in my life back then. And this song was one of them. Damn - I feel myself getting emotional just thinking about those days back then.
First time I heard this song was the rerecorded version(that I didn't know back then) from a Guitar Hero 5 DLC video couple years ago. Then I found and heard the original version music video. Comparing both, I like how the rerecorded version sounds more, but I also like how Paul's vocals sound in the original.
I've never undestood why some people call the original "disco version" maybe for little assonances with the Bee Gees style that in many ways they were not entirely in disco-soul music, anyway Sure know something also have the same sound but is not disco..
If someone could remake this, the perfect remake would be, in my opinion, to keep the new instrumental, except the bass part at 3:01, that should get put back to the original solo, because it sounds worse with this one. So the new instrumental, except the bass solo, with the old vocals, that’s a fucking banger kiss remake.
I guess since they can't do any better than the stuff they did 40 years ago, they may as well re-record them for something to do. Ah, to be rich and bored.
I hate to say it but this is trash compared to the original. The original sounded way more edgy and lit. Only redeeming qualities of this version is Tommies guitar solo
no .no.no. He just rips off the licks that Ace did .They should have tuned it down a whole step and made it real heavy, slowed it a little and made it really different ,like Judas Priest did with Turbo Lover, another clunker.
The issue is that the harmony vocal is gone from the chorus but it comes in toward the end right when they “sing can you get enough of me”. It sounds like it should then. Also the doo, doo, doo…etc, part is missing the harmony part too. Sounds like a falsetto robot.
When you activate the Dynasty Star Portal.
I’m actually angry that I know what this is referencing
You mean the ferris wheel
@@jojopotato7485 It's actually a portal to the cosmic world of Kissteria
@@jareththegoblinking3191 of course it is
@@ghostofshadow8631 Does she have to come?
The Scooby-Doo doo rendition hits harder for some reason.
I like the tuning on this more. I don't why, it just attracts my ears. Love the original too.
Same man
i think the original was a little sharp from whatever tuning it was in (it's debated if it's e standard or eb/d# standard)
Exactly my thoughts
I like it better because of the bass.
Sorry I’m late 😂
Man without scooby doo I wouldn't know these guys man they're awesome
Same
Who’s awesome the Scooby gang or kiss cause they both rock 😂
I didn't think KISS was that great until I watched Scooby Doo
I think I used to be scared of them
You and me both
Haha. I guess that's something. At least you found these dudes.
Best version of a great song.
I love both versions of this song. This was the version that I grew up with, plus this version is just way heavier.
Kiss Alive 3 version is the heaviest

Why even was this album removed from spotify I love the re recorded stuff
Was it also removed from iTunes as well?
@@revancousland2524 idk
if it's re-recorded it doesn't need to be remastered.
I dont remember this version bein this heavy
I like the instrumental of this better but I prefer the older vocals

I really love this version of IWMFLY
Magnific. Geneio. D. Rok. ❤
Even though Paul's voice is meh and autotuned, I still like this version a lot more. The lower overall tone does miracles for this song.
this is best but the another deuce
Nice remaster #imlate

Why did they remake all these songs?
Increible q lo q lograron! Nunca escuche una version remaster mejor q la original, pero esta es una excepcion, me gusta mas esta q la original
That is not even close. It's missing something big time.
With Tommy and Eric is Better!!
Sounds good but not even close like the original
sounds greater at 1.25 speed
It sounds like nightcore
The original is better with 432hz.
This version is too slow. Best version is the live Sidney concert from 1980. Eric Carr just about turns it into a speed metal song.
If they kept the old vocals with the new more full sounding instrumental it would've sounded great but the vocals ruin the song.
I guess since they can't do any better than the stuff they did 40 years ago, they may as well re-record them for something to do. Ah, to be rich and bored.
too slow
It was a studio demo recording.

You probably hate rock n roll and only like original because it sound like funky 80s club mix. This is real rock n roll sound like...
Lol the original is disco hahahahahahah
Impossible to be “edgy”
I like both versions
@@brianpratts now that i listen to it again the solo is shite compared to the og.
I hate this version.
I like both versions
then why are you here?
Another bad remake...jeeze. It sounded better on Dynasty AND on vinyl. All over these remakes sound better on vinyl. Too much separation, too clean
Then you aren’t a fan
This version is bloody awful compared to the original. It’s a disgrace to the Ace!
over produced.
very dirty and a little disjointed
eww.....original is much better. could've been redone so much better than this. ah well.
