  • while diving in Elphinstone reef looking for hammer shark at the end of the dive we spotted this huge oceanic whitetip shark roaming around so we just had to take a video of it, however, after a while, we got bored and got distracted by this huge jellyfish. while I was distracted thinking that the shark went away he came from the back circling around us and almost was going to bite my fin or calf thinking it is a yummy fish

The shark seems to be the only one handling the situation quite well.

NR1 rule with shark diving: keep eye contact. This shark is just calm and curious.

Smashing shark footage to be fair. Loved the sinister music choice as well.

The ominous music is also a red flag for shark activity nearby.

When you know that there's a shark nearby you can't just look at anything else. You have to keep the eye contact with the shark all the time especially with Oceanic Whitetip because they get really agressive really easily.

Yeah, that's close and dangerous encounter with wildlife 😂
sry bro, this shark is calm, relaxed and beautiful.
But congrats to your nice jellyfish shot.
Better put the jelly fish in the thumbnail than this scary image of a big white. Because you saw a white tip, easily to recognize by....the white tips, right 👍

Take a downvote - you earned it.
The shark swam past gently while you were oblivious to danger. You can’t be serious with this 🤦🏼‍♂️

The shark encounters are what people go for to Elphinstone Reef. This diver ignored the proper behaviour in presence of sharks, filmed a jellyfish instead - and then brags on UA-cam about a shark attack when in reality the oceanic white tip behaved perfectly calm. Maybe look for a different sport.
