    I saw an accident with an Ascent and it was absolutely crushed. The driver still lived, she was seriously injured, but alive. Paramedics said they’ve never seen a car keep someone so safe.

    I’m 15 and 1/2 I have LOVED cars all my life (I could name almost all the brands of car by the time I was 3) I used to love Nissan a whole bunch but then my uncle got a job a Subaru ever since then I have LOVED SUBARU!!!! I knew that I wanted a Subaru for my first car and I was very lucky to find a 2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5i hatchback for a great price!! I just got my learners not to long ago (i’m from the U.S don’t know when you all get yours) and ever since I had started driving I have LOVED IT very fuel efficient, very responsive ,VERY fun, and of course VERY RELIABLE!! Now I have even more confidence in my Subaru knowing that it is safe too, for a beginner it needs to be safe and we all knew that a Subaru would be perfect!! I really did not think a car could feel like a family member until I had my own SUBARU!! Thank you for being a great reliable, safe, and long lasting car brand!! GO SUBARU!!

    Glad you came out okay! My daughter and I are also alive thanks to Subaru. In December 2014 we were driving on I-70 in Kansas and it became foggy with freezing temperatures. Someone in the oncoming traffic hit a patch of black ice and crossed over into our lane while going sideways, and hit us head-on with a combined speed of over 100mph! The front end of our 2005 Impreza 2.5RS was flattened, and the other driver's Tacoma passenger side door was touching his center console. They had to use the jaws of life to cut me out of the Impreza. We both ended up with two broken legs and needing multiple surgeries (my daughter still had both feet on the brake pedal when he hit us, and my legs hit the glovebox despite seatbelts and airbags, while the seatbelt broke 5 of my ribs). But the highway patrol told me that they would usually expect multiple casualties in an accident like this. The other driver and his dog were ejected from the truck, and both came out with just cuts and bruises (as far as I know). My daughter is now driving a 2015 Impreza Sport and I'm driving a 2017 WRX, while my son is driving a 2015 Forester XT and my Wife drives a 2013 Tribeca - we feel safe with Subaru.

      Mathieu Morin they do not counter each other dude, I’m an engineer trust me, the crumple zone doesn’t even compensate for more than 20mph and he said that they hit the side of the Tacoma, which means no crumple zone on both sides only their side.

      Maybe safer than they used to be but Volvo is still the safest.. quite possibly would not have had such bad leg injuries if any in a Volvo of same or even earlier year model..

    • @TheTiloalfa6
      @TheTiloalfa6 4 роки тому

      Martin R Subaru only keeps up with safety regulations, Volvo goes above and beyond, they have always set their own benchmarks in engineering safety as they’ve always had the knowledge that safety is an obligation and the right thing to do, they invented the seatbelt, and rather than patent it they have its design free of charge to other car companies because it was the right thing to do as it would save more lives. I wouldn’t buy any other car.

I sold my 1984 Outback for $100 with 333,000 miles on it after it was knocked off the road by a drunk woman in a Cadillac. Car was moderatey damaged I was not. Thanks for sharing your story Graham!

    I was driving an 05 legacy and i hit black ice. i felt the car pulling, and surprisingly I was able to maintain my distance with the car in front of me and stay in a straight line. Since I was in manual mode I was able to downshift , and that allowed me to regain control and change lanes. Thank you so much Subaru. the manual mode on the automatic transmission is a life saver.

    I've always been a luxury car kind of guy, had 2 BMW's previously but It always let me down. I've been stranded in highways and street. I got my first Forester 3 years ago now and its a feeling I can't explain. I feel secure and a peace of mind when I'm in my Subaru. It's so reliable, simple and feels safe. You get so much safety and technology that I feel people still don't understand of what happens behind the scene when you in bad weather conditions or in just bad terrain. Subaru gives me comfort that I will get home safe. I'll always be a Subaru. Trying to get a new one now but I heard the Forester STI might be coming soon 😁, so idk. But thank you Subaru!

      I’m not really a person who is brand loyal, I’ve had everything from Mazda Miata and Rx7’s to Toyotas, Chevy, etc. Subaru is the first brand that’s making me think about staying with in the family. I agree with you one hundred percent. It’s not a luxury vehicle and never pretends to be. There’s just something really unique and solid behind Subaru vehicles that relays a sense of safety and simplicity.

    Hi friends. I bought subaru impreza wagon 2005 (right handed jdm), at the 1st of august i turned left on a highway (Birsk city, Russia) and made an accident with a Renault Duster at big speed, my airbags shooted right in time even i had no safety belt on me and Renault smashed my sides front corner, my car burnt because i had LPG on it, but i didnt get injures or wounds. The body and frame are very hard. The Duster was totaled, engine got backwards, roof had folded and the panel moved back. My insurance covered duster ( 400k in roubles is limit its about $7500 USD ) GOD thanks subaru made it good and even my mistake/

    I’m still a firm believer that Subaru took their data from their rally racing crashes (thanks, Colin McRae…you legend!) and applied that knowledge to make their road cars safer. Most all manufacturers are safe in 2024 but there’s a reason Subaru isn’t just safe, but legendary in their safety ratings. Subaru is second to none

    One would think that other auto manufactures would instill SAFETY n2 their cars as well? For instance, my 03 focus doesnt even have ABS... I MEAN C-mon 4real??? My 1992 Pontiac had ABS yet 11yrs later, ford is still pinching pennies & putting $$$ over lives. I obtained this focus because it is all my finances allowed at that moment yet I have spent triple that fixing it up so, In heinsight, maybe I should have waited & percured a nicer automobile..The more I learn about Subaru,the more I like what I see!!!!

    Really good, reliable, durable cars. This horrific crash was more about great fortune than any belief of superior build quality -for as decent as Subaru is, it's clearly evident that over-use of weight-saving body panels (among many other weight-saving measures ) will result in an accordion-like crumple that would be anything but laudable.
