As a knuckle dragging Jarhead, we always joked about the AF. Then in 2011 my Daughter Enlisted in the AF. She is still in and a Tech Sgt now. At one time she was one of only a few women who were a part of AF Spec Operations (FARP). I gained an entire new perspective on the Air Force. Recently I attended the Logistics Officer Association Symposium with her (she went on orders TAD/TDY) just for fun. I sat in working groups and different talks on the Space Force, attended key note speeches by several Gen Officers including Gen Mike Minihan. Talks on the future of the F-35 and the Nuclear Triad and Global Strike, Space Force Logistics, and what seemed to be the most important issue "Contested Logistics" concerning N. Korea, China, Ukraine, Taiwan, INDOPACOM..I was beyond impressed with the Enlisted and Officers I had the honor of meeting and socializing with that entire week. What the Air Force is doing is just fascinating. Yea they are not crazy like Marines and sometimes call each other by first names. But what they do...They do VERY well. From Airmen to Generals.... Col Campbell is legendary in the AF.
As an American woman… I sincerely hope they make a movie about her. I love her demeanor, intelligence and patriotism. Which is why I’m positive they won’t make a movie about her ❤
afghanistans population is over 30 millions, US population is over 300 million and yet you still lost, american people/military lost, the MIC profiteers won
I watched your talk at GE Aerospace and was completely humbled. As a Marine Vet, thank you for your service along with all the other A10 pilots. You are an asset to our country!
Kc , Just read your book and enjoyed it very much. Thank you for your service. I was a crew chief on the C7a Caribou in Viet Nam. Your are a true inspiration to young and old. ❤ these interviews.
AWSOME STORY.....THANK YOU. My mom was stationed at Luke Airforce , and always loved watching the A10's. Still my favorite plane of all time. Now I get to watch the F35's fly every day. ❤ u guys
Kim Campbell: THANK YOU. I remember sitting in an advanced accident investigation class in Minot, ND when the shuttle blew up. I was too old to do what you did. Thank GOD you were young enuf, and made your own sort of difference. Congrats and nothing but well wishes to you and your family.
@@Nutty2087 I went to go check to see if she was on any podcasts after i finished watching her story and they ended up posting this podcast 17 mins before I found it. So indeed insane timing.
This lady is a hero she’s very experienced and hours off learning and following what her mentors has thought her. She’s very humble and willing to help others. Great sorry I would love to see a movie made about her. Thanks heaps.
A-10 is so ghetto cool, when several frontline attack aircraft had or were getting ir imaging laser designation systems by 91 Desert Storm or even earlier, the A-10 had to keep an IR guided maverick on station to use to see at night in the desert lol! Love that bird!
The thing I think this version under touched on is the plane itself. It did exactly what it was designed to do including not being shot down. At some point while limping it, I might have had that thought probably followed by "as long as it's flying.....".
Thank you for labeling this video with simply her name. A lot of others wanna put “Female” to marginalize her in a way. I’m just glad you treat her with respect and exactly the same as a male. Like we would never put “Male” a-10 pilot. In a title. But some other liberals that interviewed her they just had to twist the knife to marginalize her. So they mention “female” in the title. Because they have to divide at every turn. I have 5 daughters that all race and they hate being labeled “female”. It makes them feel like they look down on them.
When ppl always say they knew what they were going to do at the age of 10. Or 7.or 4... " when I turned 3 weeks old k knew I wanted to be a pilot when my parents took me to a local air show. I told my parents that I would fly for the air force ..."
What makes these female pilots more hard-core than us dudes is what happens to them if captured.Pretty much the worst death imaginable and a very slow death.
So basically then She was Flying a piece of Swiss cheese home .What a Brave Pilot .I've just watched about a British Female Helicopter pilot Medical evac and left a response I believe this lady deserves as the same BOUDICCA WITH A BRAIN .
Doubt she would see this but I think it would be cool for you and your husband to make a bit of a series going thru your careers , balancing relationships in the military especially when both are in service and tell some of your guys combat stories , the list goes on what yall could go on about , anyways just a thought and thank you for your and your husbands service and I just thought your story was incredible and inspiring showing that much courage under pressure
I'm just glad the BRCC Podcast is back, I was beginning to wonder what was going on with the 2 month gap. Drum Titties ya'll! Wait, not hers...be nice to those.
I thought A-10 had redundant backup flight control systems for everything ? Like if hydro went out there was a backup old school cable system ? Edit …. I paused a second before she explained exactly what I thought lol

Amazing podcast…BUT had to just listen. This most bizarre set up, reminiscent of the COVID social distancing vibe you have going on is beyond bizarre and I couldn’t watch. The chopper handlebar mic setup is just weird. Simply my opinion of course. Hope y’all didn’t get “cricks” in your necks from side talking! The CONTENT was fantastic. I did go over to BRCC to watch her vid..makes me proud to be a woman…one who grew up when women COULD NOT be fighter pilots.
Bad ass batch in a bad ass weopon of war. I bet she got hit with rpgs that America had given the "now" enemy. Edit...I thought she was in Afgan getting hit by American gifted rpgs.
I guess I’m a misogynist at heart. With caveats. A friend, classmate & company mate of mine from Annapolis went on to serve the Corps at a higher level than I could have hoped to & became the first female squadron commander in Marine Corps aviation history. I laud her and her capability. That said, I still don’t believe women have the capacity for service in ground combat arms. Nor is there a need in that capacity.
We can serve at a high capacity in a different, yet necessary way. I know ladies who have intelligence that is off the charts. I’m an analyst. We can do big things, and make big moves that doesn’t always mean boots on the ground. ❤ My way was linguistics. I speak 3 languages outside of English. I know ladies who were nurses, and trust me they are Earth Angels 😇 with invisible wings. But I understand what you’re saying.
“There were Troops in contact”, in the most matter of fact tone, ever. IYKYK
Huge shout out to Kim's flight lead as well 🫡🇺🇲

It's not a movie, but there is a documentary Discovery did. She is featured, they have actual footage, ND interviews.
@@AmericanSCPO I wouldn't want Hollywood to destroy this story anyway.
Hollywood would distort all truth and make her a villain, not the heroine I support.
