I remember moving from eastern to my first NORAM, 1990 realizing I was in way over my head. So humbling yet so rewarding.

what a great instructional video IMHO (and I'm a ski instructor) ...I love how they break it down, and also the focus on the proper stance ...would love to see more videos like this one.

I remember the Turin Olympic games, especially the moguls. I'd gotten off work, went to a friend's house, sipped some whiskey, and we turned on the Olympics. Mogul competition was on. I remember watching a competitor do a back-flip off the second booter. I was so stoked to know that the inverted ban had been tossed. I snowboard now, but I do miss my skis for the bumps. You can bump on a board, but not like you can on skis.

пусть эти две серии фильма из Канады будут моим подарком на память Марии Сказительнице, русской красавице из Канады, нашему доброму другу по LiveJournal. Русская Америка не забудет Русь никогда

Thank you! Looking 3 turns ahead made my mogul ski stable and fast! I tended to look at a turn a head but that was very tough. Now I learned a rope of how to mogul down fast.

Just watched, Funny all of the statements about skiing, I had all of those same thoughts. Reassuring that I was doing all of those things without a trainer.

oh, so this is Canadian mogul skiing - damn, it looks and sounds just like European and American mogul skiing

Well Canada dominates moguls so until Europe wins then you can shut the fuck up

Sking bumbs as become a robotick perfectionist experience with zero art. Not foe me to boring and always the same thong.

yea it's hardly as dynamic as the major disciplines in skiing like the downhill and the slalom

Zero Art? That is in the eye of the beholder. Mogul skiing from my viewpoint IS the epitome of self expression and dynamics. It looks robotic because they are at the highest elite level. Reach anywhere near that level, and there is little to any experience quite like it. Thankfully I know what the feeling is and it has hooked me/fascinated me for my entire life. I am not the biggest fan of the generically perfect/man-made mogul courses of today that are built for priority 1... speed. That did take away a bit of the individuality and the uniqueness of each particular skier. Now they are looking more and more molded into the same look. I still enjoy watching mogul skiing evolve and hopefully some individuality/uniqueness works its way back into the sport.

I couldn't care less about mogul skiing, But I think it's beautiful to see people having fun in whatever they do.
