Incredible. I've loved them for years, can't way to see them this November. I have such an emotional attachment to this band, grown and changed and been in so many different stages of life while listening to their music. Dot In The Sky just hits me so hard

Much more obvious is their similarity to Sad Lovers And Giants that started making records in 1981. Their best and most mature album is from 1983, though. And what Drab Majesty do is *very* close to that album ("Feeding The Flame"). Both groups had/have a great talent for writing good tunes, and so I love both--never can have enough of that sound :)
Fantastic songs....all of them. The granny wigs and shades.....idk. It IS a unique look as no one has done THAT specific look. For me they don’t need to look like that for me to listen to them. They could be wearing sweat pants and gap T-shirt’s and I would still feel the same about them. They are that good.
Hot damn!!! Why is this band not megafamous? I'm binging on them....made a playlist....I listen, I get happy. :) "Cold Souls" omg....""Unknown To The I" and "Too Soon To Tell"....wowwww, take me awayyyyy.... The look = 60s Brian Jones dutch boy hairdo. They can pull it off.
In case anyone is looking for the almost exact sound they are channeling: Try Sad Lovers & Giants, ca. 1983. The original has more great songs per album up their sleeves, but nevertheless I love many of Drab Majesty's songs. And I like their unique outfit.
It looks like a strat to me, he’s got a heavily effected sound, lots of delay and reverb and chorus though, sounds awesome. I play guitar and use a heavily effected tone also, so I recognize it
sorry, it's you who didn't get the question: IS HE USING A GODIN ? I am asking for the brand of the guitar, not the MODEL. You should pay more attention next time@@sureimhappy
I FUKCING LOVE THESE GUYS!!!🤘🏻🙌🏻
I just discovered him 2 days ago, " Elipsis" on heavy rotation.
Mona’s little improv pieces are just spectacular
Reminds me of some lucid dreams I’ve had
Just god damn spectacular. Regardless of the amount of times I listen to Cold Souls I still get chills.
My fav for sure
Ridiculously good song
Where does it take you?
Yes!! Yes!! Over and Over again!! Love this band!! DM!!
That’s my favorite

Also I fucking love the bottle of wine on the Marshall. So Peter Steele
Drab Majesty´s sound is timeless
luv to see these guys.I know Andrew Clinco is involved in other projects but Drab is a winner.
Reminds me of kitchens of distinction and black marble. Too good to ever escape the fringe.

Is the intro on any of the releases? Like a segue or something.
@@TRaddcliff unfortunately not, just somebody they improvised to lead into Dot In The Sky.
Their song Cold Souls sounds so good
Best song :) like !
I am seeing a lot of Sisters of Mercy in these guys....still love them!
It's like a updated time portal to the world of 1980's underground 4AD new wave. 👁cness of 😎. The only ones like this.

They also have a hint of Chameleons.
@@wolfgang4468 Asylum Party are closer in sound....
@@philiparcher2868 You are right, but imo also Asylum Party tried to emulate the sound of Sad Lovers & Giants, they had their first record in 1988!
@@darthcees1138 Yes indeed, and also a little bit like Clan of Xymox.
I cant get enough of that smooth slow guitar work at the start...Ecsquistite
Cool doods. Love how they change the light for each of their songs.
Excellent band, remembered golden years of Xymox.
40:35 new song! fantastic song
@@gemac.g.8442 yes, incredible track, a bit more atmospheric than the 2 previous one for the upcoming album
Deb & mona 💕💕
Amazing, ethereal sound, love these guys, keep it dark and melancholic :)
Awesome set, thanks for filming. Oxytocin already sounding perfect
Magnificent wonderful stuff love it these guys are geniuses
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for the *great* concert upload! Love when the band is so nice to the audience!

They look like Lady Gaga
Yep, me too. All I really care about is the music
DIVINE AS ALWAYS! Thanks to who filmed it& who posted it!💜

Really love that intro, they are just so good.
Это прекрасно
Beauty and slowly melody.
They're amazing 😍
Refreshing af
Great video and set - always wonderful
Excellent! Thanks for the upload :)
Oh man. November 18th cannot come soon enough. Had to buy tickets to AFI just to catch a DM show.
Great setlist. Lucky crowd.

They sound better live! I mean the albums are gems also but damn!

GREAT
I would love it if Brian Jonestown Massacre and Drab Majesty had a collaboration performance/album etc.
The Parts between the songs... when they just play freestyle... not from this World

God.Damn.
...How do they see with those sunglasses on? 🤔
Their goals are beyond your understanding

Its so wild. Watching them play in the dark it's like Dr. Zauss from Planet of The Apes had twin sons that are also cosmic wizards.
😻➹♡
If these people paid to go see them why are they talking while they are playing?
Acquire a Iive drummer and their show would be peak I reckon.
I agree. And a bass player.
Agree with both of you. A drummer would be sick. I gotta see these guys live.

Genuine question. Is he an albino wearing a wig?
Badly b3TT3R than the Beatles !!!)!((((and greatest )!(--****
Crazy a year ago they should of added more sage to get rid of these bad vibes 2020 brought lol
They need a full band to achieve the proper live effect.
nope
Nope, sound better then most bands, infact they are brilliant live. Still think about it.
No
Absolutely not needed. This was one of the best live acts I’ve ever seen in my entire life, hands down.
I think they do just great with just the 2 of them.
Sometimes adding more heads just screws up the chemistry
Wacky dudes but fkn great live.
what you mean wacky?
@@4Azryou mean they’re not normal?
Everyone looks like this where I’m at, lol. Just kidding
Sounds a little like The Birthday massacre, at nineteen minutes and just before.
The birthday massacre are awesome
Gothic Hermes and Renato
Love the band, but vocal on their live show is not match their records and sound bad.
Vocals sound great live.
@@paulcollins5586 Maybe I'm deaf but for me it's sound really bad, like they can't hit right note and keep breathe.
It sounds distorted in this vid because of effects I believe. Vox sound great in their Audiotree vids.
Mona D should stop "singing" since he's clearly not able to do it properly.
Completely disagree with you. He’s an excellent addition and rocks Dot In the Sky,
@@lemustache101 it's the only song where he doesn't sound like a whining elder.
I think they should drop the fake names. It doesn't add anything.
Ohh my fuck!
