I love all these Niagara Falls/Buffalo videos. This is my old home and I'm missing it. A blend of both nostalgia and seeing how things have changed. Very fascinating. That factory you drive by around 4:00....That's the old Nabisco plant. One of my great-uncles used to work there. I miss him (and my aunt).
😇I drove the Finger Lakes route😇 It was 2006, I fell in love with NY State, specifically Buffalo and my favorite place on Earth "Niagara Falls". I'd wished I had driven into NYC, I was driving a truck and pulling a horse trailer, so I opted out of the big city tour. In the 70's when I was in grade school in Oregon every day we said the Pledge of Allegiance and sang America The Beautiful, during I always could picture and felt drawn towards NYC. I want to see NYC, visit the Statue of Liberty, see a Yankees Game, see Wall Street in action (I trade stocks) and see the Twin Towers Memorial and a lot more. The climate in NYS felt similar to Oregon's Willamette Valley, lush and green with low humidity, Winters are obviously not similar, the snow and ice never bothered me NEway though. Snow always has a soul calming quieting effect with me. I've traveled extensively throughout 43 states, The Great Lakes States are my favorites, they have a great vibe and make me feel peaceful, happy, and home. The Mid West is also Great and a favorite of mine, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi too.
I will say I live in Buffalo and after the recession in 2008 and our tyrant governor Cuomo, things haven't been the same and it's only gone down hill, it looks like a ghost town now. Within the past year with how he handled lockdowns half of our city even moved out. For sale signs everywhere in homes and businesses closed for good, they all went down south... many factories and malls also closed then, i believe in 2006 the summit mall in niagara falls was still open but I was 7 then but i remember that closing along with probably 50 other places at least. Also of you come back don't take the toll roads unless you have an ez pass or else you'll never get your bill from the toll in the mail before it's too late and somehow you ended up with a $1,000 fine for a $1 toll but luckily there's a lawsuit out for it.
@@Sam21998 😇 It will get better soon 😇 The last few years have been really great for Buffalo real estate. The destruction of the infrastructures and economy is everywhere, not isolated to NYS. Your lucky to live there in Buffalo NY.
@@jasoningram4617 how come I'm lucky? I have to deal with Cuomo that alone in itself it's as unlucky as it gets. The only person that's worse is California's governor or Illinois governor.
@@Sam21998 😇 Visit your City Hall 😇 Take pictures with the fountain and lions. Aren't you supposed to drive in the right lane unless passing slower traffic?
There's not much to see, on the highways. Much more interesting to take the local roads and streets
thats true !
He should've taken River Rd from Niagara Falls to NT and hopped on the highway in the city of Tonawanda haha. Avoid the tolls that way too.
How far is the drive, is it traffic when you get in buffalo city.
No unless its 5 pm
