Hanna Gabriel is very calculating in her critique of Clarissa Shields trying to take the focus away from fighting and making it more about femininity and personality. She doesn't give Shields credit for beating herself or Hammer, and that's ironic considering that she may have put up a better effort but the end result was the same. Shields is carrying the sport while Gabriel and the others fight in their respective countries fighting lesser talent but questioning Shields' level of opposition.

Looking at Gabriel's Box Rec her level of opposition isn't outstanding and all of her belts were vacant she's never beaten a champion to become a champion. Gabriel's is politely insulting Claressa Shields, she is understating Shield's skills and abilities, and she's using Claressa's size and strength as a main factor in her loss to Shields but she's also saying that Shields doesn't have much power, which is it? To be an ambassador to a sport you need to have a presence and Gabriel lacks this, most of what people say about her doesn't matter in the ring. She lost to Shields in the ring, what happens on the podium after the fight doesn't matter. And again even with all of the flaws Gabriel has pointed out Shields was still able to beat her.
Hanna is conflicted she says she has fought more powerful fighters than Shields but those fighters despite being powerful than Shields Hanna beat them. I'm not caught up in Gabriel's looks boxing isn't a beauty pageant. Hanna was being very disingenuous in this interview. She seemed to be very jealous of Claressa and the path she has taken to be one of the faces of women boxing. Hanna on one hand even give credit to the attention Claressa has brought and then mentions that she should curtail the very characterisrics that brings the attention. She carried herself a certain way and people barely knew of her prior to her fight with Claressa.
She clearly lost to Shields, but it was not a landslide. I scored it 7-3 for Shields. And Gabriels dropped Shields in the first. Classy woman. I like the way she carries herself. I can listen to her talk all day. Very good interview, Blue.

Very impressive and classy. But I believe when Clarissa gets more experience under her belt she will become one of the greatest fighters. She’s still rough around the edges both in and out of the ring. Still my favorite fighter.

Hanna gave a good account of herself, but other than the 1st round, Shields pitched a shutout from 2nd round on. She needs to eatch the tapes again if she thinks she out punched Shields. She went up to 160 and Sheilds came down to 160. She scored a flash knock down with a right uppercut. Sheilds was stunned but not hurt. The difference in the 1st round from the rest of the fight is Gabby's game plan was to be aggressive. After the knock down, Shields backed her up the entire fight. Shields out worked her, more accurate punches, had more hand speed. Gabby was tough but her punch count was low and she was gassed by the 5th round and had her lowest output in the 5th. Gabby stopped going forward and stopped being aggressive as in the 1st round. The unanimous decision was accurate. She Gabby fought in spurts and was pressed going backwards the entire fight. My biggest complaint about Claressa is her lack of power. As big as she is they need to teach her to punch with her body weight behind her punches and not just arms. She can't take her oppenent out with one punch and she ckearly hit Gabby with clean shots that should've taken her out. If Sheilds does score a knockout out at this juncture, it would come from an accumulation of punches. It was a good fight and Hanna Gabriels was tough for 10 rounds.. Just not enough to win.

Hanna was being very disingenuous in this interview. She seemed to be very jealous of Claressa and the path she has taken to be one of the faces of women boxing. Hanna on one hand even give credit to the attention Claressa has brought and then mentions that she should curtail the very characterisrics that brings the attention. She carried herself a certain way and people barely knew of her prior to her fight with Claressa.

Very impressive and classy. But I believe when Clarissa gets more experience under her belt she will become one of the greatest fighters. She’s still rough around the edges both in and out of the ring. Still my favorite fighter.

This lady is a hell of a fighter the powers-that-be. I can't put my finger on it Miss Hannah is the fighter to watch
Hanna gave a good account of herself, but other than the 1st round, Shields pitched a shutout from 2nd round on. She needs to eatch the tapes again if she thinks she out punched Shields. She went up to 160 and Sheilds came down to 160. She scored a flash knock down with a right uppercut. Sheilds was stunned but not hurt. The difference in the 1st round from the rest of the fight is Gabby's game plan was to be aggressive. After the knock down, Shields backed her up the entire fight. Shields out worked her, more accurate punches, had more hand speed. Gabby was tough but her punch count was low and she was gassed by the 5th round and had her lowest output in the 5th. Gabby stopped going forward and stopped being aggressive as in the 1st round. The unanimous decision was accurate. She Gabby fought in spurts and was pressed going backwards the entire fight.
My biggest complaint about Claressa is her lack of power. As big as she is they need to teach her to punch with her body weight behind her punches and not just arms. She can't take her oppenent out with one punch and she ckearly hit Gabby with clean shots that should've taken her out. If Sheilds does score a knockout out at this juncture, it would come from an accumulation of punches. It was a good fight and Hanna Gabriels was tough for 10 rounds.. Just not enough to win.

As long as I've been alive and through the HISTORY of boxing there have been rematches. That has been the mainstay and money maker of this sport since it's creation. Don't forget that's why we have this sport in the first place.
