  • Wing Chun Wing Chun kung fu basics episode full version:
    What to build your Self-confidence? Start now: bit.ly/2GDOyYA
    Hi,
    Master Wong here.
    Let me ask you some questions…
    Do you want to Self-confidence and are you ready to improve your health and coordination?
    Wouldn't it be awesome if you could get rid of fear and learn to defend yourself? What if you could instantly download Wing Chun into your brain? These are questions I used to ask myself as well.
    Just imagine if you had that Wing Chun Kung Fu skill, what would you do with it? Would that instantly change your life and health for the better? Unfortunately, Wing Chun Kung Fu isn't as easy as inserting a cord into our brains to download the information like the Matrix. You'll have to find a good Master if you want to learn correctly. Even if you find a Master that could expedite your training, it's going to take years to hone the skills that you envision.
    Talk about "Wing Chun Kung Fu overload" . . .

      Yes, he took a few knocks here and there. He is wearing body armour on many parts of his body underneath his loose clothing. If you listen carefully, sometimes you can detect the actual sounds of the body armour upon impact/contact, particularly on his arm/arms and chest area and he would also be wearing protection to his “family jewels”. 🤪

    Very simple and effective techniques. Demonstrated very well also.
    There is a sudden craze for MMA, nothing wrong with it but a fight in the streets compared to a ring fight where things are regulated are very different.
    Well done Master Wong

  • @flameo1000
    @flameo1000 10 років тому +3

    From what i've seen there is 2 types of wing chun out there, one type they would want to get as many strikes and hit on a person as possible, but the strikes are weak. Most of the time they just chain punch.
    The other type they would want to finish the fight with a few shots but strong blows.
    Chain punch may work on an untrained person, but on a trained person its not very effective, its a bunch of weak punches at a very fast speed, but it wastes energy. Its better to get one good shot, than waste your energy on 50 weak hits.

    • @flameo1000
      @flameo1000 10 років тому +1

      Anyone else notice these 2 types of wing chun out there?

    • @dragster100
      @dragster100 10 років тому

      I kinda agree with your point there, which we don't need 50 chain punches delivered repeatedly towards an opponent, that looks like bitch-slap to me. I think the competition wing chun is all about who throws the most chain punches which is crappy.
      But I don't think there are really two significant different styles of wing chun - it all come down to what would the practitioner like to do or what the master prefer to do, some prefer chain punches while some prefer more effective and efficient finish.

    • @dragster100
      @dragster100 10 років тому

      LikeMaster Wong he doesn't really encourage you to throw chain punches all the time - of course there are moments when you can do so, but not doing chain punches blindly otherwise it will look like bitch slapping on someone.

    • @Mr_Faz
      @Mr_Faz 10 років тому

      the main reason u dont need to use chin punches coz wingchun teaches u how to defend and use another person's force. when you are striking you use your own force but the beauty of wingchun is you can defend and strike back at the same time without putting any of your force in. but that depends on ur leg movement and stands which helps you in doing that and you just strike back using your own force if its needed.

    with regards to the man grabbing the throat with 2 hands.... lowering the chin is good to protect your throat is good, placing the arm over his arms and using the hand to punch his chest may not work against someone who can take a punch in this area. I would say lower your chin yes while reaching underneath his arms to the inside gate of his arms placing your arm right or left on the opposite of your right or left, leaning down on to this side while turning or twisting ( or pivoting ) your body in this same direction. This can be done quickly. The movement of your body will force his grip to release!

  • @SuzieLady

    Master Wong, you make this look so easy and do-able.. but what about when, like me, one has constant lower back pain and generally are not very strong?..
    I live in central London and return from work late at night alone and often worry about my safety and always fear being attacked and though your moves look easy I would be worried that I will throw my back into spasm just trying to defend myself using any of these techniques..Plus, what if the attacker, having been stopped initially by any of these techniques, recovers and gives chase to finish the job!! I would be too scared to defend myself in case I angered the attacker! Urgh! .. I wish I had taken up Kung Fu as a child so I could defend myself now I am middle age! Thank you Master Wong, regards Suzie

    • @masterwong101
      @masterwong101  9 років тому +1

      I'm not going to lie too. If you don't train then you will struggle to make it work. People make things look easy because they spend time practicing. Confidence can be built when training. But you may want to consult a doctor first before you begin training due to your injuries. Age is not an excuse. If you want to overcome your fear you have to start some where to fight it. You need to train your mental side as well as the physical side. Be more aware when your making your journey home. Could you find a safer root home. Could you use better transportation? Always look for a solution.

    • @SuzieLady
      @SuzieLady 9 років тому

      You are right, of course Master Wong. Training makes anything look easy.Confidence will come with levels of skill acquired. Yes, I think a physical assessment from a doctor for me is key, thank you. Fear is not the issue for me, its being injured. I know that if I have the skills to defend myself plus keep from being injured I will be fine. As for an alternative journey, no there is no other way, the solution is to arm myself with spray or learn some skills to deal with an unsavoury attacker. I thank you for your time Master Wong and for sharing your art. It's a wonder to me.

    Have you techniques to knock out somebody before the attack is starting for example hiting the eyes and the throat like a cobra?
    I saw many techniques from Bruce Lee and other fighters,,
