What's never discussed is the migration of people living in the Southwest compared to 80 years ago. The demand for water has grown a ton due to this migration, yet it's always about climate change that is blamed for the reason the lake level at Lake Mead is down from the early 80's.
Climate change is a golden goose. Blame everything on that while they can. $$$$.
