Second gens aren't just automatically weaker than third gens, second gens can also be very powerful against third gens cuz of their flame control, though it does require more strategy and thought, but there isnt really a thing as a "standard" 2nd gen, they could all be powerful but it depends on how you use it, Hinawa was very smart and used it to its full potential.

The demon Shinra swore to kill was actually his mother, damn, and once he gets to finally hold his brother for all this year, he got controlled by the second pillar like wtf. And Shinra being third pillar and Shō being second damn! That's something good
Just a quick question. Who do you think is stronger? Sho, or the captain of the 7th(the strongest fire soldier). I don't doubt that the captain has a much bigger fire power, but he also said that if he didn't know about it, the concentrated kick would've hit him. Meanwhile, sho handled it without any trouble whatsoever. So I basically see it as a battle between firepower and speed. Personally, I think sho would win, cause I doubt he would give the captain any times to use his extreme fire power.
It's from the anime I'm unsure. Needless to say, in firepower, it's obviously the 7th. The question is, can his firepower overcome something like Shos ability to literally stop time? I don't think it'll be an easy win, but if Sho takes advantage of his ability and goes for a drawn out battle by exhausting the captain, I don't know how he'd counter it.
In the recent chapters of the manga we see benimaru's real abilities, I'm not sure if he can be completely immune to the slowed time, but it would be much less effective against benimaru like sho slows time by 3 times, it might turn into 0.5 times against beni so not sure, but beni is a boss.
