The fact that the doctor found no issues from years of physical abuse to his head, but found the stress factors from his previous years of drinking really put things in perspective. Drinking did more long-lasting damage to his brain than all of his insane stunts.

It's a nice quote and easy to say when you're Steve-O, but not everyone is Steve-O. You don't know how long you're going to live, if you don't have the money to fund surgeries, physical therapies, implants, etc, do you really want to burden yourself with debilitating health issues? I think we were all more reckless as children (at least I was) in regard to our bodies, but personally I got tired of doing irreparable damage and being terrified having cavities, muscle and tendon issues, yadayada.

I love Steve-O so much. I got sober 11-21-22. Ive been in a sober living environment for over a year. Which is not a bad thing right? But it does limit some things in the relationship realm. Im perfectly capable financially to move out and be plenty comfortable. But holy Christ. It is so scary. I realize i wont be alone. Ever. I know this ya know? But still. I know plenty of people, at work even, who have lived in sober homes for five years or more. And they seem happy. But i want to continue to move forward. Too me moving forward is being responsible in my own self funded sober living space. Ive talked to Ken (my sponsor) about it many many times. He suggested ill know when the time is right. I feel like its been right for awhile. I was like, "why not post the question on an extremely toxic environment like yt comments 😂😂! Idk much love to all going through it. So much respect. Thanks for reading all this this. My mom always says, "Cliffy just continue to be a light."

Oh man thank you for being so open and honest about your ails and injuries, I too am a mess from fcking head to toe :/ just to name a few things: keratoconus, diabetes, thyroid cancer/total thyroidectomy in ‘20, skin cancer, chronic nosebleeds & anemia, asthma, degenerative disc/bulging disc and damaged 3rd and 4th vertebrae, sleep apnea, anxiety and depression, also missing 4 teeth, calcium deficiency, right shoulder has bone spurs, calcific tendinitis, etc etc etc. I’m actually about to get a lot of imaging done, dental work, and more work on my nose because 7 cauterizations didn’t work, and then had an aortic embolism that did’t help as much as we all hoped. Anyways, good luck and god bless, bro! and see you on reddit! It’s gonna be a heck of a year.

I still drink and smoke zaza occasionally plus cigs but I'm tryna quit those) but I don't do hard stuff like ket and pills anymore, and I attribute a lot a of it to Steve-o, the man himself. He'd always keep me positive and whenever I wanted to relapse I'd put on a vid of happy sober Steve-o n it'd give me motivation to stay clean. I also had a Jackass 1-3 marathon snuggle date with the loml the day before last and we were in stitches.
