It’s in every industry same as the DEI stuff. I’m all for inclusivity but when your employer keeps employing people based on the fact they have mental health issues that are given special allowances ie not having to answer the phone/can leave early and can have breaks whenever they want when they if they get triggered makes it unfair on everyone else and increases their workload.The unfairness gets to people and many staff leave just in my experience and imo.
My last commander of my unit in the Airforce, called all of us "humans" because she was so concerned about not offending anyone and wanted to talk about our pronouns all the time. This was 2021.

The very fact that veterans are stating that Wokeness is an issue, then I totally agree with them. The fact she couldn't actually explain how they were going to overcome these problems and didn't seem surprised speaks volumes
I'm a Veteran and I found the constant use of military as a social experiment for woke ideology as damaging to the combat readiness of the entire military.
I was stationed at West Point back in the mid-90s. The civilian academic instructors were already pushing the woke agenda back then. The woke movement goes back several decades.

If you can't see the polling data then it should be dismissed out of hand as wrong. These people should not be able to come to these hearings with results from data that is not available.
In addition, the polling procedures, questions, the manner of questions, the pool of surveyed individuals, all of that data matters.

I would never encourage anyone to join the US military nowadays. I retired from the Army in 1992 and live outside Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood) and am thoroughly disgusted with how the Army is run nowadays.
Write to the RSO of your region. Tell him/her (whatever!) that instead of having coffee and doughnuts, the Retirement Council needs to listen to the retirees and have relevant discussions on the real reasons retirees (A soldier for life) will not recommend military service. Then pass that up to the Chief of Staff!.

DEI and the alphabet movement is a good way to isolate the majority of possible canidates. Pandering to maybe 10 percent of the population is a good way to tank recuritment numbers and guess what its showing. Its the military, DEI and sexual inclusion shouldn't even be an issue. Everyone is a soldier. Our enemies are fueling these movement to weaken our country and military and its working.

As a man that recruited for the Navy 30 years ago, I will NEVER advise a young man to join husseins military.

I retired from the Army and have not recommended it to my son due to progressives. He was smart enough to reach that conclusion himself.

I am a veteran, served during the Vietnam era. One of the biggest problems with recruitment is you do not take care of the troops when they are discharged. I.e. agent, orange, contaminated water at installations, Asbestos in many of the buildings. I don’t believe this has to be said, but here it goes protect and invest in your troops, and they will protect you and your families.
If there is one competent member of Brandon’s administration I’ve not seen him/her/it yet.

I'm an honorably discharged veteran from way back. If I was a young person today, no power on this Earth could get me to serve this insane thing we call our nation. This nation of supposedly equal citizens now judges everybody by the color of their skin regarding everything. I am looking forward to the day when the USA collapses to vanish into the history books to join the USSR. And, yes, it will collapse soon because of the vulgar and unsustainable amount of debt this nation bears. Add up our national debt, unfunded liabilities, state debt, local debt, corporate debt, and personal debt, and it would take a block of gold about a mile square to pay it all.

When I was 18 I wanted to serve my country but I was turned Away, I guess I wasn't what they were looking for a man that was willing to die for his country.
There is not one official in this entire administration that will directly answer a question. How and where do they learn to dance around and obfuscate questions being asked? There should be no tolerance of such behavior and the fact that there is, is the whole problem. No accountability whatsoever.
Does anyone else find it odd that no one that discusses the weakening of our military and the difficulty recruiting will mention Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin's and Gen. Mark Milley's insistence on building a non-conservative, LGBT, non-binary military that will pay for abortion, sex change (sorry, gender reassignment) surgery and push other woke ideology? This new and improved military will however continue to refuse quality health care to current members of the military and veterans.
Oh, I almost forgot, that also welcomes any and all victims as well as all those offended by just about everything positive about this country.

Asking my brothers who both served for over 2 terms, they will say when you find out all those people you killed, all those civilians, was not even for the reasons you were told; instead It was for money, oil, global control, destabilizing another countries, then you know why veterans are strongly urging people not to enlist. They are miserable, one wants to take his life, and they are angry, all because of the atrocities they were forced to undertake by their commanding officer.

My son's ship just received a man who is waiting to have sex reassignment surgery and they had to go through around round of dei training. We are heading into war and the navy is worried about chopping off genitals and wokeness training. That's why no one wants to enlist.
I am an Army Veteran, served in Persian Gulf and Panama. My family has served since 1770's. I am talking my son out of joining. This Woke crap is dangerous. That's why kids are not joining. I am just sad I have to talk him out of joining.

Service started becoming very political within the last 10 to 20 years..I retired in 2018 and the DEI thing wasn't prevalent but it was slowly trickling in..

And she is not aware that woke is a perception about the military, said the DEI hire, when the chairman of the Joint Chiefs hadn't made it obvious. As a BN Commander in command of 800 Soldiers, I refuse to make Soldiers participate in the PULSE survey. I am a trained Equal Opertunity Manager and I can say that the military is the oldest most diverse organization in the world. The military should be running and teaching Equal Opportunity to Fortune 500 companies. We shouldn't have Civilian Psychologist tell the military how to employ EO.
I come from a background of military family. I was in the army 75-79. Now when I am asked about if I would suggest they should suggest there family members go into the military, I would tell them to find something better and safer. Politics and wokeness .

There hearings accomplish nothing. These witnesses come to appease the members, and lie to the public. As a Vietnam veteran, also have served in two branches of the military, Marines and Army.
I would never join today’s woke military, it is way too political. I never saw racial problems, we were brothers in arms, all colors and races. As a white man, from Alabama at the time, my best friend in Vietnam, was a black Marine from Cambridge, Massachusetts. After coming to the states we talked on the phone, as much as an hour. After coming stateside, Camp Lejeune, my best friend was an Hispanic Marine. We had no problem with LBGT+, that stuff never entered our conversations, and has no place in our military. The government has turned our military into a social, cultural experiment. Our military is not the military I was a part of, that I was proud to join, I was not drafted. I discourage my grandsons from joining today’s military, it has become an embarrassment.

Im 58 years old, retired Air Force and feel the last generation of parents failed the eligible recruits by lowering standards and by accepting mediocrity. It poisoned this generation. Why would they give up their "entitled" status to conformity even with the lowering of standards and maximum age changes to increase recruitment? I grew up in a time when we learned to tie shoes before kindergarten rather than resorting to velcro. We knew how to read a tape measure and tell time on an analog clock. We signed paychecks in cursive. We knew what spackling was by 8. We had pick up games and didn't rely on parents to drive us to practice...we ran there. Not everyone received a trophy and we kept score! We knew how to give change back when someone gave us a few cents over. We played outside and drank from hoses. We actually developed social skills through personal interaction rather than hiding behind social media walls. We earned enough money to buy a beater car and were proud to have it. We weren't handed a new car at graduation. We knew what patriotism was at an early age and many There is a reason why only 1% serve because they are made of the character to be combatants. Let's stop dropping the bar and get back to grass roots military! We have only ourselves to blame for this predictable outcome!

Can't just change perception. Reality must be changed. Get rid of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell". Stop Gay Pride events on bases, ships, etc. Stop having Drag Queens put on a show aboard Navy ships. Stop the annual training regarding all this B.S.
I have a son in law that has 12 years in the Navy. He is getting out. He enjoyed the Navy the first 9 years. But once he got on the Nimitz it destroyed his enjoy in the Navy. He is willing to give up 12 years of service. He was placed on a fast track by his commands up to the Nimitz. He was put in jobs normally held by higher ranking enlisted. He was sent to get schools that very few get. That tells me as a former Sailor and knowing him the military is screwed up. I know they have been pushing CRT and other things that has no place in the service. Stop the BS and get back to being the best Military in the World
