I like the BPS changes. They’re not something that dramatically changes the game but I think it’s a minor adjustment that results in the BPs awarded at the end of the game feeling more accurate and deserved. Like it didn’t really make sense to me how a GK could get 3 BP in a game they lost 3-1 just because he saved a penalty. That doesn’t really feel accurate. Similarly players who win a lot of free kicks getting some kind of acknowledgment for that feels earned
Salah + Haaland was 17m last year, this year it's 17.5m. Not that big a difference. Yes, you can't have Saka, Palmer, Watkins, Salah and Haaland but other great value picks will emerge as the season progresses.
